Cloud Management Console (CMC) Accessing the CMC During your initial setup session, Redstor will provide you with access to the Cloud Management Console. The CMC can be accessed in two ways; via a web browser or via a locally installed console. The Browser-Based CMC is accessed by going to: The Local Installation of the CMC can be downloaded from: > Redstor Online Backup Plus > Downloads > Installers Logging In During your initial setup session, Redstor will provide you with three pieces of information required to access the CMC. These are your Partner Name, your Username, and your Password (all case sensitive). If you are using the Browser-Based CMC, you will be prompted for credentials on the homepage. If you are using the Local Installation of the CMC, please go to: Actions > Connect > New login

Cloud Management Console (CMC) Users and Access Control If you wish to allow additional users to access the CMC, you are able to create login credentials for each user and control permissions as per the table below: Reporter Supporter Operator Manager Admin SuperUser View Sessions View Audit View Device Info Export Data (csv) Remote Commands View Products Reset Passwords Add Users Add Device Modify Device Delete Device Create Partners Create Products Templates Cloud Management Console (CMC) Navigating the CMC Backup devices can be sorted into different groups to aid management and ease of reporting. These groups are called Partners and can catagorised as below: Redstor Sub-Distributor Reseller End Customer Device If you are using the Browser-Based CMC, you can navigate through your partner structure by clicking on your Partner name which is underneath the Devices header and selecting the Partner you require from the dropdown menu. If you are using the Browser-Based CMC, go to: Manage Users ( ) > Add user If you are using the Local Installation of the CMC, you can navigate through your partner structure by using the Partner window on the left-hand side of the screen as shown below: If you are using the Local Installation of the CMC, please go to: Partners > Users > Add user

Cloud Management Console (CMC) Viewing and Creating Products Before you can create a backup device name, you will need to ensure that there is a Product available that matches your backup requirements. Products control which applications can be protected, the retention per application, and which features are available. If you are using the Browser-Based CMC, you can view your existing products at: Manage products ( ) Clicking Add products allows you to create your own based off an existing product or start from scratch Cloud Management Console (CMC) Adding a Device Device Credentials must be created within the CMC before you can backup a device to the Redstor Online Backup Plus platform. These credentials are then used during installation. If you are using the Browser-Based CMC, you can create a device by clicking Backup computer at the top of your screen. Choose a device name, a partner to put the device into, and a product, then click Download Backup Manager to retrieve your password. On the next screen, DO NOT click the download button in Step 1. as this will not be the correct version. We are looking to rectify this in Please download the agent from our kb.redstor.com site instead. If you are using the Local Installation of the CMC, you can view and add products by going to one of the below locations (permissions dependant): Manage > Manage products Manage > Manage products > Add product Manage > View products If you are using the Local Installation of the CMC, you can create a device by clicking the Add device button ( ) at the top of your screen. Choose a device name and a product (ignore all other fields) then click Next to retrieve your password. On the next screen, DO NOT click the download latest software as this will not be the correct version. Cloud Management Console (CMC) Modifying a Device After creating Device Credentials, you can change the product and the partner name but you are unable to change the device name or the password. If you are using the Browser-Based CMC, you can modify a device by clicking the device name of the device you wish to modify and going to the Modification tab. You can delete a device by clicking the device name of the device you wish to delete and then clicking Delete device in the top right corner. Quick Start Guide 2.2. Redstor Online Backup Plus Client Downloading the Latest Backup Client The latest Redstor Online Backup Plus Clients can be downloaded from: > Redstor Online Backup Plus > Downloads > Installers Installation of the Client For Windows, run the.exe installer and installation will start automatically. For Mac OS X, secondary click the.pkg file and select to open the file. Once installed, the software should open your default web browser to :5000. If this browser is unsupported, go to from a supported local browser, or go to from a different machine with a supported browser. For installation on Linux, see kb.redstor.com Connecting your Client If you are using the Local Installation of the CMC, you can modify a device by right clicking the device name of the device that you wish to modify and go to Modify device... You can delete a device by right clicking the device name of the device that you wish to delete and go to Delete device... Choose your language setting from the dropdown menu and then click Next. Enter the unique Device Name and Password from the CMC that you created for this device, or that was provided to you by Redstor. The client will now download it s backup register from our platform. If you are reconnecting to a previously used device, this could take a while Security Codes Choose your encryption method from the dropdown list and choose a security code to encrypt your data. The security code can be any word or sentence (50 character limit). Using this code, you can encrypt your files with a strong encryption algorithm, therefore keeping your private data secured and protected from unauthorised access, including Redstor. Keep this security code safe as it cannot be recovered and without it, data cannot recovered if you need to re-install the software, for example in a disaster recovery situation

7 2.2. Redstor Online Backup Plus Client 2.2. Redstor Online Backup Plus Client Basic Configuration Schedule your backup - Choose a simple backup schedule to use for automating your backups. This can be changed at a more granular level once the installation has completed. Report via - Enter your address and the frequency that you wish to receive dashboard reports from the dropdown menu. Please separate multiple addresses with just a semi-colon, no spaces Backup Selection Once the backup client has finished the initial setup wizard, go to the Backup Tab. From here, you will see all of your available applications and files that you can backup. Click Add (or Edit) by a datasource (such as Files and Folders) to open a window where you can choose exactly what you wish to protect by expanding the folders and ticking the boxes next to what you wish to protect and unticking the boxes by the data that you do not wish to protect. Please see the Redstor Online Backup Plus User Guide for full details on protecting specfic applications Advanced Configuration Go to the Preferences tab to check additional configuration options before running your first backup. Schedule - Click a schedule to edit or press Add to add a new one. Specify the time, day, and backup sources you wish to protect during that session. Proxy - Proxy server setting configuration page Performance - Bandwidth limits can be set between certain hours, up and down. You can also set the client to abort backups during this time range for specific data sets LocalSpeedVault - If required, here you specify where to save a local copy of the backup. You can also give credentials if required for this location. Backup Filters - Here you can set which files or folders you want to exclude from your backup by path, name or extension. Seeding - Enter the local or unc path to where you wish to send your first backup to. This will put the client into seeding mode and you will need to click Run seeding on the Backup tab in order for the seed backup to run. No scheduled backups will run until you have pressed Complete seeding on the Backup tab after the seed has finished
