1. Introduction DiConnect Lite is a small program used by TMP VAN customer. Acting like a FTPClient, it provides users with the capabilities to download and upload documents from/to the TMP VAN server. 2. System Requirements Ensure that your computer meets the minimum requirements described below prior to installing DiConnect Lite: Hardware Intel Pentium Processor at a speed of 1.2 GHz or equivalent AMD processor 1 GB of RAM 2 GB of available hard-disk space Internet connection Operating system Windows 7, Win server 2008, Windows XP (SP 3, version 2002) Software Microsoft.Net Framework 4.0. Microsoft SQL Server/Express 2008. 3. Installing DiConnect Lite You need to set up the Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0 full package or greater version for your computer before installing DiConnect Lite. Besides, you must set up Window Installer 3.1 and Windows Imaging Component (WIC) in Windows XP. 1. In the DiConnect Lite installer directory, double click the DiConnectLite_TP.exe file to start the installation wizard. 4

2. In the Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for DiConnect Lite stage, click the Next button. 5

a. Type the user name and company name in the User Name and Company Name boxes respectively. b. Click the Next button. 4. In the Setup Type stage, 7

a. Select the desired setup type. Complete in case you want to install all program features. Custom in case you want to choose the program feature(s) to install. b. Click the Next button. c. If you select Complete, jump to step 7. 5. In the Choose Destination Location stage, 8

a. Click the Browse button provided that you want to change the destination folder. In the Browse for Folder dialog, locate the intended folder. b. Click the Next button. 6. In the Select Features stage, 9

a. Select the checkbox(es) for the feature(s) you want to install. Tip: it is recommended you select the two features. b. Click the Next button. 7. In the Database Server Login stage, 10

a. Select the database server that will hold the DiConnect Lite database from the Database server that you are installing to dropdown list. If your intended database server does not exist in the Database server that you are installing to dropdown list, click the Browse button. In the Browse Database Server dialog, select the appropriate one and then click the OK button. b. Select the connection method. 11

c. If you choose SQL Server authentication using Login ID and password below, type the user name and password in the respective Login ID and Password boxes. d. Click the Next button. 8. In the Ready to Install the Program stage, click the Install button. 12

9. In the InstallShield Wizard Complete stage, click the Finish button. 13

4. Launching DiConnect Lite 1. Click the Windows Start button. 2. Click All Programs and then point to DiCentral. 3. Right-click on DiConnect Lite to activate the Contextual menu. 4. Select Run as administrator from the Contextual menu. Alternative: 1. Right-click on the DiConnect Lite icon on the Windows desktop to activate the Contextual menu. 2. Select Run as administrator from the Contextual menu. Note: In Windows XP, it is unnecessary to run DiConnect Lite as Administrator. 5. Customer Account To use DiConnect Lite, you need a TMP VAN customer account. When TMP VAN receives a customer s registration form, TMP VAN admin will validate your information and send back an email with activation information to you. By now, user could activate customer account by using DiConnect Lite. After that, TMP VAN will send back to user web account; ftp account ( web account for managing customer profile, ftp account for downloading/uploading documents). 14

Customer logs in to DiConnect Lite using web account, all information needed to interact with TMP VAN server will be automatically filled ( FTP URL, UserName, password ). From now on, customer can easily use DiConnect Lite to download/upload documents from/to TMP VAN server. When you run the program for the first time, the DiConnect Lite Wizard is displayed. If you are not yet a TMP customer account, select Not a TMP member yet option and register as a TMP VAN customer account. Refer to section 5.1 If you already have a TMP customer account, select Already TMP member. Customer has already registered to TMP VAN option. Refer to section 5.3. 15

5.1 Registration 1. In the DiConnect Lite dialog, click the Register with TMP link. The Customer Register dialog is displayed. 2. Fill out the form. 3. Click the Register button. 16

An email is sent to the TMP VAN administrator for approval. Once the registration has been successful, an email with the activation code is delivered to your mail box. 5.2 Activating a Customer Account 1. In the DiConnect Lite dialog, click the Activate link. Alternative: during the DiConnect Lite Wizard, select the Not a TMP member yet option. Next, click Activate your TMP Account link in the Customer Register dialog. The Customer Activation dialog is displayed. 2. Type your activation code in the Activation Code box. 3. Click the Activate button. 17

5.3 Log in Once you have an account of DiConnect Lite, perform the following: 1. Click the Already a TMP member link in the DiConnect Lite dialog. The Login Is Member dialog is displayed. 2. Type your username and password in the User Name and Password boxes respectively. 3. Select the Get all FTP profiles checkbox if you retrieve all the ftp accounts of the account from TMP VAN. 4. Click the OK button. 18

