Click here to Apply Online : Click/Select on Introductions Menu for Acquisition, Citizenship Rules and Citizenship Act.

3 INDIAN CITIZENSHIP ONLINE Go to Ministry of home affairs website by typing in address of web browser, the following screen will be displayed. Click here to Apply Online : Click/Select on Introductions Menu for Acquisition, Citizenship Rules and Citizenship Act. Click/Select on Applying For Citizenship Menu to How to apply online, Download Forms and Apply Online. Click/Select on Online Status Enquiry link to get Current File Status of Application. Click/Select on Fees link to get Fees Structure of Applications. 3

1. ONLINE APPLY INDIAN CITIZENSHIP FOR FOREIGNERS After Clicking on respective Apply Online link from the previous screen, the following screen will be displayed.

ONLINE APPLY INDIAN CITIZENSHIP FOR FOREIGNERS After Clicking on respective Apply Online link from the previous screen, the following screen will be displayed. : Click/Select on respective Registration As a Citizen of India Under Section 5(1)(a) Link for fresh Apply Online. Click/Select on File Status link to check current status of given application by putting MHA file Number. Click/Select on General Instructions link to get General instruction about Indian Citizenship. 4

Read carefully Before Apply online. Click on Back Button to go to the list of section / form.

5 1.1 APPLY ONLINE After Clicking on respective Registration link from the previous screen, the following screen will be displayed. : Eligibilty criteria, list of required documents and Uploading Instructions are showing for the selected Section / Form. Read carefully Before Apply online. Click on Back Button to go to the list of section / form. Click on Apply Online button go to Form details. Click on Modify / Print Application to modify and Print Application details. Click on How to Apply online link to download User Guide to Apply online. 5

1.1.1 FORM DETAILS EXAMPLE: Section / Form 5 (1) (a) Details After clicking on Apply Online button from the previous Screen, the following screen will be displayed to fill applicant s details, father

6 1.1.1 FORM DETAILS EXAMPLE: Section / Form 5 (1) (a) Details After clicking on Apply Online button from the previous Screen, the following screen will be displayed to fill applicant s details, father s details, mother s details, spouse s details, passport particular and details of residence in India. Note down Temporary Application ID : Fill all details and Click Save and Next button to go to next tab. Click on Back Button go to Previous Page. Note: Please note down Temporary Application ID, to modify Online Indian Citizenship Application before final submit to the Ministry. Please notice that you cannot move from one tab to other tabs at first instance. But, once you have filled and clicked on save and next button of first tab then you can move from one tab to other tabs. 6

7 1.1.2 LAST NINE YEARS DETAILS IN INDIA After clicking on Save and Next button from previous screen the following screen will be displayed. Edit existing address records Click here to go to next tab Enter all address details and click on Save Data button to save data. Applicant can enter multiple address details. Applicant s address details will be displayed in the bottom portion of screen. Applicant can edit / delete any entry by clicking Edit / Delete button respectively. Finally click on Next button for next tab. Applicant can click on Particular tab for go to next tab. Delete existing address record Note: At least one address entry is compulsory. If you click on View Application or Final Submit to Ministry button then they will respond with appropriate result. Before clicking on those buttons it is mandatory to fill certain details. At every step, please read the appropriate instructions which are displayed on displayed screen. 7

1.1.3 DETAILS OF FAMILY MEMBER WHO ARE STAYING IN INDIA WITH THE APPLICANT After clicking on NEXT button or clicking on tab from previous screen, the following screen will be displayed to add details

8 1.1.3 DETAILS OF FAMILY MEMBER WHO ARE STAYING IN INDIA WITH THE APPLICANT After clicking on NEXT button or clicking on tab from previous screen, the following screen will be displayed to add details of family member who are staying with the applicant. Edit existing family record Click go to next tab Enter family details and click on Save Data button to save data. Applicant can enter multiple family details. Applicant s family details will be displayed in the bottom portion of screen. Applicant can edit / Delete any entry by clicking Edit / Delete button respectively. Finally click on NEXT button for next tab. Applicant can click on Particular tab for go to next tab. Delete existing family record Note: Applicant can directly go to next tab by clicking NEXT button if no family details are available. 8

1.1.4 CRIMINAL PROCEEDING DETAILS After clicking on Button NEXT or clicking on tab from previous screen the following screen will be displayed to add details of Criminal proceeding.

Edit existing criminal record Click here to go to next tab Delete existing criminal record Enter criminal proceeding details and click on Save Data button to save data. Applicant can enter multiple criminal proceeding details. Applicant s criminal proceeding details will be displayed in the tabular portion of the screen. Applicant can Edit / Delete any entry by clicking Edit / Delete button respectively. Applicant can click on Particular tab for go to next tab. Note: Applicant can directly go to next tab by clicking NEXT button if no criminal proceeding details are available. 9

10 1.1.5 DISPLAY UPLOADING PHOTO After Clicking on Go to Next Page button from previous screen the following screen will be displayed. Click here to Browse photo Click here to View Application Details Click here to upload photo Click here to Final Submit to The Ministry Click on Browse button for browsing scanned saved photograph. After browsing click on upload photo button. Immediately its shows photo. After clicking on upload photo button if you see the wrong photograph then immediately you can click change photo link and browse correct photo Before final submitting to the Ministry, Click view application for details. Click on Final Submit To The Ministry button for Final Submission. Note: 1. Kindly ensure that all application details entries are correct before clicking on final submit to the ministry button. If required Modifications in Application then go to first screen and select Modify /Print Application. 2. After clicking on Final Submit to the Ministry button the Modification of the application is not allowed and all tabs have disabled. 10

1.1.6 DISPLAY FINAL SUBMISSION TO THE MINISTRY After Clicking on Final Submit To The Ministry button from previous screen the following screen will be displayed.

