4 1 Overview 1.1 OBJECTIVE This document defines software changes and additions to the Enabler IIIG products since SW release 1.1.2, PKG 47. See below for SW release by product. All problems fixed and AT command changes apply to the following products, unless specifically noted: GSM0306 (SW012) (SH010) (FH001 FOTA) GSM0308 (SW012) (SH010) (FH001 FOTA) GSM0326 (SW002) (SH002) (FH001 FOTA) GSM0408 (SW007) (FH001 FOTA) GSM0426 (SW002) (SH002) (FH001 FOTA) GSM0128 (SW005) (SH005) GSM1308 (SW009) (SAP07) GSM1318 (SW009) (FAP01) 1.2 SCOPE This document lists the problems fixed, new features and improvements, and AT command changes made in this firmware version. 5 2 Enabler IIIG Firmware Upgrade 2.1 PROBLEMS FIXED Fixed issue with roaming network selection when multiple networks are available Corrected problem with data buffering in UDP mode. Fixed issue with DCD not dropping when APN provisioning removed (GSM1308 only). Corrected a problem where the %MEPD command sometimes would not show all NW codes. Corrected deep sleep problem on GSM0128. Resolved SIM Tool Kit issue where some SIM cards did not refresh after IMSI change. Fixed issue with SIM Tool Kit display text not working correctly. AT$RESET over SMS no longer causes multiple resets. AT&V now correctly displays all parameters for APIOPT. Corrected problem where multiple AT+CMUT=1 commands would stick the microphone in the muted state. Corrected an issue where extraneous line feed characters from terminal programs could cause commands to be aborted. Resolved a problem that could cause resets during circuit switched calls at high data rates. Corrected problem where RTC time could be left out of UDP reports. Corrected problem where ADC input event would not always trigger. Corrected a problem where the power up event was not always triggered correctly. Resolved an issue where some modems had difficulty reregistering on a network after passing through a dead zone. Modems no longer send extraneous error messages when the SIM card memory is full. Corrected problem with registration when manually selecting operator by Operator long name (AT+COPS+1,0,xxxxx) Corrected issue where RTC alarm event would not trigger after a reset. Resolved issue that could prevent specific SIM cards from registering on the network at specific locations. Resolved problem where modem would not go into deep sleep after noise occurred on the transmission line. Corrected issue where output pin could change state during an unexpected reset (GSM1308 only). Added AT$AREG=3 functionality for specific timing on PDP activation requests. Added ability to route all incoming data to serial port in UDP mode. 7 2.3 AT COMMAND CHANGES The following AT commands were added or modified: AT$RTCWAKE command removed from the following products (GSM1308). Added an additional parameter to AT$MSGSND which allows sending data via the USB port (GSM0308, GSM0408, GSM0326, GSM0426 only). Added new command AT$PADUOV to optionally allow any UDP PAD server to send data to the modem. Added new command AT$NETLIST to provide additional information about networks detected by the modem (GSM0308, GSM0408 only). Added parameter to AT$FTPCFG used to define the read buffer size used for AT$FTPGET. Added AT$MICESC command to allow configuring the microphone echo suppressor. Added new command AT$SIMCFG to enable/disable SIM speed enhancement. Added additional functionality to AT$FFS command. Quotation marks are now optional when entering AT+CPIN, AT+CLCK, and AT+CPWD.
