More Access. More Tools. More Security. Welcome to Salal s New Mobile and Online Banking Experience. Salal will soon be introducing a new Mobile and Online Banking platform. This guide will give you a quick introduction to some of the many new features that will make managing your money even easier. It s all part of our commitment to continually improving the services we provide our members. Once our new platform is launched, you will need to take a few easy steps when you log in for the first time (see page 9). New Features Making it easier to manage your money anytime, anywhere MANAGE ALL YOUR ACCOUNTS IN ONE PLACE Connect all your deposit and loan accounts, even ones from other banks and credit unions, and get a full view of your finances at any time. PERSONALIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE New customizable options let you organize your dashboard and nickname and color-code your accounts to help you stay on top of your finances and get your banking done faster. STRONGER SECURITY, MORE PEACE OF MIND More layers of security, such as two-factor authentication, Verafin advanced fraud detection, and state-ofthe-art encryption, keep your money and personal information safe. New Features (continued) CUSTOMIZE YOUR ALERTS Create your own SMS text message or email alerts to get custom updates on low balances, account activity, and payments whatever you want to keep an eye on. SNAPSHOT INSTANT ACCESS When you re on the go, Snapshot lets you quickly see your account summary through the Mobile App without needing to log in. Available for ios and coming soon for Android! SMARTER BUDGETING TOOLS Track spending, set savings goals, and create budgets to better understand your finances and make it easier to set money aside for whatever you re saving for. EXPANDED MONEY TRANSFER OPTIONS Easily transfer money to your accounts at other financial institutions or send funds to other Salal Members. DOWNLOAD THE NEW APP Once our new platform is launched, both Android and Apple device users will need to download the new Salal Mobile Banking app. Downloading the new app is easy. Just search for Salal in your app store. 6 7
Steps You Need to Take Before the New Platform Launches Update Your Contact Information It s always important that Salal has your current contact information. When you log in to our new Mobile or Online Banking platform, we will be using the email and phone number you have on file with Salal to help authenticate your device. Verify and Update Your Phone Number To update your phone number, log in to our current Online Banking and click on Services. Find Address Change and click Continue. Once on the Address Change page, scroll down to find your phone number. Logging in for the First Time Logging in for the first time is easy. For primary and joint account holders who have previously used Salal Mobile or Online Banking, follow the steps starting on page 10 the first time you log in with the new platform. For Mobile Banking, see page 7 for instructions on downloading the newly redesigned Salal Mobile Banking app. Verify and Update Your Email To update your email, log in to our current Online Banking and click on Settings. You can change your email in the Modify Personal Settings section. You can also update your information at any of our five neighborhood branches. Step 1: Enter your current username You can find the Online Banking login near the upper right corner of the SalalCU.org homepage. Enter the username you previously used to log in to Salal Mobile or Online Banking (you do not need to change your username). Then tap or click the arrow button. Step 2: Enter your temporary password Your temporary password is the 4-digit year you were born, followed by the last 6 digits of your social security number. IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE YOUR OLD ONLINE BANKING PASSWORD. For example: Birthdate: 01/15/1975 Social Security Number: 123-45-6789 Your temporary password: 1975456789 (no spaces) Then tap or click the Log In button. 10 11
Step 3: Create a new password Your new password must be at least eight (8) characters in length and contain at least one (1) of each of the following: One lowercase letter One uppercase letter One number One special character such as: @ $ * _ - =.! ~ Step 4: Choose security questions Once you have set up your new password, you will be asked to choose your security questions. These questions are used to help verify your identity when you log in from an unfamiliar device. When you are finished selecting your questions, tap or click the Continue button. Then tap or click the Continue button. 12 13
Step 5: Confirm your email and phone number Next you will enter the email and phone number Salal currently has on file. Then select your time zone and click Continue. See Page 8 to learn how to verify and update your email and phone number online before the new platform launches. You can also update your information at any of our five neighborhood branches. Step 6: Get started with the Mobile and Online Banking Platform You can finish filling out your profile information, view your accounts and balances, or start customizing your new Mobile and Online banking account. And that s it! Now you can enjoy all the new features and tools of the new Salal Mobile and Online Banking experience. 14 15
