2 Introduction: Just because you drive an older car does not mean you have to settle for old technology. From a single USB terminal on or near the dash, the user can connect, play and charge all Apple Lightning plug devices (iphones, ipads) without sacrificing the look and feel of the dashboard components. The USB-JAG works in all Jaguar x100 and x308 vehicles Standard or Premium Audio System with CD Changer and only requires sacrificing use of the t CD Changer. With the storage capacity of most portable devices sacrificing the CD Changer should be an easy decision. See Frequently Asked question section at the end of this guide for more details. Installation: Fig Remove cable from holding tab and separate (disconnect) by gasping both ends and gently pulling apart (do not twist) 4. CD Changer terminalis female (right), Amplifier or Radio plug is Male (See Fig. 2) This adapter connects to wiring in trunk (Radio removal NOT required). 1. Remove carpet trim piece surrounding audio rack and remove (4) 8mm nuts securing rack to the vehicle. Lean rack forward to reveal wiring and connections on the back 2. Locate thick black cable which connects CD Auto Changer to Amplifier (premium system) or to Radio (Standard systems) (See Fig. 1) 1 Fig Connect Male end (Amplifier or Radio) into Female connector on adapter. See (See Fig. 3) 3

Pull excess cable and begin tucking under backrest and seat cushion as you work towards the rear of the center glove box (armrest) as seen in Fig. 7, Fig. 8 and Fig Connect male plug from adapter to Female on CD Changer pigtail. Routing Audio/Power cable 1. Use a pry tool to open gap between window pillar and rear deck as seen in Fig From inside trunk fish the audio plug (See Fig. 4) through and into the cabin. ( See Fig. 6 ) Do not pull on connector (plug) Fig. 7 Fig. 8 Fig ft. Audio cable Fig Continue to use pry tool or fingers to fish wire under center glove box into storage bin. 4. To remove storage bin: Open the center glove box and remove 2 Philips head screws from latch cover and two more from hinge then remove the single screw on retainer bracket.

4 5. Lift to remove storage bin and set aside. 6. Locate audio plug fed through in step 3 and gently pull excess cable. 7. Connect 6-pin audio cable (routed from trunk) to 6-pin plug on USB Module 8. Decide where and how to mount the USB terminal. 2. Insert male end of USB cable (See Fig. 13) through the ¾ hole created in step 1 and mate with the Female USB terminal on the Adapter (See Fig. 14) Decide where and how to mount the USB terminal. A. Flush mount requires drilling a ¾ hole in the dash B. Mounting with Support bracket (use this option to mount the USB terminal wherever your installation demands without drilling) C. Drill a ¾ hole in dash or panel using a step drill bit or equivalent (See Fig. 12) Fig. 14 USB Male (left), Female (Right) 3. Push flush mount end of USB cable ( See Fig. 15) through hole created in step 1 until it snaps in place and flush with mounting surface (See Fig. 16) Fig. 12 Step drill bit

Insert male end of USB cable through hole in bracket (See Fig. 18) 1 and mate with Female USB terminal from Adapter (See Fig. 19) 1 Fig. 16 Flush mounted to dash 4. Tuck and secure any extra wire from moving parts and test operation. Fig B. With Support Bracket Bracket (No drilling) 1. Locate a flat surface at location of choice within 6 ft. and mount USB support bracket to surface using adhesive/tape or screws. (See Fig. 17) Fig USB Male (left) USB Female (right) 3. Push the USB terminal through hole in mounting bracket until it snaps in place and flush (See Fig. 20)

6 Test Operation 1. Turn ignition to accessory position and radio ON. 2. Press CD button on the radio. Track or Disc number will be displayed only if there is a DISC in the CD Auto Changer otherwise NO MAGAZINE is displayed (See Fig. 22) Fig Tuck and secure any extra wire away from moving parts and test operation C. Free Standing (Un ( Un-Mounted Mounted) USB Terminal The Module has a Female USB terminal (See Fig. 21). Simply route this USB terminal from center armrest to location of choice within 6 ft. and connect the Apple or Samsung** charging cable for your device. Fig. 21 Un-mounted USB Terminal Fig Connect audio device (ipod, iphone, ipad) to USB Terminal using their respective charging cable 4. Audio device will begin charging 5. Press CD Button on Radio. 6. Select your favorite track using the devices built-in controls. Warning! Playlist and Track selection is *NOT* possible from the radio. You must use the ipod built-in controls to access music files. 7. Audio device should now be heard on the car speakers 8. Use the Volume control on radio to set playback level 9. If successful go ahead and Reinstall Audio Rack and panels

7 Frequent asked questions 1. Does the USB-JAG work in vehicles with Navigation YES; The USB-JAG works in vehicles with Navigation 2. Does the USB-JAG work in Non-Premium Systems S YES; this kits work in Non- Premium and Premium Audio Systems. 3. Do I have to remove e the radio to install this kit NO; this kit connects to the amplifier/cd Changer in the trunk and because of that radio removal is NOT required x100 Premium Sound System (To Changer) x100 Standard Sound System (To Changer) x100 Premium Sound System (To Changer) *1998 XK8 from VIN # and beyond (please verify VIN number prior to purchasing) 4. Does the e USB-JAG work if vehicle does not have a CD Changer? No. This Kit requires a CD Changer. The CD Changer remains connected but will no longer play. 5. Does this adapter charge and play all Apple Lightning Phones and Tablets? All Apple Lightning devices will play and charge, however older 30-pin devices will charge but will not play. 6.
