2 Feature Descriptions 1. Identity Management Identity management is the task of identifying individuals within an application or system (for example, country of residence or company of employment) and using this knowledge to help control access to resources by allowing or restricting access based on the established identity. SiPass integrated now has a set of advanced tools that make it easy to gather and store details about the identity of the person to whom an access card is being issued, and to share that information with other systems. In light of these enhancements, it can be said that cardholder identity, rather than cards, is now at the core of the architecture of a SiPass integrated system. 1.1 Multiple Card Support SiPass integrated now supports the ability to assign up to 5 cards to an individual. This also includes the ability to have a different card profile for each card assigned to each cardholder. Each card can also be assigned a separate PIN, be placed in a void state, and/or have individual start and stop dates. Supports tenant-style environments Up to 5 cards per cardholder Assign cards of different types Void cards independently to cardholder 1.2 Cardholder License Count Traditionally, SiPass integrated has counted all cardholder and visitor records in the database as active cardholders. Now, only those cardholders or visitors that have been assigned a card will be considered as active and counted toward the actual license limit in terms of cardholders. This means that those sites with visitors and contractors that only attend site periodically and are not usually assigned with a permanent card can be added freely to the SiPass integrated database. Ability to save all records including historical visitors Ability to re-use cardholder information when a visitor revisits Reduces license capacity requirements (or the need to continually expand an installed license) 1.3 Multiple Workgroups SiPass integrated now allows you assign a cardholder to multiple workgroups. For example, if a cardholder is the director of the finance division he or she could be assigned to both the Director and Finance workgroups. Multiple workgroups are useful for anti-passback purposes. It is also easy to drill down using the SiPass integrated Explorer and filter reports based on single or multiple groups. 3 1.4 Advanced Custom Page Designer You can create your own custom cardholder pages by simply dragging and dropping the following tools onto a blank dialog: Buttons Date pickers Text boxes Drop-down lists Attachment holster Other tools (group box, label, etc.) Key Drag and drop configuration Market Parameter setting USP Easy to use and understand Create a look that suits your needs You can even set the finer parameters for each of these settings so that the page behaves exactly as you wish. You can also import or export your pages in XML format, which can be a very useful when managing important identity information. 4 1.5 Advanced Cardholder Search SiPass integrated now provides a superior cardholder search function that ensures you find exactly what you are looking for, regardless of your search criteria. Search across all cardholder information, including custom field data. Select templates on which to base the returned results, so that they appear in a format that is ready to be used. After initial search has been returned, apply additional point and click search criteria filters to narrow the returned results even further. Advanced Interoperability Interoperability in buildings means that systems used to operate and run the building on a day to day basis work together to exchange information and use the information that is exchanged to provide a more effective and efficient building environment. 5 2.1 Improved Video Recorder Integration SiPass integrated MP2.5 includes significant improvements to the functions available with the SISTORE range of video equipment and systems connected via the DVR API. SiPass integrated now supports DVR inputs and outputs as if they were native inputs / outputs. In addition, support has been added for camera preset positions. SiPass integrated also provides advanced support for SISTORE units by providing an auto-discovery mode, playback from triggered recording, and the ability to play back recorded events from reports. SiPass integrated is now able to display live images from any IP camera on the market. When Siemens own range of video surveillance products are used additional functionality is available, including the ability to control the PTZ movement and the ability to record displayed images in response to alarms or other events raised in the SiPass integrated security management system. This allows you to display the feeds from multiple IP based cameras at the same time. The virtual monitor allows you to display the following layout configurations: 1x1, 2x2, 3x3, 5+1 and The Virtual Monitor also allows you to select a camera by simply right-clicking on the monitor square in the window and selecting a new camera image. 