New Features in MONITOR version 8.1 General If a user has a default filter in the PopUp feature, this filter also works in the Find-as-You-Type (FayT) feature. That is, if you have filtered out parts with status 9 (Obsolete) and blocked parts, these will also be filtered out in the Find as you Type feature. Under Customize, under the Miscellaneous tab, you will find a new option called Always copy "From" to "To" in Search Forms. This means that the value entered in the "From" column in Search Forms always will be copied to the "To" column. This will take place when you move the cursor using Tab or Enter, even if the "To" column already has a value. The setting is activated by default. Managing Holidays In the General Calendar, Non Payment Days, and Work Center Calendar procedures you now select country when creating a new year. This way the country's holidays will be loaded to the calendar. If you are working with a country not supported in MONITOR you can use the new procedure called Register Own Holidays. There you can create a set of holidays which can be selected instead of a country. When you open the procedures mentioned above, the country selected in the Company Info procedure will be suggested. The Schedule Calendars procedure has also been changed so that you can select the calendar that was created manually. Several Info Procedures Open at the Same Time It is now possible to have several windows open at the same time in the Supplier Info and Customer Info procedures with different suppliers/customers loaded. Previously this was only possible for the Part Info and Order Info procedures. Please note that this only applies to the procedures that are opened via the menu and not the linked procedures opened using for example F12. Work Center A work center code can now also include letters and the field has been increased from 4 to 8 characters. Via the new procedure called Rename Work Center you can easily enter new codes for your work centers. It is also possible to activate logging for all events concerning work centers. This is activated in the Log Selection procedure in the Global Settings module.
Measuring Data Now you can report measuring data in reporting procedures in the Manufacturing module as well as in the Recording Terminal. When you report an operation where measuring points have been registered in the Preparation procedure, a button is available with a reporting window for measuring data on the operation row in the reporting procedure. This is activated by the setting "Use measuring points in preparation and order" under Preparation in the Settings procedure. The Measuring Points procedure has been added where you can register templates for measuring data that can be used in the Preparation procedure. In the Manufacturing Order Documents procedure the setting Print measuring point has been added that can be used to show a section with Measuring data. Registered measuring data can be shown in the Report number log in the Order Info procedure as well as in the new procedure called Measuring Data List in order to print measuring data. Register Nonconformity from Material Reporting Nonconformity cases can be created automatically when you report rejects in the Operation Reporting procedure. This is activated by the setting "Register nonconformity from Material Reporting" under the Manufacturing tab in the Settings procedure. Weight Total In the Preparation procedure you will now find a field for Weight on the material rows and in the heading. On the material row you can manually enter the part's unit weight. A part that has "kg" as unit should then have 1 as weight. For the main part you can enter the weight manually or use a function in the Info menu called Add up Weight. By using this function, each row's quantity x weight will be calculated and added to this field. A new procedure has also been added called Add up Weight that can be used to perform this for a large range of parts. In this procedure you can also add up weight at several levels at the same time. You will also find a new field next to the weight field where you can set the weight as fixed. The weight will then be excluded from recalculation in the Add up Weight procedure. This is used for parts where the material is processed so that the finished product's weight is less than the raw material's weight. Form for Changed Order Confirmation In the Register Customer Order procedure you will find a new tab called Changed order confirmation. A new procedure has also been added called Print Changed Order Confirmation. Here you can re-print customer orders if new rows have been added, or if the quantity or delivery time has been modified on an existing order row. The modified rows are marked with an asterisk (*), and the initial values for the modified fields are printed below each modified order row. After the last order row, a text is printed indicating that the order has been modified. Packing List Packing List is a new procedure used to specify how a delivery is packed. In the Packing List you can create detailed packing lists with information about shipment number, container number, package size, package weight, statistical number and country of origin, etc. The packing lists are based on invoice bases and can contain several orders and different packagings. These packing lists are used during export and customs.
