7 A1-1. Steps for installation How to install Mold EX-Press for Press Die For Mold EX-Press users with Ver.2 or privious Before installation For new Mold EX-Press users Install the basic program Connect to your CAD system Please see the attached sheet for details. 06

Preparation before installation Preparation before installation 1) Log in with administrator authority. 2) Microsoft Excel 2003 or higher should be installed beforehand. 3) Uninstall the previous version of Mold EX-Press. 4) In case of Mold EX-Press with Ver.2 x or previous virsion,uninatall the older version. 5) Change setting : Control Panel>User Account>Change Setting of User Account, then Change UAC by clicking Not to inform lowest colomn) and restart PC. 6) At the time of installation, Confirm your PC if HDD capacity is acceptable for receiving memories of Mold EX-Press. UAC Setting 1 Click start button and 2 Open User Account. 3 Select User Account 4 open Control panel. Chenge. Set the lowest colomn Not to inform and Click OK. 07 [Key point] then Change UAC by clicking Not to inform lowest colomn)and restart PC.

9 A1-3. How to uninstall via Start menu Two methods are available for uninstallation; via Control Panel and via Start program. Click Start button and open 1 3 the folder of MISUMI where Mold EX-Press program is located. Lastly select Uninstall for basic program. 2 Select Uninstall program for CAD one by one. 4 Uninstallation via Control Panel is also available. Select Mold EX-Press and run Uninstall. [Key point] At the time of uninstall from Control Panel, please uninstall Basic Program after CAD related program AC CA SW NX 08

18 A2. Changing layer setting for each of part body and subtraction body (for NX Multi-body mode only) In case installation stopped,you need to delete Environment Variables in following steps. This operation is not available for Windows XP. 1 Open the interface Click right mouse button Open Property option Click Advanced system settings Select tab of Advanced, open Environment Variables 2 Delete the User and the System variables 3 Restart installation from the beginning 17

20 A3. Shortcut to Mold EX-Press is not created in your NX tool bar Once Mold EX-Press is installed successfully shortcut is created automatically in the tool bar of NX. However if other add-in softwares (ex; ET2008) are installed ahead the new shortcut may sometimes not appear. The following method is to allow the softwares in compatible use. 1 Copy the current value of Misumi_Path_GPL Zrom Enviroment Variables in Advanced System Properties. C:\Program Files\MISUMI\ MEX_P_G 3 Paste the current path of Mold EX-press (taken in 2) to the very bottom line. Save and exit. 2 Go to NX folder menus, and find custom_dirs.dat file, then open the text format. Pass: ugii menus custom_dirs.dat) 4 When you will open NX, you will find short cut of Mold EX-Press as per following. [Key point] In case of NX9.0 or upper version, you will find default in the tool bar Menu, as per right figure. 19 NX

21 A4. Shortcut to Mold EX-Press is not created in your SolidWorks tool bar Once Mold EX-Press is installed successfully shortcut is created automatically in the tool bar of SolidWorks. However if it does not appear please try the following solution. 1 Open Options of SolidWorks tool bar and select [Add-Ins]. 3 Shortcut of Mold EX-Press is created in the toolbar. 2 Check MEX(Press) then click "OK". [Key point] Name of Add-In program MEX(Mold): Mold EX-Press for Plastic Mold MEX(Press): Mold EX-Press for Press Die Both softwares can be installed on a PC and go together so that two MEX names appear as shown in right. 22 A5. After complete the install, you may not use Mold EX-Press in CATIA Exe file may not be created. You can install exe file again in following operations when you failed to use Mold EX-Press in CATIA after initial installation. 1 Click Start button, open Accessory and select Command prompt, then click the right mouse button and logon as an administrator. 3 By using same folder to install Mold EX-Press, please find msmgplcatiafuns.exe and click the right mouse button and logon as an administrator. 2 In Command prompt ] login msmgplcatiafuns.exe msmgplattrltemreader.exe Example File source record msmgplcatiafuns.exe /regserver. 4 When you will open CATIA, shortcut bar for Mold EX-Press will be created. [Key point] Exe filre is at CatiaMSM folder. Check [CatiaMSM] and confirm the pass. 21 CA

23 A6. Mold EX-Press is unresponsive in AutoCAD After the installation is complete, the menu as well as the tool bar will appear. If there is no response after clicking them, just proceed with the next methods. After first manual loading, they will appear automatically. 3 Select "MsmController_GPL.arx" program in [Add File to Startup Suite] pop-up. This path will be the installation directory of Mold EX-Press. 1 Open [Tool] of AutoCAD tool bar and select [Load application] so that a new window opens as shown in the right. Click [Contents] in Startup Suite. 4 Click [Add], MsmController_GPL.arx will appear in [Startup Suite] as seen in the image shown in the right. 2 Click [Add] in Startup Suite. The [List of applications] interface will appear. 5 Then click [Close] to finish the step. AC 22
