But considering the complexities of today s core and complementary banking solutions, most banks use approximately 60% of the functionality available in their existing technology platforms. Regulatorydriven and functional system enhancements, personnel changes, time restraints there are many reasons you might not be maximizing technology already at your fingertips. Based on the strategic goal of helping our bank clients optimize their Jack Henry Banking technology and operate more efficiently, we re introducing JHA Get Smart. JHA Get Smart is a complimentary, optional education-based product certification program that enables in-house and outsourced banks to formally certify designated employees on their core system and key complementary solutions. These certifications are intended to identify and train resident solution experts that can help optimize the day-to-day use and benefits realized from Jack Henry Banking s dynamic products and services. The certification program offers a new curriculum distinct from the Know-It-All courses available from Jack Henry University. JHA Get Smart also rewards banks for participating in specific engagement activities. Participating banks are required to certify on their respective core system SilverLake System, CIF 20/20, or Core Director. Optional certifications on the following complementary solutions enable banks to earn additional points and greater core maintenance/core processing discounts: NetTeller jhapassport Direct or jhapassport.pro Synergy Document Management in-house installations and Synergy Express outsourced implementations 4 sight Item Imaging in-house installations Vertex Teller Automation System Vertex Teller Capture Core Director Teller Core Director Teller Capture The engagement activities included in JHA Get Smart are: Attending the annual Banking Educational Conference (BEC) Attending the annual CEO Executive Forum Contracting for an Intellix Consulting operational assessment available for SilverLake System, CIF 20/20, Core Director, NetTeller, the Vertex Teller Automation System, jhapassport, and Synergy Enterprise Content Management Obtaining a Know it all NOW elearning subscription JHA Get Smart replaces the Partner Rewards program introduced 10 years ago and the available discounts on Qualified Complementary Products (QCPs). 1 2
+ CERTIFICATION POINTS AND DISCOUNTS >> If you are an in-house client and participate in the JHA Get Smart program, you ll accrue points that can translate into core system maintenance fee discounts. These discounts will be reflected in the annual maintenance billing for the period of July 2016 through June 2017. OutLink clients who participate in the Get Smart program earn discounts on core processing services that will be reflected in the monthly billing statements generated in July 2016. Discounts are calculated based on program points accrued during the annual certification period which begins each April. Optional complementary solution certifications can be obtained concurrently with the core certification. Annual certifications are required to qualify for ongoing core maintenance/core processing discounts. The established annual certification period will begin each April and provides a 12-month certification period. Additional bank associates can receive complimentary product-specific certifications but additional points will not be awarded. Each bank within a bank holding company must certify individually. Certifications are available exclusively for bank employees and not for contractors or consultants supporting specific bank initiatives. Bank associate certifications that are current (certifications obtained in the current certification year) can be transferred to other Jack Henry Banking client banks if personnel changes occur. Discounts cannot be combined with existing discounts including multi-year maintenance contracts with negotiated discounts. + CERTIFICATION PERIOD The initial certification program will begin April 1, 2015 and all certifications must be completed by March 31, 2016. Discounts earned during the initial certification period begin July 1, 2016. However, the JHA Get Smart curriculum and required testing are still delivered through the convenient and familiar Jack Henry University, which will also track your certification progress. As a participating bank, a quarterly summary of your certification status will be emailed to your bank s CEO, key contact, and training coordinator. 3 4
