No : 006/2012 All NSE Members Sub: Mock Trading on Saturday, January 28, 2012 in Capital Market Segment New NEAT version and NEATPro version The Exchange will be conducting a mock trading session in the Capital Market segment on Saturday, January 28, 2012 to test additional functionalities on trading system as per following schedule. 2 ANNEXURE 1 Important Instruction for pre and post installation of the new version Trades resulting from the mock trading session shall not attract any obligation in terms of funds and / or securities pay-in and pay-out. Members are also requested not to transfer any data files for this mock trading session. The successful / unsuccessful outcome of the mock trading session shall be intimated to members through a message broadcast as per above schedule. Members using NEAT, NEATPro and CTCL facility (using their CTCL software) are advised to participate actively in the mock trading session and are required to re-login into live environment during the above mentioned timings to check the connectivity and also to avoid login problems on Monday, January 30, Members using NEAT and NEATPro are cautioned to note that upon successful completion of mock trading, NEAT CM version and NEATPro version will be implemented in live environment with effect from Monday, January 30, 2012 and therefore without the installation of the new versions, they will not be able to trade on Monday, January 30, In case of technical queries, members are advised to contact helpdesk no: Regd. 3 ANNEXURE 2 New functionalities in the trading system NEAT 1. Unlock request by corporate manager Currently for unlocking any user id a fax request is sent to the Exchange. Now a new facility is provided to the corporate manager to send unlocking request to the exchange through the NEAT trading system for branch manager and dealer This facility can be invoked through Supplementary menu -> Unlock user When the user invokes unlock user window, below information is displayed Corporate Manager has to select user id, reason for unlocking and send the request to the Exchange. Corporate manager will get Unlock request approved or rejected message when the unlock request is approved or rejected by the exchange. The corporate manager cannot place unlocking requests for user ids which are already logged in to the system or surrender user ids. Regd. 4 2. Restriction of order entry for debarred client Currently, on NEAT system Debarred Client Master Maintenance facility is available to restrict order for specific client. This facility is available at specific terminal level only. An additional facility, Restricted Client Master is provided to the corporate manager to maintain debarred clients at the trading member level. This facility can be invoked through Supplementary menu-> Restricted client master The user is provided option to add, modify, save or delete restricted clients. Market inquiry window - Display of 52 week high and low date in Market Inquiry window In addition to the 52 week high price and 52 week low price available in the market inquiry (F11) window additional information of date on which 52 week high price touch and date on which 52 low price touch is also being provided. Following is the screenshot of the display provided. 4. Client master maintenance Client master sorting and filtering A facility is provided to sort the lists in client master according to the user selection where user can select sorting according to the account number, client name, participant ID, PAN number. 5. Debarred client master Debarred client master sorting and filtering A facility is provided to sort the lists in debarred client master according to the user selection where user can select sorting according to the account number, client name, participant ID, PAN number. 6 6. Previous trades window - Display of dealer id and sorting facility A facility is provided in the previous trades (F8) window to search the trade by entering the trade number. Also Sort based on filter is provided to sort facility is provided based on trade number. If DSC is selected in the field, the sorting is done based on Trade number in descending order. If ASC is selected in the field, the sorting is done based on Trade number in ascending order. If ORG is selected in the field, the sorting is done based on Last Modified time in Descending order Also facility is provided to display dealer id in the previous trades window. 7. UP/DOWN arrow change for increasing/decreasing the quantity in TWS In order entry, member can increase or decrease the quantity in multiple of board lot size in order entry, order modification, advanced offline order entry, TWAP and VWAP instruction entry screen by using the UP/DOWN arrow key. 7 NEATPro 1. Unlock request by corporate manager Currently for unlocking any user id a fax request is sent to the Exchange. Now a new facility is provided to the corporate manager to send unlocking request to the exchange through the NEATPro trading system for branch manager and dealer This facility can be invoked through Dialogs-> Unlock user or through Ctrl+Shift+U shortcut key When the user invokes unlock user window, below information is displayed Corporate Manager has to select user id, reason for unlocking and send the request to the Exchange. Corporate manager will get Unlock request approved or rejected message when the unlock request is approved or rejected by the exchange. The corporate manager cannot place unlocking requests for user ids which are already logged in to the system or surrender user ids. 2. 