Note: Based on the username and FTP URL, DiConnect Lite will update the existing FTP accounts in the database and add new ones. The application only loads the FTP accounts of the login user. 5.4 Sign out Click the Sign out link in the DiConnect Lite dialog. 5.5 Managing Profile The Manage Profile feature will be enabled after successful login or activation. You can navigate directly to the DiConnect web to manage profile without launching a web browser. To use the feature, click the Manage Profile link in the DiConnect Lite dialog. 19

For further information, refer to the DiConnect Admin Website and the DiConnect user manual. 5.6 License 5.6.1 Viewing license information 1. Launch and log in to DiConnect Lite. 2. On the DiConnect Lite Configuration tab, click the License Information link. The License Information dialog is displayed. Maximum Connections: maximum number of enabled FTP accounts. Free Version vs License Key You run DiConnect Lite with Free Version unless you acquire a license key. Free Version never expires but provides the capability to enable only one FTP account. The Activation dialog is displayed whenever you launch DiConnect Lite. On the contrary, every license key has limited time of use and provides the capability to enable a given number of license keys. 5.6.2 Activating with a Key You get prompted to activate the DiConnect Lite when you launch the application but do not yet activate it. 20

Besides, you can initiate the activation process by clicking the License Information link. Next, in the License Information dialog, click the Upgrade button. The DiConnect Lite Activation dialog is displayed. Under Activation via the Internet, a. Enter the new license key in the License Key box. b. Enter your customer key in the Customer ID box. c. Click the Activate button. 5.6.3 License upgrade 1. Launch and log in to the DiConnect Lite. 2. On the DiConnect Lite Confuguration tab, click the License Information link. 3. In the License Information dialog, click the Upgrade button. The DiConnect Lite Activation dialog is displayed. 21

4. Under Activation via the Internet, a. Enter the new license key in the License Key box. b. Enter your customer key in the Customer ID box. c. Click the Upgrade button. License Expiration When your license key expires, the following things will happen: The application as well as its service automatically stops. Accordingly the files in processing turn failed. DiConnect Lite reverts back to a Free Version with which you can enable only one FTP account. A notification message is sent to your mail box provided that you have configured an email account. 6. FTP Account 6.1 Getting an FTP Profile This feature is to get all of your FTP accounts from DiConnect. 1. Launch DiConnect Lite. 2. Click the Get FTP Profile link in the DiConnect Lite dialog. The FTP User Authentication dialog is displayed. 22

3. Type the username and password of the preferred FTP account in the FTP Username and FTP Password boxes respectively. 4. Click the OK button. FPT profile is automatically added to DiConnect Lite. Note: The FTP profile will be updated if the FTP URL and username already exist; If not, it will be added. 6.2 Editing an FTP account 1. Launch and log in to DiConnect Lite. 2. Switch to the DiConnect Lite Configuration tab. 3. Select the intended FTP account from the FTP Account dropdown list. 4. Under TMP VAN, a. Type your trading partner ID in the Trading Partner ID box. 23

b. Select the Enabled checkbox next to Account Status if you want the FTP account to be available for use. c. Set the number of times you want DiConnect Lite to reconnect to the TMP VAN server after an unsuccessful connection in the Connection Retry box. 5. Under General Configuration, a. In the Transfer Mode frame, choose between the Passive and Active mode for FTP transfer mode. b. Specify the interval of checks to download/upload in the Timer (Minute) box. c. Select the Auto Send checkbox if you want to upload documents immediately after they are put into the Outgoing folder. d. Click the Configure Email button. e. In the Email Configuration dialog, i. Type the email address to which you want to send the alert messages when connections to the TMP VAN server are not successful in the Sender Email box. Tip: Email address must be Gmail. ii. Type the password of the email address (in the Sender Email box) in the Password box. iii. Select the Email SSL checkbox if you want to use the SSL protocol for email exchange. iv. Type the email address(es) from which you want to receive the alert messages in the Receiver Email(s) box. v. Click the Save button. vi. Click the Close button to close the Email Configuration dialog. f. Select the Alert if retry failed (Email) checkbox provided that you want to receive alert messages after an email exchange error occurs (etc. errors in upload, download, moving archive ) Tip: you must configure the email before selecting the Alert if retry failed (Email) checkbox. 24

