Dates of Registration and Submission of Examination Entries 2.1 Candidates, who wish to register for the examination, must submit an examination entry form to the SAICSA Secretariat. 2.2 Opening date for submission of examination entries is from Tuesday 20 May 2014 2.3 Closing date and time of submission of examination entries for New Candidates - 7.00 p.m. sharp on Friday 20 June 2014 Existing and Resit Candidates - 7.00 p.m. sharp on Friday 4 July 2014 2.4 Registration and submission of examination entries will not be accepted after the closing date and time. 2.5 The examination closing date is the date by which an examination entry must be received at the SAICSA Secretariat and not the date it is posted, faxed or email by a candidate. It is important to comply with the examination closing date. 3. Registration of Examination Entries 3.1 Candidates may register for a maximum of two modules for each examination date. 3.2 Candidates must pass the modules in the Professional Programme Part 1 before they are permitted to register for the modules in the Professional Programme Part 2. 3.3 Should there be any changes to the modules(s) entered for an examination date, candidates must notify the SAICSA Secretariat before the examination closing date. Candidates are not permitted to change the modules entered after the examination closing date. 4. Submission of Examination Entries 4.1 Any application to enter an examination must be made using the prescribed examination entry form. 4.2 Candidates may submit their examination entry forms personally at the SAICSA Secretariat or via fax, email or post. 4.3 Submission of examination entry forms via fax, email or post must reach the SAICSA Secretariat before the stipulated closing date. 4.4 It is the candidate s responsibility to ensure that the examination entry forms are duly completed before submission. Incomplete examination entry forms will be rejected. 4.5 Submission of Examination entry form must be accompanied with the payment of the requisite examination entry fee. (See below at Clause 5.5 Payment of Examination Entry Fees) 4.6 Examination entry forms submitted via fax, email and post will not be accepted and candidates will not be registered for the examination until the requisite examination entry fees are paid. Payment of examination entry fees must be done before the examination closing date. 5 Payment of Examination Entry Fees 5.1 It is the candidate s responsibility to pay the requisite examination entry fee before the examination closing date. If payment is not made by then, the candidate will not be registered for the examination. 5.2 Payment of the examination entry fee may be made by NETS or Cheque. 5.3 For cheque payment, please ensure that the cheque is made payable to SAICSA. The candidate is to write his/her full name and mobile number at the back cheque for verification purposes. If the cheque is dishonoured, the candidate s registration for the examination will not be accepted. 5.4 The examination entry fees (including GST) for the SAICSA IQS Examination are as follows: New Subject Resit Subject One subject S$ 775.75 One subject S$374.50 Two modules S$1,551.50 Two modules S$749.00 5.5 Candidates may opt to pay the examination entry fees by instalments. The instalment scheme is as follows: Examination Entry Fee Instalment Scheme (applicable for 1 st examination attempt only) Not applicable for Company Sponsored Candidates On registration and submission of examination entry Final Instalment All instalments will be collected via Giro. Please complete the Giro form and submit together with the registration form and the requisite fees. One Subject Two Modules $428.00 $856.00 $347.75 $695.50 Total $775.75 $1,551.50 5.6 Company Sponsored Candidates the following provisions are applicable i Candidates who are sponsored by their respective companies or organisations ( Company Sponsored Candidates ) are required to pay the examination entry fees in full. ii Candidates must ensure that their respective sponsoring companies or organisations pay the full examination entry fees within 7 days upon receipt of the SAICSA invoices, failing which the Company Sponsored Candidates registration for the examination will not be accepted. iii If a Company Sponsored Candidate withdraws from the examination before the closing date, the examination fee paid will be refunded to the respective company or organisation. If the Company Sponsored Candidate withdraws from the examination after the stipulated closing date, no part of the examination entry fee will be refunded. iv If a Company Sponsored Candidates fails to attend the examination; no part of the examination entry fee will be refunded to the company to the sponsoring company or organisation. v. In the events that the Company Sponsored Candidates has ceased their employment with his/her sponsoring company or organisation no part of the examination entry fees will be refunded to his/her respective company or organisation. 5.7 Examination Resit Fee i. This is only applicable to candidates who did not pass a subject or absent from an examination for the presiding past 4 examination diets. ii. The prevailing examination resit fee is S$374.50 per subject and it must be paid in full upon registration. 6 Withdrawal from the Examination and Refund policy 6.1 Withdrawal from the Examination i ii. iii. A candidate may withdraw from the examination before the stipulated closing date by formally informing the SAICSA Secretariat in writing in person or via email, fax or post. No withdrawal from the examination is allowed after the stipulated closing date. Candidates, who have withdrawn from an examination, will be treated as new candidates and will not be entitled to the stipulated examination resit fee. 6.2 Refund of Examination Entry Fee i. If a candidate withdraws from the examination before the stipulated closing date; the examination entry fee paid will be refunded. ii If a candidate withdraws from the examination after the stipulated closing date, no part of the examination entry fee paid will be refunded. 7. Deferment of the Examination 7.1 If a candidate is prevented from taking an examination owing to extenuating circumstances (e.g. demise of a family member or prolonged illness), and wishes to defer the current examination entry to the next examination date, he/she has to submit an application within 14 days from the last day of the examination registered for. Documentary evidences must be submitted to support the application. 7.2 Medical certificate from clinics will not be accepted for those absent on the day of Examination unless it s hospitalisation leave. 8. Absence from an Examination 8.1 Candidates, who have absented themselves from an examination, may register for the next examination date by paying the next examination resit fee applicable. 9. Student Renewal fee 9.1 Candidates who do not register for a following examination diet, are required to pay the prevailing student renewal fee to maintain on the student register 9.2 The Studentship renewal fee will be waived if Candidates register for the examination on a continual basis. 9.3 The prevailing student renewal fee is $112.35 (incl GST) for a six-month period. 10. Notification 10.1 Candidates should notify the SAICSA Secretariat immediately should there be any change of their correspondence address. 10.2 The Examination Docket containing information on the date(s), time and venue of the examination, and instructions to candidates will be despatched to all candidates at least seven (7) days before the commencement of examination.
