Introduction 1 Introduction 1.1 Printgroove POD Suite The Printgroove POD Suite is a Digital Workflow Solution that helps CRD/ reprographics departments meet the needs of increasingly demanding markets. Printgroove s modular design provides the flexibility to integrate all stages from job submission to fulfilment. Ideal for small to mid-size operations, Printgroove is an affordable solution for all your reproduction and publishing needs. Using this utility the system administrator can configure the server, control licensing and system settings and monitor reports and updates. - Printgroove POD Serve: a web service for print job submission by the external user. It also enables the external user to verify the status of the job in real-time. - Printgroove POD Guide: a process control tool. It designs the Workflow, monitors job tracking, and also handles customer account management, cost estimates and billing information. - Printgroove POD Ready: a Make Ready tool. Automatic and manual imposition, page layout and late-stage editing are all supported. - Printgroove POD Queue: a print management tool. The status and workload of discovered printers are monitored. Incoming, processing and completed jobs are routed and tracked and last-minute job ticket editing is supported. Introduction 1.2 Printgroove POD Ready Overview Printgroove POD Ready is a Windows application that is used for previewing and editing PDF documents prior to those jobs being printed by the internal (CRD/reprographics department) employee. Printgroove POD Ready can be used with the Printgroove POD Suite. Jobs can go from Serve to Guide to Ready where PDF files can be edited. Edited jobs can be sent back to Guide and then to Queue for processing. Ready may also be used to create new jobs that can be sent to Queue for processing. In this mode, jobs are managed in Queue but can be selected and edited in Ready by a simple click of a button. The Queue job opens in Ready and edits may be made, saved, and then the job returns to Queue for processing. The user may also use Printgroove POD Ready as a standalone application.