Place of Terms of Delivery You can now enter a place of terms of delivery in for example the Register Customer Order procedure. If a place has been entered for the customer, this will be loaded. If you want to display the place on for example Order confirmations, this is activated in the Form Settings procedure. Place of terms of delivery also applies to purchase and stock orders. Agreement Management Agreement Management has been added to the Sales and Purchase modules. This way you can register agreements electronically and search for agreements in the system. For this purpose the procedures Register Agreement - Sales, Register Agreement - Purchase and Agreement List are added. In the registration procedures you register all data regarding the agreements such as agreement rows, activities, agreement type, status, responsible, agreement time, document link and invoicing method. The agreements are also determined by user rights. This means that you can hide agreements from certain users or user groups. You can also print an internal agreement report. In this report you gather everything from the agreement's header, rows and activities. The Agreement List procedure can be used to quickly find agreements. Here you can select by Customer, Supplier, Status, Type, Last cancellation date, etc. You will also find different list types used to list the agreement's rows and activities. Buttons are added to the Supplier Info and Customer Info procedures where you will see existing agreements. New basic data is also added: A number series for agreement has been added to the Number Series procedure. A new setting is also added called "Use prefix for agreement", under the System tab in the Settings procedure. Agreement has been added to the Order Types / Prefixes procedure. A new procedure called Agreement Types has been added to the Global Settings module. This procedure is used to define different agreement types. In the Activities procedure you can register activities for agreements. CRM - Customer Relationship Management If you use Outlook you will find a setting used to log all sent quotes, customer orders, purchase orders, etc. under the CRM/SRM tab. This way you can always go back and look at a quote that you sent three weeks ago. All users, not only the affected user, can then see these e-mail messages since they are logged in MONITOR. Status 0 on Customer Orders You can now set status 0, which means Preliminary, on customer orders. The Preliminary status can be used when you do not want to rush when registering an order. When the order registration is completed you change the status to 1. An order with status 0 will not affect the requirement calculations and cannot be delivered. Under the Order window tab in the Part Info procedure you will find a new alternative in the Info menu called Show... Customer order status 0. Delivery Reliability In all places where you can calculate delivery reliability (customer orders, own operations and subcontracting operations) you will now find two new selections in the Search Forms. The first selection allows you to classify the result per order row/operation. The total quantity will then be shown on the date for the last partial delivery. The second selection is used to include rest quantity. If there are delayed order rows, these will be displayed in the list with an expected delivery today.
Filter Function in Order Windows In all order windows, such as customer order and purchase order, you will now find a filter button in the same way as in all lists. By using this button you can filter out all text rows and only show rows with amounts. You can also create a filter by right-clicking on a value in the window, in the same way as for lists. Improvements in Quote Management On the quote rows you will now find check boxes for the alternatives Create order and Exception from quote statistics. "Create order" is used if you do not want to release all rows on a quote to an actual order. In this case you will later be given the opportunity to copy the other rows to a new quote. "Exception from quote statistics" is used if you offer several variants of a product on the same quote. You can then choose, in the Quote List and Quote Statistics procedures, not to show the excepted rows to avoid too large a quote value In the Quote Statistics procedure you will now also find a total of how much of each quote that was ordered next to the order value total field. In the Quote List procedure you will now see a weighted amount which is calculated via the probability set on the quote. This is displayed when classifying by Probability. When classifying the list by Quote number, the fields Created by and Modified by are added. Check against Quote When registering a customer order, a message now appears if a valid quote exists to the customer including the part you are registering. Order without Order Rows Previously you could not view customer orders without order rows with rest quantities. Now you will find a new list type in the Order List procedure called Check order header - order rows. This list type lists all open orders without order rows or orders that have order rows with 0 as rest quantity. You will find the same list type in the Quote List procedure. Create Groups with Indirect Codes Now you can divide the indirect codes into groups. In that case, you will first select a group and then a code in the Recording Terminal procedure and other procedures where codes are selected. This will make it easier to find the correct code if you have registered many rows in your system. Deducting Sales Forecast A new procedure called Deducting Sales Forecast has been added. Orders are then matched with forecasts week by week or within a wider interval if needed. The previous deduction model made a percentage deduction from now and onward. The new deduction model makes the deduction more exactly in time. If you want to use the procedure you should deactivate the setting used for the builtin forecast deduction so that you avoid making the deduction twice. This procedure calculates the remaining forecast and saves it as a new current forecast. In order to see the initially registered forecast you can use a list type in this procedure. You will also find a selection in the Forecast List procedure.
Pick Location per Work Center If you have activated the setting to use pick locations, it is now possible to enter pick locations per work center. All material withdrawals to an operation are then mainly made against locations marked as Pick location work center and which also have a location name that coincide with what has been defined for the work center. You can, for example, register locations that you name P200, P210, P220 and mark these as Pick location per work center. For work center 200 you then enter that only locations named P200 shall be valid. Stock locations on part. New field in Update Work Center. Different Font Styles in the Purchase Module Now you can use bold, italic and underlined text on row type 4 also in the Purchase module. This applies to inquiries, purchase orders and blanket orders. Dispatch Advice The list type Dispatch advice has been renamed and is now called Advised in the Order List - Purchase procedure. A new list type has also been added called Not advised used to simplify the monitoring. Here you will see orders that have not been advised. The rows with a planned shipping date that has exceeded will be highlighted in red since they risk to be delayed.
Two changes have been made regarding several advices on the same purchase order. The first change means that you can see how much that already has been advised on each row when you report the next dispatch advice. The second change applies to the Arrival Reporting procedure where you can choose to arrival report any optional dispatch advice. Variable Receiving Inspection For both parts and suppliers you can now select "Interval" as receiving inspection instead of just selecting Yes or No. Interval means that receiving inspection shall be made on every fifth delivery, at least every 30th day, at the two deliveries closest in time or each time a new revision is created. This is highlighted in blue when working with the order. When saving, the rows that were inspected will instead be highlighted in red.
