4 HELP! MY DEVICES WON T SYNC Device synchronization guide: If devices do not respond, power cycle the device, click on synchronization button and make sure the indicator is on. Otherwise run a network heal (refer to next page) or re-synchronize the device. I DON T KNOW MY BRIDGE LOG IN DETAILS If you do not know your login details, contact Vynco at vyncoauck@vynco.co.nz for existing registered address (Please state your contact details and Bridge serial number clearly, this can be found at the back of your Bridge). This process will take at least three working days. WHAT DO THE INDICATOR LIGHTS MEAN ON THE LIGHTING MODULES? Note: the module must be powered up in order to enable the LED to indicate anything. Fast Flashing Device is not synchronized to a NEXUS-BRIDGE and not in synchronization mode. Slow Flashing Device is not synchronized to a NEXUS-BRIDGE but is in synchronization mode Solid On Device is synchronized and light is on Solid Off Device is synchronized and light is off MY SCENE RUNS WITHOUT THE DELAY THAT I WANTED If you find there is no activation delay after you run the scene, make sure you set and select the delay first, before you set the status of the scene output. I WANT TO SYNC A CAMERA THAT I HAD PREVIOUSLY REMOVED If you wish to synchronize the camera again after you have removed it from the Bridge, restart the camera, and wait a while. Then repeat the synchronization guide. If the camera does not appear on the Bridge, try to restart the camera a few more times. I AM RECEIVING NOTIFICATIONS WITHOUT TRIGGERING THE DEVICE I am occasionally receiving notifications even without triggering the device (for those devices already set up with notification): Click on Automation, then Triggers, ensure that you have not set up a trigger twice or that the triggers has not already been set in the device, making the trigger appear twice. ENERGY DASHBOARD PROBLEMS Activation: The activation time is supposed to be up to 10 mins. If it takes longer than that, try to restart and re-login to the Bridge. Export CSV: all names displayed as ######: If you are using excel this is because the default column width is not large enough, highlight the area between A and B and make the cell larger and you ll be able to see the name. MOBILE APPLICATION CONTROL IS NOT WORKING Do not setup duplicate Bridge at the Bridge setup page (i.e. only setup once per serial number, unless you have deleted the existing one and set it up again). Otherwise you will not be able to control Environexus devices, although you can still create and assign controls with no error shown.

5 REPAIR THE NEXUS- NETWORK BEFORE YOU START YOU WILL NEED: A working NEXUS-BRIDGE (i.e. all three lights are solid) Bridge login account ( Powered up Environexus devices Computer connected to internet If you have moved devices around since the initial setup of the Environexus-Network, there is a possibility that you will need to run a repair. Select SETUP tab, Z wave settings. Choose Repair and Go. Message box at the top of the page will show repairing status during the heal. And show heal successful after done. Heal reports is available by clicking View repair report after repairing is done. It will be lost after power cycle the NEXUS-BRIDGE. Note: The heal process may take a couple of hours depends on the number of devices you have, so it s better to leave it to run overnight. During the heal, your devices will response very slowly if you try to control them by mobile application or web login since the heal generates a lot of traffic. - GUIDE COMPLETE -

7 NEXUS-BRIDGE TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE BEFORE YOU START YOU WILL NEED: Computer (connected to Internet) A working NEXUS-BRIDGE (i.e. all three lights are solid) Bridge login account ( WHAT DO THE LIGHTS ON THE BRIDGE MEAN? After the NEXUS-BRIDGE has been installed correctly (see Environexus Installation Guide), all three LEDs should be solid if the NEXUS-BRIDGE working properly. Blue LED: Power indicator. Orange LED: Mesh network indicator. It connects the NEXUS- BRIDGE and all other Environexus devices (e.g. relays etc.). Green LED: Internet connection indicator. It connects the NEXUS- BRIDGE and Internet. (This is the point that most of the problems occur). If your NEXUS-BRIDGE is not functioning properly (e.g. green LED flashing), check your Internet router and cable first, then try to restart the NEXUS-BRIDGE and wait for 5 mins. If this does not help, refer to this troubleshooting guide. Note: Always connect the NEXUS-BRIDGE with Internet (network cable) first, then turn on the power. WHAT IF THERE IS NO ORANGE LIGHT SHOWING ON THE BRIDGE? Solution 1 (recommended): Login to the Bridge, press Reload button at the top right corner of the page. Solution 2: Power cycle the Bridge. WHAT IF THERE IS NO GREEN LIGHT SHOWING ON THE BRIDGE? If green LED is flashing or off, check Internet connection and restart the Bridge. Problem still exists, reset the NEXUS-BRIDGE to default network settings (see opposite page). TROUBLE LINKING ANOTHER NEXUS-BRIDGE If slave Bridge does not appear on the master Bridge while searching (more than 10 minutes), make sure they are connected to same LAN, uncheck Scan for UPnP devices and Save. Try again in 10 minutes.

