6 Version Release Purpose of Release Version of Visual Nexus has been released to provide the following features: Support multi tenancy system that enables multiple organizations can share one Visual Nexus system independently. Improved large scale deployment on Visual Nexus system. Support load balance feature on cascade system Enhancements in Version Meeting Server Support multi tenancy system. Visual Nexus v3.2-3 now supports multi tenancy system that enables multiple organizations can share one Visual Nexus system independently. - You can create a multiple number of Organization which are independently defined in the system. - Each organization can have its own administrator independently.. - System Administrator can control the whole Visual Nexus system ; Create organization, allocate license to each organization, create meeting template and allocate to organization. - Organization administrator can create user and group of organization and schedule the meeting.. Suport Large scale deployment. Visual Nexus v3.2-3 improved system performance on large scale deployment such as; user accounts creation. - Support 1000 endpoints registration to gatekeeper simultaneously. - Supports 1000 Visual Nexus Endpoints login simultaneously. - Supports 300 Visual Nexus Endpoints meeting simultaneously. 7 Version Visual Nexus v3.2-3 now supports load balance feature among multiple slave servers on cascade system. - MCU load balancing allocates endpoints to each slave server (MCU) dynamically adopt with its MCU loads. - Web service load balancing enables to run Visual Nexus web service on multiple slave server which can reduce the master server loads to keep login sessions with each Visual Nexus Endpoints. message feature. System administrator can send message to all users, groups and organization administrators. Organization administrator can send message to own organization users and groups Fixed and changes in Version Meeting Server LDAP import speed has been improved...ldap import function now improved the import speed up to ten times. Multi tenancy deployment has been added to install option. Now Meeting Server install option has following three options. Stand Alone, Cascade System, Multi Tenancy. Web service components (tomcat, vnapi) are installed on slave server too. You can deploy web service on every slave server now. Prefix dial required to call master server meeting in cascade system. Server prefix number assigned to master server from ver3.2-3 in cascade system. You will need to add prefix number to call master server meeting. Gatekeeper only accept a registration from the user account registered endpoint on multi tenancy system. You can deploy web service on every slave server now. Share Content (H.239) bandwidth allocation has been changed on meeting. Application share maximum bandwidth setting will apply the Share Content (H.239) bandwidth allocation from ver of 14 VN-D

8 Version You can change this configuration to the formar setting by edit vn.conf parameter as below. clotho.mcu.video.h239.priority=1 VNEP mic un-mute problem has been fixed. Required PC performance has been changed on large scale deployment. 2GB RAM required on large scale system. Xeon dual CPU or Xeon dual core CPU at least. 9 Restrictions & Known Problems 2. Restrictions and Known Problems in Version Meeting Server File size of Meeting Server log should not exceed 2GB. When the file size of Meeting Server log exceeds 2GB, the Meeting Server will crash. This is a restriction of Linux file system. The Meeting Server will create a log file every day and usually it will not exceed 2GB. However, if you set the detailed log option then the log may well exceed 2GB. Registration of meetings may take a while. Registration of meetings may take a while when there are many meetings created on Meeting Server just after the vnstart command on Meeting Server. CP4 video position restrictions. When you change the video position on a CP4 meeting, you will need to change the video positions one by one. Restarting the Meeting Server. Stopping and immediately starting the Meeting Server process can cause an incomplete launch of the Meeting Server process. You should wait a couple of minutes before restarting the Meeting Server process. Meeting notification . Meeting notification function does not support SMTPauth and POPbeforeSMTP. Restricted characters for User, Group and Meeting names. The following characters can not be used for User, Group and Meeting registration names on WebAdmin.! \ <> and blank Cascade configuration: VNOnline monitor list p370 In a cascade configuration, VNOnline MonitorCall and MonitorMeeting functions do not accurately show the number of Users in meetings or in calls. Cascade configuration: Manual or Controlled Video Activation. In a cascade configuration, video activation request will not work if the video activation mode is set to MANUAL or CONTROLLED. Cascade configuration: Maximum zone bandwidth In a cascade configuration, the maximum bandwidth of the conference defines the maximum zone of conference in each server and not the entire cascade zone. Cascade configuration: Maximum number of participant s In a cascade configuration, the maximum number of participants in a conference is calculated as the maximum number of participants on each server and not the number in the entire cascade server. However, this will involve a license restriction, if the license is registered for 10 users, maximum participants will not be calculated as 10 X cascaded server part even if it is setup as 10 users. 10 Restrictions & Known Problems If you use Visual Nexus Media Translator with multi tenancy server, you must change gatekeeper configuration Visual Nexus Media Translator needs to set a value of the clotho.gk.registration.policy to 0 on [Server Setting] of [Server] on VNOnline Endpoint VNEP becomes unstable in document sharing If a call is made via IP address then the VNEP may become unstable when document sharing. File registration/download fails VNEP fails to register/download a document for sharing when the file size is large and the network traffic is busy or limited bandwidth is available. Unable to draw over some types of object in document sharing You can not draw over some types of embedded objects in an Office document when document sharing. Document Sharing Synchronisation Issues Using the mouse scroll wheel in document sharing will cause synchronisation problems. Call with H.264 unsupported H.323 endpoint fails. VNEP fails to make a call with H.264 unsupported H.323 endpoint. In case VNEP make a call to H.264 unsupported H.323 endpoint, please check off H.264 video codec on Temporary network setting dialogue of VNEP before a call. If you wish to disable your H.264 codec for all calls, release v3.0-3 provides a check box [Enable H.264] under the [Tools][Configurations] menu of the VNEP. This setting will be saved by the VNEP. Office application configuration may be changed when you use data sharing. Incoming call notification does not show 2byte characters correctly. There is a restriction on the multi-media file that can be sent in Visual Nexus Endpoint In case of Visual Nexus Endpoint, multi-media files are sent through H.323 channel. For the multi-media files, please use the coding and format supported by Windows Media installed on the Windows PC on the receiving side. The video placement will be different on the Visual Nexus Endpoint connected later on Controlled type conference. 10 of 14 VN-D

