These devices may include: personal laptops, tablets, netbooks, and mobile devices. This job aid provides procedures to connect to UH applications for MAC devices (MacBook, Mac Desktop, ipad, and iphone ), Android phones, or devices using Microsoft Windows. Overview of the Secure MyApps Environment MyApps provides a secure, web-based environment to connect to UH applications using devices that are not UHowned assets. Per UH policy IS-15, UH Network and Systems Access, MyApps is the only method permitted for accessing UH applications from non-uh devices. MyApps will allow you to connect to: Commonly used UH applications, including UHCare and PACS The UH Intranet Oracle UH Web mail Your S: drive and P: drive on the UH network Microsoft Office Obtaining Access to the Secure MyApps Environment New UH Employees: Access to MyApps is granted automatically to all new UH employees. Existing UH Employees: Contact the UH Service Desk (216-844-3327) to request access to MyApps. Note An esecurity Access Request form is not required to receive access to MyApps. 2 Job Aid IT Training and Development, MSC

Process for Affiliated Physicians Affiliated physicians need to have a UH sponsor to receive access to the secure MyApps environment. The UH sponsor should be at a Manager-level (Tier 3) or above. An esecurity Access Request form is required to obtain access to MyApps for affiliated physicians. Request access to the MyApps application from your UH sponsor. Your UH sponsor will navigate to: UH Intranet > Policies & Forms > Forms > esecurity Access Request Form. The UH esecurity Access Request window displays. Your UH sponsor will click the Make a request for one of my employees or contractors link and fill out and submit the form that displays. After the form is submitted, the appropriate IT personnel will send you an e-mail message including a verification of your MyApps access. Once you receive access, you can complete the remainder of these instructions in this Job Aid. Connecting to the Internet while at a UH Facility Connecting to the UH Guest Network While working at a UH facility with your non-uh device, you can connect to the Internet through UH s wireless Guest Network. The Guest Network will provide access to the: Internet UH Intranet Applications you can access through the UH_Guest network (UH Web mail, Oracle) Note For additional information about wirelessly connecting to the Internet from your non- UH device, refer to the support material provided by your manufacturer for the exact model and product you purchased. Microsoft Windows Navigate to your device s Wireless Network Connection options. IT Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 3

Windows 7: Click on the internet access icon in the system tray. Windows Vista: Select Connect To from the Start Menu, or right-click on the internet access icon in the system tray and select Connect to a network. Windows XP: Click on the Wireless networks detected popup in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen, or right-click on the computer monitor icon in the system tray and select View Available Wireless Networks. Select the UH Guest Network by clicking the link. The Log In window displays. Click the Accept button Open your Internet browser to verify the connection. In the Web Address bar, type http://intranet.uhhospitals.org/ to connect to the UH Intranet. 4 Job Aid IT Training and Development, MSC

MAC: MacBook or Mac Desktop Click the AirPort icon to open the AirPort menu. Select the UH_Guest Network from the list of Network Names by clicking it. The Log In window displays. Click the Accept button Open your Internet browser to verify the connection. In the Web Address bar, type http://intranet.uhhospitals.org/ to connect to the UH Intranet. MAC: ipad Click the Settings icon to access the Wi-Fi setting. The Settings window displays. Click the Wi-Fi icon. Below Choose a Network... select UH_Guest. The Log In window displays. Click the Accept button Open your Internet browser to verify the connection. In the Web Address bar, type http://intranet.uhhospitals.org/ to connect to the UH Intranet. 6 Job Aid IT Training and Development, MSC

Connecting to MyApps from Non-UH Devices This section describes the process to connect to MyApps from Microsoft, Macintosh, and Android non-uh devices. Set up and access to the MyApps secure environment on personal devices is only possible from outside the UH firewall. Microsoft Windows Remotely Accessing UH Applications using MyApps Navigate to the MyApps website: http://myapps.uhhospitals.org. The MyApps Welcome/Log on screen displays.. In the User name field, type your UH Network ID. In the Password field, type your UH Network Password. Tip The UH Network ID and Password is what you use to check your UH e-mail. Click the Log On button. If you do not have the Citrix Online Plug-in (Citrix Online Receiver) installed, a Download Client screen displays. IT Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 7

