Manufacturer certification i.a.w. EN 1090-1 The new series of standards EN 1090 Parts 1 to 3 have replaced the previously applicable national standards for the manufacturing of load-bearing steel or aluminium structures in the field of construction supervision (e.g. DIN 18800-7 and DIN V 4113-3). Since 1 July 2014, only manufacturers who have been audited and certified by an independent notified body in accordance with the EN 1090-1 standard will be permitted to place load-bearing steel or aluminium structures on the EU market. TÜV SÜD Industrie Service is a notified body recognised by Germany s national approval body (Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik, DIBt) and as such is authorised to carry out assessment and certification. ASME code services The ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code is the leading internationally accepted standard for the design, manufacturing and testing of pressure equipment and components worldwide. Components built in compliance with the ASME Code are not only recognised in the USA and Canada but in another 90 or so countries. ASME certification enables companies to place their products on international markets, thus opening the door to clients operating at international level. Our authorised ASME inspectors (AIs) offer efficient support on all aspects related to the ASME Code. PED certification in conjunction with AD 2000 HP0, -W0, EN 13445, EN ISO 3834 or EN ISO 9001/PED Manufacturers of pressure equipment built in compliance with the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED 2014/68/EU) in conjunction with AD 2000 HP0 or EN 13445 and welding companies within the scope of EN ISO 3834 must prove that they have the required welding qualifications and are able to manufacture components and structures in compliance with the above codes and standards. Proof is best furnished through manufacturer certification in accordance with the above codes and standards carried out by an independent third party or notified body as per PED, for example TÜV SÜD. Within the scope of these services, we also offer verification for stamp transfer in compliance with the rules. We also offer combined system certification in accordance with the PED (module audits) and EN ISO 9001. Certification in accordance with the EN ISO 9001 standard is frequently demanded by clients. Incidentally, certification in accordance with the EN ISO 9001 standard also benefits the process and reduces the time needed for certification in accordance with the EN 1090-1 standard. Manufacturer certification i.a.w. EN 15085-2 and further services Manufacturing, design and maintenance of rolling stock and rail-vehicle components require approval in accordance with EN 15085-2, DIN 27201-6 or RID Section 6.8.2.1.23 in conjunction with EN 14025 (tank wagons). As a manufacturer certification body recognised by the German Federal Railway Authority (Eisenbahnbundesamt, EBA) and the European Committee for Welding of Railway Vehicles (ECWRV) our approvals in accordance with the relevant codes and standards facilitate access to inter national markets.
