INTEFACING SOLUTIONS INSTALLATION INSTUCTIONS: 1. Carefully remove the dash panel trim with a plastic pry tool. Work your way around the panel to avoid damaging it. 2. Unplug the connector behind the dash panel trim. 3. Carefully remove the air vent using a plastic pry tool. Work your way around the vent to avoid damaging it. 4. Unplug the 2-pin connector behind the air vent. 5. emove the AC control module with a plastic pry tool. 6. Unplug the 2 connectors behind the AC control module. 7. emove the 4 screws holding the radio. 8. Unplug the radio connectors, antenna and set aside the radio. 9. emove the OEM screen by removing the 4 T-20 torx screws on each corner. 3 of 7
INTEFACING SOLUTIONS 10. Unplug the LVDS connector. 11. On a clean, flat surface, remove the 4 screws holding the screens metal frame. 12. Using a flat head screw driver, carefully pry the locks to release the metal frame. 13. Gently peel off the touch panel s protective film on both sides. 14. Lay the touch panel on top of the OEM screen. 15. Make sure that the white printing on the touch panel s flexible circuit is facing down. einstall the metal frame as shown above. 16. einstall the 4 screws holding the metal frame. Touch panel installation is now complete. 17. To connect the touch screen s flexible circuit to the touch panel cable provided, pull back the black locking tab and insert the flexible circuit into the connector. Push in the black locking tab to lock it in place. 18. Plug the 10-pin LVDS connector on the LVDS cable provided to the OEM screen. 4 of 7

Plug the OEM LVDS connector to the mating connector on the provided LVDS cable. 20. un the cables behind the screen and reinstall the screen back to the dash cavity and secure with the screws. 21. Plug the AMI to 3.5mm audio adapter (not included) to the AMI port in the glove box. 22. un the 3.5mm plug cable towards the radio. We suggest inserting it into the hole as pictured above. 23. Mount the microphone to the desired location. We recommend mounting it by the rear view mirror or sun visor. un the cable towards the radio location. 24. Plug the OEM connector from the AC control module to the Power/ CAN module T-harness. Plug the other connector of the Power/CAN T-harness to the AC control module. 25. Plug the LVDS connector, 3.5mm stereo input plug from the AMI adapter, Microphone plug, touch panel connector, A/V cable, push button switch connector and USB extension cable to the module. Each connector is clearly labeled on the module. The push button switch and USB extension cable should be mounted or stored in a easily accesible location. The push button switch is used to toggle the Dual Link feature and the A/V inputs. The USB extension cable is used to plug in the OEM smartphone charging/data cable for use on Android Auto and other 2-way mirroring devices. 5 of 7
INTEFACING SOLUTIONS 26. Mount the module 27. econnect the radio connectors inside the radio cavity and use zip ties or and antenna to the radio. Do not double sided tape to secure it. secure the radio yet until the unit has been tested. 29. Plug in a OEM smartphone cable to the USB extension cable and test for other functionality. Control Android Auto and other 2-way mirroring devices using the touch screen. 28. Press and hold the push button switch for 3-5 seconds. The screen should change to DUAL LINK mode. 30. esintall the radio, AC control module and dash panel trim by reversing the process. SETTING YOU DEVICE: 1. Go to Settings and then 2. Go to Software info go to About device. and click Build Number 5 times to activate Developer Mode. 3.Go to Developer options and then enable USB debugging. 4. INTEFACING SOLUTIONS OPEATION: 1. Connect the original USB cable to the interface s USB extension cable and to the phone. Android Auto will be launched automatically. User may use the OE touch screen to control all the functions. 2. Once Android Auto is launched, users may use the original features of Android Auto such as Google Maps, Music, adio, Call, etc. In case the phone has no onscreen HOME or BACK button, user can download onscreen navigation buttons from Playstore. 3. Press the HOME key or BACK button to exit Android Auto. Once the phone exits the app, full phone screen mirroring will be shown. User can then use the apps of the phone such as Waze and Videos. OE touch screen will be used to control the apps. The Screen orientation will depend if the app supports it.
