Roles of ICT Unit To assist the SITRC carry out its functions and responsibilities; To advise, and to assist the SUK in the development, implementation, enforcement and monitoring of policies, strategies, directions and guidelines pertaining to the development and application of ICT and digital content in the State Public Service; To be the Secretariat for the SITRC; To be the Secretariat for the State ICT and Resources Architecture Committee; To represent the State Government in liaising with the Federal Government on matters pertaining to ICT and digital content; To collect, manage and administer government ICT data for the best interest of the State Government; To be responsible for the development and maintenance of ICT development plans of the State Government; To be responsible for the development and preparation of the State Government s ICT budget; To be responsible for monitoring the implementation of the State ICT plans and programs; To be responsible for the design, development, maintenance and administration of the State Government s ICT network and homepage; To monitor and coordinate State Government s community ICT programs in the Information State; and and Communications Technology (ICT) Unit, Chief Minister s Department To undertake any other functions and activities pertaining to the