Select the I agree with the Citrix license agreement checkbox. Click the Install button to download the Citrix Receiver. This plug-in enables connection to the MyApps environment. Tip A link to install the Citrix Online Plug-in (Citrix Online Receiver) for Windows is available from the MyApps Information subpage of the University Hospitals website. Click the following link or type the following URL in your Internet browser http://www.uhhospitals.org/myapps to navigate to the MyApps Information page. 8 Job Aid IT Training and Development, MSC

When prompted, click Run. If the following Warning message displays, click OK. The Citrix Receiver Installer displays. Click the Start button. IT Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 9

The License Agreement displays. Select the I accept the license agreement checkbox. Click the Next button. The Enable Single Sign On window displays. Note Do not select Enable Single Sign-On. Selecting this may cause network credentials and application(s) to lock your access from invalid login attempts. Select Install to continue. 10 Job Aid IT Training and Development, MSC

The Installation Successful window displays. Click the Finish button. It is not necessary to Add Account on this screen. Make sure to click the Finish button. The MyApps Applications page displays, showing the applications to which you have access. Note If an icon for an existing app is missing, please contact the UH Service Desk at 216-844-3327. Tip The Applications page takes time to completely load after it displays. Wait 20 seconds before you double-click an application icon. Click an application icon. The application opens. If you have any issues opening applications from the MyApps secure environment, see Troubleshooting Tips for Microsoft Windows Devices on page 52 of this job aid. Note When a new version of the software is available, you will be prompted to upgrade the software. To upgrade the software, click the Citrix license agreement checkbox and click the Install button. To continue to the MyApps Applications page without starting the upgrade, click the Upgrade Later link. 12 Job Aid IT Training and Development, MSC

MAC: MacBook or Mac Desktop Depending on the type and version of your Mac device, the screens you see on your device when completing this procedure may appear differently than the ones shown in this job aid. Set up and access to the MyApps secure environment on personal devices is only possible from outside the UH firewall. Navigate to the citrix.com website and select Citrix Receiver from the downloads menu. Tip Navigate to http://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-receiver/mac/receiver-for-mac-12.html or copy and paste this link into your browser. Otherwise, if you perform the search on the Citrix website, it may show a list of options, but you will be able to find the most recent version of the Citrix Receiver download for Mac. The Citrix Receiver download displays. Click the Download Receiver for Mac button. A Thank you for downloading Citrix Receiver message displays. From the Downloads file, select the CitrixReceiverWeb.dmg file by double clicking. IT Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 13

The Citrix Receiver installation window displays. Click Install Citrix Receiver. A warning message displays Click the Continue button. The Install Citrix Receiver window displays. Click the Continue button. 14 Job Aid IT Training and Development, MSC

The Software License Agreement window displays. Click the Agree button. The Installation Type window displays. Click the Install button. The Password request window displays. Enter your Username, Password and click the Install Software button. Note The Username and Password entered here is your administrator Username and Password used when you install any new software on your non-uh device. IT Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 15

The Add Account window displays. Check the Add Box and click the Continue button. The installation confirmation window displays. Click the Close button. 16 Job Aid IT Training and Development, MSC

MacBook or Mac Desktop - Set Up Citrix Receiver to Open MyApps Environment Navigate to the Citrix Receiver icon and launch the application by double clicking. The Add Account prompt displays. Enter myapps.uhhospitals.org and click the Add button. The Log On window displays. In the Domain\User and Password fields, enter your Domain\User name and Password and click the Log On button. Tip The Domain is UHHS and the User is your UH username and the Password is your UH password. For example: DSmithx1\UHHS. Be sure to use a backslash. A forward slash will not allow you to log on. MacBook or Mac Desktop Log In to the MyApps Environment Navigate to the Citrix Receiver icon and launch the application by double clicking. The Log On window displays. In the Domain\User and Password fields, enter your Domain\User name and Password and click the Log On button. Tip The Domain is UHHS and the User is your UH username and the Password is your UH password. For example: UHHS\DSmithx1. Be sure to use a backslash. MacBook or Mac Desktop - Access UH Applications From the Citrix Receiver desktop, click the Add (+) button to expand the menu bar. The Menu Bar displays. Click All Applications to view the list of available applications. The Sub-Menu Bar displays. Select the applications you would like to appear on your MyApps Desktop by clicking them. The applications selected display on the Citrix Receiver desktop. Access an application by double clicking the application icon. Note Additional application icons may be added to the desktop at any time. Also, unused application icons may be removed by right-clicking the icon and selecting Remove. Icons may be added and removed an unlimited amount of times. 20 Job Aid IT Training and Development, MSC

