Our Product Range Operating Leases Operating Leases allow customers to lease equipment for an agreed initial term. The Operating Lease Program is designed for customers who want access to the latest technology without the burdens and risks of ownership. At the end of the initial term, the customer has the option to return the equipment, upgrade in whole or part to new technology, extend the lease at lower rate, or buy the equipment at its Fair Market Value. Typical operating lease terms are from 24 to 36 months. Lowest cost leasing option Off-balance sheet accounting treatment Flexible end of term options Technology Migration Lease Program The Technology Migration Lease Program is designed to help customers keep abreast of the latest technologies by providing flexibility for technology upgrades when needed. Available to qualifying Cisco Systems customers, the Technology Migration Lease is an operating lease with a unique upgrade option that allows them to return leased Cisco equipment before the lease maturity with generous exchange terms. Terms range from 24 to 36 months with migration points at intervals to match the customer s upgrade plans. Enhanced technology obsolescence protection Off-balance sheet accounting treatment Flexible end of term options Technology Services Lease Program The Technology Services Lease Program allows customers to bundle Cisco SMARTnet maintenance into their equipment lease for one easy, monthly payment. The Technology Services Lease Program is available for Cisco SMARTnet maintenance contracts sold directly by Cisco or a partner to any customer who leases Cisco equipment over the same term as the maintenance. It combines service, product, and financing in one payment, with available lease terms from 24 to 36 months. Bundling of Equipment and Maintenance Off-balance sheet accounting treatment Flexible end of term options Sale and Lease Back Sale and Lease Back refers to a transaction in which Cisco Capital purchases network assets already owned by a customer and leases those assets back to the customer or another party. Sale and Lease Back transactions are designed for customers who need to purchase assets first for tax or other reasons before leasing them, or when an end-user chooses to lease rather than own previously acquired assets for purposes of balance sheet or cash flow considerations, or when outsourcing network management to a telecommunications service provider or specialized network outsource company.