6. Under Incoming Configuration, a. Select the Download Required checkbox if you want to download files using DiConnect Lite. b. Type the path of the folder on the server from which files are downloaded in the Server Folder box. c. Set the number of times you want to re-download files after an unsuccessful download in the Download Retry # spin box. 7. Under Outgoing Configuration, a. Select the Upload Required checkbox if you want to upload files using DiConnect Lite. b. Type the path of folder on the server you want to upload files in the Server Folder box. c. Set the number of times you want to re-upload files after an upload failure in the Upload Retry # spin box. 8. Under Archive Configuration, a. Select the Archive Required checkbox right below the Local Folder box if you want to archive files after they are uploaded, or select the Delete After Send checkbox if you want to delete files after they are uploaded. b. Select the Archive Required checkbox right below the Server Folder box if you want to archive files after they are downloaded, or select the Delete After Download checkbox if you want to delete files after they are downloaded. c. Type the name of the folder on the server you want to archive the files. d. Set the number of times you want to re-archive files after an archive failure in the Archive Retry # spin box. 9. Click the Test Connection button to test the connection to the server. 10. Click the Apply button and then click the Close button. Note: The information under General Configuration is applied to every FTP account. When you click the Apply button, configuration data will be recorded into the database and the service will be restarted. Restart requires Administrator right. Without restart, you cannot load the new configuration. Meaning of other fields Trading Partner ID: If you use both DiConnect Lite and DiTranslator, Trading Partner ID in DiConnect Lite must be the same as that in DiTranslator. Unless you use DiTranslator, Trading Partner will be treated as a folder name that contains the data of FTP accounts. 25

Root DIR: the full path that stores files. For example: C:\Program Files \DiCentral\DiConnectLite\Data. Local Folder under Incoming Configuration: folder on your computer that stores downloaded documents and bears the name Incoming. Its full path will be <Root DIR>\Data\<TradingPartner ID>\Incoming. Local Folder under Outgoing Configuration: the folder on your computer that stores temporary documents for upload process. It bears the name Outgoing. Its full path will be <Root DIR>\ Data\<Trading Partner ID>\Outgoing. Local Folder under Archive Configuration: the folder on your computer that stores uploaded documents and bears the name Archive. Its full path will be <Root DIR>\Data\<Trading Partner ID>\Archive. Note: When you rename the Trading Partner ID, the folder's name <Trading Partner ID> is changed too. To stop DiConnect Lite service Click the Stop button. Note: You can only use this function when running the program as Administrator. To start DiConnect Lite service Click the Start button. Note: You can only use this function when running the program as Administrator. To view the current status of DiConnect Lite service Click the Refresh Status button. 6.3 Deleting an FTP Account 1. Launch DiConnect Lite. 2. Select the preferred FTP account from the FTP Account dropdown list. 3. Click the Delete button. 4. In the Warning dialog, click the Yes button. 7. Viewing the Receiving Log 1. Launch DiConnect Lite. 2. Switch to the Send Log tab. 26

To clear the log 1. Select the desired Task ID(s). 2. Click the Clear Log button. To re-download documents Documents with Failed status are those that fail to be downloaded. You can download them again by performing as follows: 1. Select the preferred task ID(s). 2. Click the Receive button. To view log details Perform either of the following: Double-click the desired Task ID. Select the preferred task ID and then click the View Log Detail button. The Log Detail-Download Task ID dialog is displayed. 27

8. Viewing the Sending Log 1. Launch DiConnect Lite. 2. Switch to the Send Log tab. To clear the log 1. Select the preferred task ID(s). 2. Click the Clear Log button. To re-upload documents Documents with Failed status are those that fail to be uploaded. You can upload them again by performing as follows: 1. Select the preferred task ID(s). 2. Click the Resend button. To view log details Perform either of the following: Double-click the desired Task ID. Select the preferred task ID and then click the View Log Detail button. The Log Detail-Upload Task ID dialog is displayed. 28

Pagination Appendix DiConnect Lite breaks a long list of records in the Receive Log and Send Log tabs into manageable pages call pagination. To navigate through the pages, you can use the Navigation Bar below the list. Components The Previous The Next The First The Last button provides instant access to the previous page. button provides instant access to the next page. button provides instant access to the first page. button provides instant access to the last page. There are 2 pages in the list. The 1 st page is displayed. There are 20 records in each page. To modify the number of records on a page, type the desired number in the box. 30

Filter You can search for the tasks (documents) in the Receive Log and Send Log tabs based on date range, task ID, name of the original file and status of the task in the Filter panel. In the Filter panel, set the filter criteria and then click the Filter button. Meaning of fields Start Date and End Date: The date range in which the task(s) is(are) performed. Task ID: The ID number of the task. Original File Name: The name of the original file. Status: The status of the task you want to search. 31