MAC: ipad (v. 9.0 (13A344)) Depending on the type and version of your ipad, the screens you see on your device when completing this procedure may appear differently than the ones shown in this job aid. To connect to the MyApps secure environment, you will need to install an App on your ipad. This job aid assumes you are familiar with the process to open the Apps Store from your ipad. Set up and access to the MyApps secure environment on personal devices is only possible from outside the UH firewall. MAC ipad - Installing the Citrix Receiver App You will need to install the Citrix Receiver App for ipad to connect to the secure MyApps environment on your ipad. Tap the App Store icon to open the App Store. Type Citrix in the Search Field. Citrix applications display including the Citrix Receiver for ipad application. Tap on the Get button to select the Citrix Receiver for ipad application. Tap Install App. IT Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 21

Enter your App Store credentials and click OK if prompted. The Citrix icon displays Installing... After the installation is complete, the Citrix icon displays. 22 Job Aid IT Training and Development, MSC

Tap the Citrix icon. MAC ipad - Set Up Citrix Receiver to Open MyApps Environment The Welcome to Citrix Receiver window opens. Tap the Add Account button. The New Account window displays. Tap Next. IT Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 23

For ipad, an error is received, if https:// is not manually typed before the address. The Verified window displays. Enter information in the fields: User Name your UH username Password your UH password Domain UHHS Note The Description automatically populates as My Virtual Apps. MAC ipad - Access UH Applications From the Citrix Receiver Desktop, tap the Add (+) icon at the left of the page.. IT Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 25

The Menu Bar Displays with a list of apps. Tap the Apps you would like to appear on your Citrix Receiver Desktop. Tip You may add or remove icons from your Citrix Receiver Desktop at any time. 26 Job Aid IT Training and Development, MSC

As apps are selected, the add button next to them becomes a check mark and the icons display on the desktop. Collapse the Menu Bar by tapping the Collapse button. IT Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 27

Tip Once using an app, to return to the Home window, tap the drop-down icon at the top of any open window and select Home. Note To log off of Citrix Receiver for ipad, see Logging off of Citrix on page 38 of this Job Aid. IT Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 29

MAC: iphone (4G running ios 8.4.1) Depending on the type and version of your iphone, the screens you see on your device when completing this procedure may appear differently than the ones shown in this job aid. To connect to the MyApps secure environment, you will need to install an app on your iphone. This job aid assumes you are familiar with the process to open the App Store from your iphone. Set up and access to the MyApps secure environment on personal devices is only possible from outside the UH firewall. MAC iphone - Install the Citrix Receiver App To install the Citrix Receiver on your iphone, complete the following steps. Type Citrix in the Search Field and type Search. From the search results, select Citrix Receiver. Tap Install. IT Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 31

The Apple ID Password dialog box displays. In the password field, type your Apple ID password. Tap the OK button. Your iphone displays a grayed out Citrix icon with Waiting displayed below it while it downloads the application. 32 Job Aid IT Training and Development, MSC

MAC iphone - Access UH Applications Tap the Citrix icon. The Citrix Receiver window displays. Tap the Add Account button. The New Account window displays. In the Address field, enter myapps.uhhospitals.org. 34 Job Aid IT Training and Development, MSC

Logging off of Citrix To log off of Citrix, tap the Person icon in the upper left corner. The Log Off window displays. Tap the Log Off button. IT Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 37

Accessing Your MyApps Applications - Logging in to Citrix From your applications, tap the Receiver icon. The Uhhospitals Virtual desktop window displays, showing your MyApps applications. Tap the Application you are going to use. 38 Job Aid IT Training and Development, MSC

A Securing communications alert displays. The Enter Credentials window displays. In the User Name and Password fields, type your UH Network Username and Password and tap Log On or Go. IT Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 39