12 Restrictions & Known Problems Share Content does not support desktop image sharing. When start Share Content, the shared window size will be resized to XGA in the meeting. Share Content function supports only XGA size in the meeting. Call fails when you call the endpoint which does not support H.239 protocol. Visual Nexus Endpoint can enable/disable H.239 so that you can make a call with an endpoint that does not support H.239 protocol. Uncheck [Enable Share Content] of [Tool] menu > [Configuration] menu when you make a call with such endpoint. PowerPoint full screen slide show is not supported in Share Content. You can change PowerPoint setting to share a slide show in Share Content. Visual Nexus Meeting Server SSL connection only encrypts XML/HTTP connection but not presence and document share. Meeting Manager participant list will not change when a chairman changes a microphone status or meeting mode from Control Panel of VNOnline. Please do not share a file including "&" and "%" in the file path name in the document sharing. Document sharing cannot be done with a file including "&" and "%" in the file path name. Moreover, when this file is documenting shared, garbage might remain in the data base. Please do not share files including "&" and "%". Some applications and windows can not be shared on application sharing. There are some applications and windows can not be shared on application sharing due to security issues. - Windows Explorer window and other desktop screen. My Computer, Control Panel, Explorer and etc. - Visual Nexus Meeting Manager s window. Audio control panel can not be opened from Audio tuning screen on Windows Vista. Please open the Audio control panel using Windows Vista operation. 12 of 14 VN-D

13 Restrictions & Known Problems MIC boost value can not be saved by Visual Nexus Meeting Manager on Windows Vista. Please set the MIC boost value prior to launching Visual Nexus Meeting Manager if you need to use MIC boost. Video recording does not work properly when you record multi channel meeting. When you record multi channel meeting and if there are empty channel, the video of late participant will appear from the beginning of the recorded video. The name of install folder must be within 102 characters. You can not install Visual Nexus Endpoint in a folder named with more than 103 characters. H.263 video codec on Visual Nexus Meeting Manager has interoperability issue with Sony PCS-1. Please use H.264 or H.261 video codec for P2P connection to Sony PCS-1. Visual Nexus Meeting Manager will use H.264 codec automatically by default. When you send a text message to All contacts from the user with administrator privilege, your message will be sent to all the user currently log-in to Visual Nexus instead of all your contacts. When you update Visual Nexus Meeting Manager from ver3.2-1, your tool bar icons will be reset to default setting. If you customized the tool bar icons in ver3.2-1, it will be reset to default after update install to ver H.239 content share window will be minimized when launch document sharing at the same time. When you launch document sharing, it will minimize video window and H.239 content share window automatically. Video window size will be resumed when you finish document sharing but H.239 content share window will not be resumed. Please drag the window corner to enlarge the H.239 content share window. Recorded video has audio noise problem when you playback on Windows Vista. VNEP fails to open a excel document by document sharing when the excel document has graph and it has focus. Please move a focus to cell area from graph and save it Secure Transport Secure Transport does not support HTTP Proxy. You must reboot Secure Transport client when your PC s IP address has changed. 13 of 14 VN-D