6 Screen Capture: SiPass integrated Virtual Monitors 2.4 Salto Offline Door Support SiPass integrated now offers a dedicated Salto interface that makes it possible to manage access at offline doors, a feature typically not available with online security applications. As a leader in Smart Card support SiPass integrated has now enhanced its ability to interface with this technology and now supports HID iclass readers. When an iclass card is presented to SiPass integrated, the CSN or HID iclass ID can be used as the credential number for the purpose of identification. In addition, the HID iclass readers with an LCD display can also be used to display messages back to the user. 7 3. Enhanced Usability Usability in software refers to the ease with which a user can interact with the software application to achieve the desired outcome(s). In other words, a highly usable application is designed with the users in mind and caters for efficiency and the ability to learn easily. SiPass integrated is already considered one of the most useable access control applications available in the market today. SiPass integrated MP2.5 seeks to extend this reputation by enabling system operators and technicians to use the system in an even more efficient and easier-to-understand way. 3.1 ACC Auto Discovery Configuring your advanced central controllers (ACCs) before they are installed on site is now a thing of the past. SiPass integrated offers the time saving and efficient feature of automatically detecting all ACCs configured on the same network. Once discovered, the easy-to-use FLN configurator tool can then be used to download the latest firmware, reset, and view controller details. Please note that this feature requires an updated ACC boot application. More information about the availability of updated ACCs will be provided in the delivery release. 3.2 Customizable Real-time Transaction Logs Traditionally, SiPass integrated has provided a dual pane live audit trail window for viewing all onsite activity. Now, SiPass integrated goes a step further and allows you to create multiple customizable live audit trail windows. To increase functionality, each audit trail view can be specifically tailored to only show the criteria you have selected, while at the same time observing the configured operator privileges to system information. For example, you may select that one window only shows card badges for a selected door or group of doors. In addition, you can print a report directly from the displayed audit trail information, share pre-defined views with other operators, and even sort and provide further filtering on the fly. This type of flexibility ensures that your management of security activities will be as efficient as possible at all times. 8 3.3 Client Only Installation Organizations with clients in multiple and/or remote locations often find it difficult to upgrade. Taking a CD-ROM around to each location running an installation application is very time consuming, not to mention the issues that may arise due to down time. SiPass integrated MP2.5 now allows you to automatically upgrade clients without the need to be physically present. Once the initial installation is complete, the SiPass integrated client monitors the server for new versions of the client application and as soon as it is detected, it downloads and installs the new version automatically, without the need for user intervention. Similar to a physically attached label, the SiPass integrated equipment label enables you to quickly and easily identify installed security equipment and produce reports based upon this label. Perfect for maintenance teams who usually refer to doors and installed equipment by their blueprint names/numbers. 3.5 SiPass Explorer The SiPass Explorer is the new exciting window in SiPass integrated for performing all your security management actions. The SiPass Explorer has been designed to make it as easy and efficient for you to navigate and operate your security management system as possible. This includes an expandable right-hand navigation pane, a current view pane for changing the on-screen display, a main window area which can host multiple dialog boxes at the same time, and intuitive toolbars that allow you to carry out actions quickly with a single click. 9 Screen Capture: SiPass integrated SiPass Explorer 3.6 Custom Toolbar Buttons SiPass integrated now allows you to create your own toolbar buttons. You can simply drag and drop up to 24 custom toolbar buttons to any existing toolbar within SiPass integrated. These buttons allow you to open existing applications via a command line or simply select a file to open (e.g. a Microsoft Word File). You can even choose to display your icon on this button so that it is instantly recognizable. Interactive Reporting Interactive in a software environment refers to the ability of an application to respond to information from another source i.e. another application or data that has been generated or imported and perform an action that changes operation based on this. SiPass integrated now provides a brand new way of reporting and controlling your security management system which we call Interactive Reporting. This means that you generate a report and compare the information in that report against criteria you select and perform an action on those things that meet your criteria. 10 4.1 Unused Card Reporting Cards that have not been used for a long period of time within a secure environment pose a risk to the possibility of unauthorized access. SiPass integrated now allows you to manually or automatically provide a report listing those cards that have not been used for a configurable period of time (for example, within the last month). Once the report has been compiled SiPass integrated can automatically void those cards or allow you to manually choose which cards are to be void or not directly from the report itself. Automatic or manual report initiation Void cards directly from the displayed report by simply right clicking and choosing to void the card or the cardholder (includes all cards allocated to the cardholder) Set the system to automatically void cards which are returned in the report so that manual intervention is not required 4.2 Watch Lists SiPass integrated now supports the integration of watch lists. Regardless of where the lists originate or whether there are multiple lists