Android Devices Depending on the type and version of your Android device, the screens you see on your device when completing this procedure may appear differently than the ones shown in this job aid. Google Play is the official apps store for Android devices. To connect to the MyApps secure environment from an Android device, you will need to work with Google Play and install an App on your Android device. This job aid assumes you are familiar with the process to view your All Apps screen from your Android device. Set up and access to the MyApps secure environment on personal devices is only possible from outside the UH firewall. Android - Installing a Citrix Receiver App You will need to install the Citrix Receiver app to connect to the secure MyApps environment on your Android device. Select the Play Store icon from your All Apps screen. From the Play Store, enter Citrix in the search field. IT Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 41

From the list of search results, select Citrix Receiver. Tap the Install button. Then Click Accept. After the download is complete, a Citrix Receiver app displays on your All Apps screen. 42 Job Aid IT Training and Development, MSC

Android - Setting Up Your MyApps Citrix Account From your All Apps screen, tap the Citrix Receiver app. The Citrix Receiver Accounts screen displays. Tap the Add Account button. The Add Account screen displays. IT Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 43

In the Server field, enter myapps.uhhospitals.org. Tap the Next button. You will receive a validating account message. After the device completes the validation process, account details fields display on the Add Account screen. In the User Name field, enter your UH Network ID. Example: (JNurseX1). Note You do not need to enter your password in the Password field. UH will not allow your password to be saved in this field. In the Domain field, enter uhhs. Tap the Add button. The Citrix Receiver Accounts screen displays. The myapps.uhhospitals.org website address is available from this screen. Tap or click myapps.uhhospitals.org. An Enter Password menu displays. In the Enter Password field, enter your UH Network Password. Note If you have forgotten your UH Network Password, call the UH Service Desk at 216-844-3327 for assistance. Tap the Connect button. IT Training and Development, MSC Job Aid 45

A list of your available MyApps applications displays. Note If an icon for an existing app is missing, please contact the UH Service Desk at 216-844-3327. Tap or click an application name to open the application. The device will prompt you to enter your password again. Note If at any point you get an Invalid Server Certificate message (shown in the screenshot below), tap or click the Accept button to continue. 46 Job Aid IT Training and Development, MSC