11 ANNEXURE 3 Installation procedure for NEAT CM (Version ) & NEAT Pro (Version 1.0.2) NEAT (Version ) Precautions: Members are advised to install the new version only after end of live trading hours and after all end of day activities have been completed on Friday, January 27, Members are advised to take back up of all report files before upgrading the software. Members are advised to take back up of client master through client master maintenance. Members are advised to take back up of debarred client master through debarred client master maintenance. Members who wish to retain their existing market watch screen are advised to take backup of the files 'mw****.dat (**** = userid). This file can be found at '\NTNSECM\BACKUP' directory on the log drive. Members who wish to retain their existing set charges for Net Position are advised to take backup of the files 'BakSetCharges****.dat (**** = userid). This file can be found at '\NTNSECM\BACKUP' directory on the log drive. Members are advised to use cmneattdr.bat for installing the new NEAT exe. Installation: Installation files shall be available after 17:00 hrs on Friday, January 27, Installation files can be taken from path /common/neat918 on NSE EXTRANET or internet ftp:// Download the files NTRELTDR & cmneattdr.bat into (C :\) in your local hard disk Go to MSDOS prompt Execute command - cd C:\ Type cmneattdr.bat and press "enter" Set up the NEATCM icon on the Desk top and click on the icon. Updating the new version with latest data: Download following files from NSE EXTRANET path /common/ntneat onto (C :\) in your local hard disk: 1. participant.gz 2. security.gz 3. contract.gz 4. FreeFloat.txt Unzip the above files From the log on screen click on the LOAD DB button to update the security and participant details. Regd. 12 NEAT Pro Version Precautions: Members are advised to install the new version only after end of live trading hours and after all end of day activities have been completed on Friday, January 27, Members are advised to take back up of all report files before upgrading the software. Members are advised to take back up of client master through client master maintenance. Members are advised to take back up of debarred client master through debarred client master maintenance Members are advised to take back up of Market watch through export functionality. Members are advised to place their backed up data in a location other than NEATProDB- TWS and NEATProData-TWS folders. Installation: Installation files shall be available after 17:00 hrs on Friday, January 27, Installation files can be downloaded from NSE EXTRANET path (/common/neatpro102) Download the setup file NEATProTWSSetup.exe to your hard disc in the root directory (i.e. C:\ or D:\ or E:\). Go to the drive where NEATProTWSSetup.exe is copied. Double click on the NEATProTWSSetup.exe. The files will be extracted with the window pop up NEATPro TWS Installer extracting files. It will be followed by NEATPro Installer pop up window. Installation drive (where application will be installed) will be C: by default. If NEATPro is previously installed on the system, the new version should also be installed on the same drive as that of the previously installed version. Click on Install button on this pop up window and follow the installation instructions. Message of successful installation will be displayed once the complete application is installed. The user can run NEATPro TWS application by double clicking on either of the following: a) NEATPro TWS shortcut icon created on the desktop. b) NEATPro TWS entry in the Programs sub-menu of the Start menu. c) NEATPRO.exe located in the NeatProDB-TWS directory in the installation drive. Updating the new version with latest data: Download following files from NSE EXTRANET path /common/ntneat onto (log on drive) in your local hard disk: 1. contract.gz 2. participant.gz 3. security.gz 4. fo_participant.gz 5. Freefloat.txt Unzip the above files From the log on screen click on the UPLOAD button to update the contract, security and participant details. Regd. 13 ANNEXURE 4 Precautions and procedure for reverting to earlier version These instructions are required to be followed to ensure that members are able to revert back to old version of NEAT CM & NEAT Pro and trade efficiently from Monday, January 30, 2012 in an unfortunate event of the mock being declared unsuccessful. Steps to be followed for reverting to old version of NEAT CM: Installation files for old version can be taken from path (/common/neat917) on NSE EXTRANET or internet ftp:// Download the files cmneattdr.bat & ntreltdr into (C :\) in your local hard disk, if prompted, choose to overwrite the existing files Rename the existing NTNSECM directory Go to MSDOS prompt Execute command: cd C:\ Type: cmneattdr.bat and press "enter" Set up the NEATCM icon on the Desk top and click on the icon. Place the old mw****.dat (****=user id) file in C:\NTNSECM\BACKUP directory. Place the old BakSetCharges****.dat (****=user id) file in C:\NTNSECM\BACKUP directory Download the latest security.gz, participant.gz, FreeFloat.txt and contract.gz file from NSE EXTRANET path /common/ntneat and unzip it on your log on drive (this step is very important to ensure trading on Monday, January 30, 2012) From the log on screen click the LOAD DB button to update the security and participant details. Steps to be followed for reverting to old version of NEATPro: Download the setup file for old version NEATProTWSSetup.exe from NSE EXTRANET path /common/neatpro101 to your local hard disk drive (C:\). If prompted, choose to overwrite the existing file. Double click on NEATProTWSSetup.exe to run the installer. Select the same drive from which the earlier version was un-installed. Click on Install button on this pop up window and follow the installation instructions. Download and unzip the fresh contract.gz, spd_contract.gz, fo_participant.gz, and security.gz file from NSE EXTRANET path /faoftp/faocommon and upload them on your log on drive (this step is very important to ensure trading on Monday, January 30, 2012) Restore the backup of Market Watch, Client Master and Debarred Client Master.
