Windows 7 BYOD on MCSD WiFi Revised 100114 - CWH These instructions will show how to connect a Windows 7 laptop to the District WiFi (MartinSchools). These instructions are to be used only with BYOD devices. Please contact the Help Desk for assistance connecting a District owned laptop to the WiFi. In all cases, you will connect to the MartinSchools WiFi network. Staff will use the same username and password used when signing on to their desktop PC. Students will use their 4300 number and Pinnacle password. Under no circumstances can a student be allowed to use a device that has been connected to the WiFi using a staff username and password. If you are having trouble getting a device to connect, restarting or rebooting the device usually helps. Some devices cannot properly select which WiFi band to use. If your device supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz and you are having difficulty connecting, look for a setting that talks about WiFi frequency band. The options are usually Auto, 5GHz, and 2.4GHz. Try selecting either 5GHz or 2.4GHz. ET cannot provide any other assistance with BYOD devices.