from different sources, SiPass integrated is able to support them all. What Does This Mean? Supporting watch lists basically means that you import the data from the supplied list into SiPass integrated, match the information from the list to a SiPass integrated field (e.g. surname to last name ) and allow SiPass integrated to monitor your data entry. If you enroll a cardholder that has any matching criteria to the watch list an instant warning will be displayed on screen to inform you that a suspect identity may be being enrolled in the system. Import any list from an external source Match data from any list against fields in SiPass integrated Automatically warn the operator of a breach in the system when data entered into the cardholder screen matches information supplied on a watch list 4.3 Right-Click Reporting Functions SiPass integrated reporting now takes you a step further with the ability to interact with a report to perform instant actions. This means you can right click on any record in a report (as long as the report information is relevant) and perform the following actions directly from that report: View the cardholder account and if required make changes Playback a recorded DVR image View the point details and if required make changes Advanced actions such as voiding a card, etc. Right-click functionality available directly from a report Ability to perform right-click functions on historical data as well PLN no: A_10_010EX Page 10 of 14

11 4.4 T&A Hour Counting SiPass integrated now extends its T&A recording function by allowing you to configure a T&A area (entry and exit readers) and produce a report that automatically counts the number of hours a cardholder spent in that location. Of course SiPass integrated allows you to set the parameters associated with this including the date range, ability to handle records that only have an entry or exit within the defined period, and others. This allows you to easily create a report for any third-party application requiring such data. Generate a report that calculates the hours a cardholder spent within a specified area Set the report parameters to match your needs Export the report to use the data within a third-party system 4.5 User-Definable Interactive Reports SiPass integrated goes beyond the normal reporting scenarios to provide interactive reports based on criteria critical to the location. It is important to note that information from any internal report or any imported report or list can be used to create an interactive report and execute a system event. For example, for a site with dangerous chemicals for which exposure time is critical, using the T&A Hours Calculation report above, we could create a report that calculated the hours for every cardholder that was in the specific area in the last 7 days (this report could be generated automatically). We could then use that report to check if any single cardholder had been present in an area for longer than 30 hours (again automatically) and then depending upon how we wanted to handle the results, we could raise an on-screen warning or simply void the card or cardholder so they could not re-enter the area and over-expose themselves to the dangerous chemical. 12 5.1 Support for GSM Modems Communication methods are quickly becoming more advanced and allow us to more easily stay in touch. The same can also be said to raising an alert when things go wrong; by allowing your security management system to contact responsible staff via mobile phone during an emergency, you can provide a higher level of security and safety. SiPass integrated now provides support for GSM modems connected directly to the server. This means that when an alarm occurs on site an SMS message can be sent to those responsible for the area in which the alarm has been raised. Consider the scenario after hours, where SiPass integrated is connected to other building management systems and the PC server room reaches a critically high temperature. The temperature sensing application raises an alert which is communicated to SiPass integrated as an alarm, which in turn sends an SMS message to the senior members of the IT department that an on-site failure may have occurred. This allows them to rectify the situation in a prompt and timely manner. General Improvements SiPass integrated MP2.5 also provides a number of smaller and more subtle improvements that make the operation and usability of the system more enjoyable and flexible than ever before. Some of these smaller improvements include: More flexible and consistent reporting Additional manual override commands Additional event task routines (sources and triggers) Improved backup and restore mechanism Cardholder search by simply pressing enter External FLN configuration tool Ability to create events tasks based upon workgroup activity And many other minor enhancements 7. Upgrades SiPass integrated has become a mature software application that is widely considered one of the premier access control and security applications globally. Each new version of the software ensures that customers can take advantage of the latest security functions and compatibility with the latest IT tools and technologies. To reflect our position in the market, SiPass integrated now offers existing customers a competitive upgrade option from one version of the software to the next. This option makes it possible for them to reap the benefits of the new and enhanced features in the software at a much lower cost of overall ownership in comparison to purchasing the new software at full price. The software upgrade policy is as follows: SiPass integrated MP2.4 is the base-line. Upgrades to MP2.4 can still be completed without cost.