8 RESET THE NEXUS-BRIDGE You can follow the next steps if you wish to reset the NEXUS- BRIDGE. This is useful for when the home/building changes owners. It requires three steps, remove all devices that have been paired with the NEXUS-BRIDGE. Reset all other settings (rooms, network settings, scenes etc.) to factory default. Finally the user account will need to be un-paired to the Nexus-Bridge. Note: Energy dashboard will not be reset by doing this. Caution: By doing this all data and synchronized devices will be lost 1. Reset Environexus-Network. Remove all devices from the Nexus network individually (If you are not sure how to do this, refer to Device sync guide, How to remove a device). Then select SETUP tab, Z-WAVE SETTINGS. Select ADVANCED. Click GO beside RESET Z-WAVE NETWORK 2. Reset to factory default settings. Select SETUP tab, then BACKUP. Click on RESTORE TO FACTORY DEFAULTS. Click YES beside RESTORE TO FACTORY DEFAULTS. You can also complete this step by double clicking the reset button on the Environexus-Bridge (use a paper clip) located near the minus sign and hold it seconds on the second click. When you release the button the Environexus-Bridge will cycle power and reset. 3. Un-pair the user account. Find the IP address of the NEXUS-BRIDGE. (Refer to Environexus Application User Guide). Put the following URL into an internet browser to delete the account, replacing IP-Address with the IP Address of the ENVIRONEXUS-BRIDGE on the network. If successful you will see an OKOK message. Then restart the NEXUS- BRIDGE. NOTE: This will not delete the user account, but un-pair the current Environexus-Bridge from the account. 4. Restart the NEXUS-BRIDGE.

9 RESET THE NEXUS-BRIDGE TO DEFAULT NETWORK SETTING (By doing this will not unpair the Environexus devices which have already been synchronized with the NEXUS-BRIDGE.) 1. Put A STATIC IP on your computer (Refer to Appendix on the following page if you are not sure how to do this) IP Address: Subnet mask: Default gateway: Unplug all the power cable from the NEXUS-BRIDGE 3. Plug a network cable from your computer into the NEXUS-BRIDGE Ethernet port, then plug the NEXIS-BRIDGE into power and wait for the NEXUS-BRIDGE to power up. 4. Open your web browser and type this in the address bar: Now you can see the Dashboard page of your NEXUS- BRIDGE 5. Select setup, then net & wifi. Click reset to default network settings. This will reset the unit to default network settings and can take up to 5 minutes. Then you can unplug the NEXUS-BRIDGE from your computer and connect it to the Internet. (Remember to change settings done at step 1 back to your previous computer settings, so that you could use your Internet as usual). PROBLEM RESETTING THE BRIDGE When you un-pair the Bridge with user account, if any error message is shown instead of OKOK, restart the Bridge and try again. If the error message is still shown, login to the Bridge, it will advise whether un-synchronization was successful. - GUIDE COMPLETE -

10 APPENDIX -STATIC IP Follow the appropriate instructions based on your operating system: NOTE: Changing the network settings on your computer will disable internet access, you will need to revert these changes once completed. WINDOWS 7 1. Open Control Panel 2. View by: Large icons -> Network and Sharing Center 3. View by: Category -> View network status and tasks 4. Click on CHANGE ADAPTER SETTINGS 5. Right click on ETHERNET connection to NEXUS-BRIDGE, then click on Properties 6. Highlight the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) item, and click on Properties 7.