Android - Opening MyApps Applications after Installation From your All Apps screen, tap or click the Citrix app. The Citrix Receiver Accounts screen displays. The myapps.uhhospitals.org website address is available from this screen. Tap or click myapps.uhhospitals.org. A list of your available MyApps applications displays. Note If an icon for an existing app is missing, please contact the UH Service Desk at 216-844-3327. Tap or click an application name to open the application. An Enter Password menu displays. In the Enter Password field, enter your UH Network Password. Note If you have forgotten your UH Network Password, call the UH Service Desk at 216-844-3327 for assistance. The Starting Internet Explorer, Citrix pop-up menu displays during the connection process. Android - Troubleshooting If you are having issues connecting, confirm that your connection settings are set up properly. From the Citrix Receiver Accounts screen, select the myapps.uhhospitals.org connection entry. Press and hold the myapps.uhhospitals.org connection entry. Click Edit account. The MyApps accounts screen displays. Confirm your account settings are set as: Server: https://myapps.uhhospitals.org User Name: Enter your UH Network ID in this field. Password: Skip this field. Using MyApps Double-click on the application icons on the MyApps Application page to launch an application. The application will open in a new Web-based window. Information Technology (IT) Support Available for Non-UH Devices The IT department will provide a limited amount of support for the use of UH applications and the MyApps secure environment from non-uh devices. The following IT support materials are available from this page: Links to the Citrix Online Receiver installation files (Citrix Online Plug-in) for Windows and Macintosh Job aid for user support Connection to the secure MyApps environment: https://myapps.uhhospitals.org Contact the UH Service Desk at 216-844-3327 for assistance with issues with the MyApps login process, including: Account unlocks and password resets. Verification that the MyApps secure environment is available or whether there is an outage. Confirmation that you have access to the MyApps secure environment. Verification that you have access to view all of the applications you need to use. Information about whether there are outages with the applications available through MyApps. Example: If you click on the Soarian application and it does not open, the UH Service Desk will confirm whether there is an outage with Soarian. The UH Service Desk is not able to provide support for the following issues on non-uh devices: Issues with your Internet or Wi-Fi connectivity. The installation or removal of applications. Troubleshooting software. The use of your device s specific features or functions. Issues with Windows 10, including technical preview releases. Note The UH Service Desk will not attempt to remotely connect to non-uh Devices. Note You are responsible for the maintenance of your non-uh device. Troubleshooting Tips for Microsoft Windows Devices Problem: You can see your application icons, but you are not able to open them. If you are able to see your application icons, but you are not able to launch any applications from the MyApps secure environment, try the following solutions. Troubleshooting Tip A: Wait until the Applications page has loaded in its entirety before opening an application. Troubleshooting Tip B: Deploy the Native Client. Troubleshooting Tip C: Make MyApps a Trusted Site and Add MyApps to Compatibility Mode. If MyApps is not a trusted site, you may have received a message regarding the Iaunch.ica file. Troubleshooting Tip D: Install the Citrix plug-in. Note If you have additional toolbars installed in your Internet browser, this may cause issues opening MyApps applications. Troubleshooting Tip A Waiting until the Applications page has loaded before opening applications. The MyApps Applications page shows the applications to which you have access. This page takes time to completely load after it displays. After the MyApps Applications page initially displays, wait 20 seconds before you click an application icon. Double-click an application icon. If the application does not respond, click the Refresh button from Internet Explorer. Wait 20 seconds. Double-click an application icon again. Troubleshooting Tip B Deploying the Native Client From the bottom right hand side of the screen, click Problem Connecting. The Client Selection screen displays. This screen will show that your Client is either Available or Not Currently Available. If your Client is Not Currently Available, click the Deploy link next to Native Client. Note Clicking the Deploy link will prompt you to download and install the Citrix Online Plug-in. Click Run to download the file. An Internet Explorer Security Warning displays. From the Internet Explorer Security Warning, click the Run or Allow button. Click the OK button. An Installation Completed Successfully confirmation message displays. Tip If Troubleshooting Tips A and B did not resolve your issue, continue to Troubleshooting Tip C. Troubleshooting Tip C Making MyApps a Trusted Site in Internet Explorer Note This tip applies to Non-UH Devices Only. If you are receiving a message regarding a Iaunch.ica file (see example below) or if you are still unsuccessful launching an application from the MyApps secure environment, make MyApps.uhhospitals.org a trusted site in Internet Explorer. Open a new Internet Explorer browser window. From the Internet Explorer menu bar, click Tools > Internet Options. The Internet Options menu displays. Click the Security tab. In the Add this website field, type uhhospitals.org Click the Close button. From the Internet Explorer browser window, click Tools. Click Delete Browsing History. Click Delete. Close the Internet Explorer window by clicking the red X in the upper right hand corner. Note You must close and relaunch Internet Explorer to apply and save your changes. Relaunch Internet Explorer and enter http://myapps.uhhospitals.org to return to the MyApps log-in page. Tip If Troubleshooting Tips A, B, and C, and D did not resolve your issue, proceed to Troubleshooting Tip E. Troubleshooting Tip E Reinstalling the Citrix Online Plug-In (Citrix Online Receiver) You will need to uninstall the Citrix Online Plug-in if your issue is still not resolved. Below are steps on how to uninstall the plug-in. The Citrix Online Plug-In is also called a Citrix Online Receiver file. Click the Start menu in the Microsoft Windows task bar. From the Start menu options, click Control Panel. The Control Panel displays. From the Control Panel, click Programs and Features (Add or Remove programs). Click the Citrix online plug-in. Keeping UH and Patient Data Secure MyApps Helps Protect UH Data and Protected Health Information (PHI) The MyApps application provides remote access to UH s network and applications, but does not allow you to save files locally to your device s hard drive. This functionality of MyApps protects patient data; it keeps all UH files on the UH network. If your self-purchased device is lost or stolen, patient data is not compromised. Tip When connecting to the UH Network and UH applications, do not leave your device unattended. Follow UH Policies Review all of UH s PHI policies.
