TTENTION: To avoid an electric shock hazard, verify that the voltage on the bus capacitors has discharged before performing any work on the drive. Measure the bus voltage at the + & terminals of the Power Terminal lock. The voltage must be zero. TTENTION: HOT surfaces can cause severe burns. o not touch the heatsink surface during operation of the drive. fter disconnecting power allow time for cooling. TTENTION: This drive contains ES (Electrostatic ischarge) sensitive parts and assemblies. 2 Memory Expansion for rivelogix ontroller What You Need to o To install the memory expansion board: Step 1: Remove front cover from control assembly Step 2: Remove side cover from control assembly Step 3: Remove control assembly from drive Step 4: etermine whether to replace stacker connectors ontinue with Step 5, if stacker connector replacement is necessary Go to Step 8, if stacker connector replacement is not necessary Step 5: Remove controller and existing stacker connectors (optional based on Step 4) Step 6: Install new stacker connectors (optional based on Step 4) Step 7: Install rivelogix controller (optional based on Step 4) Step 8: Prepare rivelogix controller for memory expansion Step 9: Install memory expansion board Step 10: Install control assembly Step 11: Install side cover Step 12: Install front cover

6 Memory Expansion for rivelogix ontroller Step 4: etermining If You Need to Replace the Stacker onnectors Examine of the through-board connector on the surface of the rivelogix controller. Early production versions of the drive used Stacker onnectors with long pins that protruded past the surface of the through-board connector. These longer pins interfere with the memory expansion board, and must be replaced if the drive has them. If the drive has them, continue with Step 5: Removing the rivelogix ontroller (optional based on Step 4) on page 7. If the drive does not have them, go to Step 8: Prepare the rivelogix ontroller for Memory Expansion on page 11. If the pins do not protrude past the surface of the connector, go to Step 8: Prepare the rivelogix ontroller for Memory Expansion on page 11. If the pins do protrude past the surface of the connector, continue to Step 5: Removing the rivelogix ontroller (optional based on Step 4) on page 7.