11 1.1.6 DISPLAY FINAL SUBMISSION TO THE MINISTRY After Clicking on Final Submit To The Ministry button from previous screen the following screen will be displayed. Please note down MHA File number to future reference The use of this web form is displaying the MHA File number and finally submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs. The MHA file number can be used for further uploading documents and Print application file. 11

12 1.1.7 UPLOADING DOCUMENTS After clicking on Close button or tab from previous screen the following screen will be displayed to uploading scanned documents. Click on Browse button for browsing scanned saved documents. Click on Upload Documents button for uploading documents. Note: Each document should be in PDF Format and the maximum size of any document should not be more than 1024kb (1MB). Print Application button enable after uploading scanned documents. The size limit of each document is 1MB only. Please scan and save your documents accordingly in appropriate format (PDF). 12

13 1.1.8 VIEW UPLOADING DOCUMENTS After clicking on Upload button the following screen will be displayed to view uploaded scanned documents. Click here to Print Application Click here to view documents Click on View document link to view scanned uploaded documents. Click on Print Application Button for take a print out of application. Note: Print Application button will be enabled after completing of uploading documents. 13

1.1.9 PRINT APPLICATION After clicking on Print Application button the following screen will be displayed Note: After printing the application, Enclose applicant s recent passport (35*35) size

14 1.1.9 PRINT APPLICATION After clicking on Print Application button the following screen will be displayed Note: After printing the application, Enclose applicant s recent passport (35*35) size photograph and submit it to the District Collector / District magistrate/ District Commissioner office. After Submission of application kindly upload again documents.. Kindly read Print Application/uploading documents section 1.3/Page 25 of this document (user instructions). 14

15 1.2 MODIFY APPLICATION: SUPPOSE YOU HAVE FILLED SOME PART OF APPLICATION BUT NOT YET SUBMITTED FINALLY THEN THIS PART OF INSTRUCTIONS IS HELPFUL FOR YOU. Pre-requisite for modify application: You should have your TEMPORARY APPLICATION ID And you have saved at least your first tab information. After Clicking on Modify/Print Application link from screen of page No.5 of this document then the following screen will be displayed. Click/Select on Modify Application option for Modification of Application. Enter Temporary Application Id and Date Of Birth of applicant and click on Modify Application button. Note: The Modification of the application is not allowed after Final Submit to the Ministry. 15

Now, you can change/modify your data. If you change/modify any date then Click on Update and Next button to update application and go to next tab. Applicant can also click on Particular tab for go to next tab. 16

1.2.2 MODIFICATION OF LAST NINE YEARS DETAILS IN INDIA After clicking on Update And Next button from previous screen the following screen will be displayed.

Click to edit existing record Click here to Update Click to delete existing record Applicant can edit / delete each address by clicking Edit / Delete button against each entry and click on Update Data after modifying any entry. Click to edit existing record Click here to Update Click to delete existing record Applicant can edit / delete each family member by clicking Edit / Delete button against each entry and click on Update Data after modifying any entry. Click on next button or particular tab for go to next tab Note: Applicant can directly go to next tab by clicking Next button without modifications or if no family details are available 18

19 1.2.4 MODIFICATIONS OF CRIMINAL PROCEEDING DETAILS After clicking on NEXT button from previous screen the following screen will be displayed to add details of Criminal proceeding. Click to edit existing record Click here to Update Click to delete existing record Applicant can edit / delete each Criminal proceeding by clicking Edit / Delete button against each entry and click on Update Data after modifying any entry. Click on next button or particular tab for go to next tab 19

After browsing click on upload photo button. Immediately its shows photo.

20 1.2.5 MODIFICATIONS UPLOADING PHOTO After Clicking on Go to Next Page button from previous screen the following screen will be displayed. Click here to Upload Photo Click here to Final Submit to Ministry Click here to View Application Click on Browse button for browsing scanned saved photograph. After browsing click on upload photo button. Immediately its shows photo. After clicking on upload photo button if you see the wrong photograph then immediately you can click change photo link button for uploading photo. Before Final submitting to the Ministry, Click view application for details. After click on view application button, Final Submit to the Ministry button will be enabling. Click on Final Submit To The Ministry button for Final Submission. Note: 1. Kindly ensure that all application details entries are correct before clicking on final submit to the ministry button. 25 1.3 PRINT APPLICATION/AFTER FINAL SUBMISSION UPLOADING DOCUMENTS After clicking on Modify/Print Application from first screen the following screen will be displayed to Print Application. Click here to Print Application or Upload Document Click here to Print Application Click on print application/upload Documents option for uploading further documents /print application. Enter MHA File No and Date of Birth of applicant and click on Print Application button. Note: The Application can be print only after final submission to The Ministry and uploading required documents. 25

1.3.1 PRINT APPLICATION OR AFTER SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION TO DISTRICT COLLECTOR After clicking on print application/upload documents from first screen the following screen will be displayed to Print

26 1.3.1 PRINT APPLICATION OR AFTER SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION TO DISTRICT COLLECTOR After clicking on print application/upload documents from first screen the following screen will be displayed to Print Application. Click on browse for uploading further documents. Click on Upload Documents for uploading scanned documents after submitted application to District Collector/Magistrate. Note: After submit hardcopy to District collector/magistrate. Applicant has to scan and upload all parts of application with sealed of district collector and Original copy of bank Challan. 26

27 1.4 FILE STATUS After Clicking on File Status link from the first screen the following screen will be displayed. Kindly Enter the MHA File Number use to display current location and track application status. Click on Back Button to go to first Screen Click on Submit button to get and track file status of application. 27
