1. Getting Started 1.1 Overview Virtalinx Real Estate (VRE) is a Virtalinx immersive application based on the Virtual Presence concept. It provides a 3D view of a Real Estate property in a web browser or in Head Mounted Display (HMD). (Example: Oculus Rift) It is incredibly easy to use and packed with lots of essential features and tools. You should be quickly signed up, managing sales, tasks, projects and ideas in no time. This User Guide helps you to understand VRE and provides you the best way to work with Virtalinx technology. You will be able to understand the basics quickly and we hope you find our product intuitive. 1.2 Types of Users Virtalinx supports the following types of users. Users Client Technician Modeler Manager Description Users who can browse models, search for models, or order new models User who produces scans of the property. See Virtalinx Operations Manual User who modifies, improves, or annotates the model of the property. See Virtalinx Operations Manual User with access to facilitate approval and verification of model through workflow. Open the browser and navigate to. Enter URL The Virtalinx Home page will be displayed. 5

3. Enter the login name that you wish to use, in the Login Name text entry box. 4. Enter the password in the Password text entry box. The password requirements are Should contain at least a character Should contain at least a number (0-9) Should contain at least one Letter (a-z) Should contain Letters, Numbers or punctuation only [! @#$^&*()-=_] 5. Re-enter the password for confirmation in the Confirm Password text entry box. 6. Enter the name of your company in the Company text entry box. 7. Enter the first name of user in the First Name text entry box. 8. Enter the last name of user in the Last Name text entry box. 9. Enter the email address in the Email Address text entry box. 10. Enter the phone number in the Phone text entry box. 11. Enter the address in the Address text entry boxes. 12. Enter the name of the city in the City text entry box. 13. Select the name of the state from the State drop down list. 14. Enter the ZIP code of the city in the Zip text entry box. 15. Select the name of the country from the Country drop down list. 16. Click the Login button. The new account at Virtalinx will be created. 1.5 Logging In to Virtalinx To log in to the Virtalinx application, after you have registered an account follow the steps given below. 1. Open your favorite browser and enter the URL for the Virtalinx application. Enter URL The Login page will be displayed. 7
User Guide 2 3 4 Click Log In 2. Enter Login id. 3. Enter Password. 4. Specify whether you wish the system to remember the password or not by checking or unchecking the Remember Me option. 5. Click the Login button. The Virtalinx VRE page will be displayed. 8
You can start exploring the options within the Virtalinx VRE application. 1.6 Retrieving Your Password If you forget the password to your Virtalinx application, you can request a new password. To do so, follow the steps given below. 1. Navigate to the Virtalinx login page. 9
User Guide Click Forgot Password 2. Click the Forgot Password link. The Email dialog will be displayed. 3 Click Send 3. Enter your email address in the Email text entry box. 4. Click the Send button. 10
The message informing you about sending of authorization data will be displayed. You will receive an email from the Virtalinx team with the details of your account along with the Username and Password. You can log in to the Virtalinx application by using the login credentials. Once you have logged in to the application, it is best to change the password. For more information, refer to Changing Password section. 1.7 Changing Your Password To change your password, follow the steps given below. 1. Navigate to the username in the top right corner of the page and select the Profile from the drop down list. Not yet available 11
1.8 Accessing Online Help 1. Open your favorite browser and enter the URL for accessing online help. Enter URL The Virtalinx VRE home page will be displayed. 2. Click the Help button. The Help page will be displayed. Not yet available 1.9 Support 12

To log out of Virtalinx, select the Log out option from the <User Name> drop down list on the top right section of the page. 13

2. Virtalinx Interface 2.1 Interface Overview and Components The Virtalinx interface gives you an easier access to modules based on the type of the logged in user. For more detailed information, you must refer to the respective section. Top Right Links Navigation Bar Work Area The components of Virtalinx interface are Navigation Bar Top Right Links Work Area 2.2 Navigation Bar 15
Depending on the type of the logged in user, the Navigation Bar provides access to the core modules of the Virtalinx application. 2.3 Top Right Links The Top Right Links provide access to configure settings, profile, billing and log out of the application. 2.4 Work Area The Work Area is the area in which you can work and explore all the modules and reports within the Virtalinx application. 16
3. Working with Models 3.1 Models Overview The Models module allows you to manage property models. In this module, you can search for models, order new models, open and run models, view details and map address, view model history and status, share models and manage billing. To manage models, follow the steps given below. 1. Navigate to the Models section. The Models page will be displayed. 17

3.2 Searching for a Model To search for a model, follow the steps given below. 1. Navigate to the Models section. The Models page will be displayed. 2 Click Submit 2. Enter the name of the model that you wish to search for in the text entry box. 3. Click the Submit button. The selected model will be displayed. 19
3.3 Ordering a Model To order a new model, follow the steps given below. 1. Navigate to the Models section. The Models page will be displayed. 20

Select the type of the property from the Property Type drop down list. The available types are Residential, Commercial, Apartment Building and Architectural. Note: For Architectural type of property, the Upload button will be displayed enabling you to upload related files. 5. Enter the address in the Address text entry boxes. 22
6. Enter the name of the city in the City text entry box. 7. Select the name of the state from the State drop down list. 8. Enter the ZIP code of the city in the Zip text entry box. 9. Select the name of the country from the Country drop down list. 10. Enter the price for the property in the Property Price text entry box. 11. Enter the total number of rooms in the property (including the bedrooms and bathrooms) in the Rooms text entry box. 12. Enter the total number of bedrooms in the property in the Bedrooms text entry box. 13. Select the number of the bathrooms from the Baths drop down list. 14. Enter the total area in square feet in the Square Feet text entry box. 15. Select the date on which the listing is required, from the Date Needed calendar. 16. If the property is not to be browsed and is a private listing, select the Private checkbox. 17. Enter the web address if any, in the HTML Page text entry box. 18. You can upload the image files related to the property by clicking the Upload button Picture field. The standard Open dialog will be displayed. 19. Select the image file that you wish to upload and click the Open button. The selected image file will be uploaded. 20. Enter the number of floors in the property, in the Floors text entry box. 21. Select the density of the property by checking the required option in the Density field. The available options are Vacant House, Some Furniture, A Lot of Furniture and Personal Items. 22. If you have a Promo Code, enter the code in the text entry box 23. The Service Charge and Estimated Model Items fields will be automatically populated. 24. Enter the default price per view in the Default-Price-Per-View text entry box. 25. Enter the comments if any, in the Comments text entry box. 26. Click the Checkout button. The payment section will be displayed. 23

For new credit card, provide the details. 28. In the Credit Card section, enter the name of the card holder in the Cardholder s Name text entry box. 29. Enter the name on the credit card in the Credit Card Number text entry box. 30. Select the date of expiry of the card from the Expiration Date fields. 31. Enter the credit card verification number in the CVV text entry box. 32. Enter the name of your company in the Company text entry box. 33. Enter the billing address in the Billing Address text entry box. 34. Specify whether you want the system to remember your credit card details not by checking or un-checking the Remember Credit Card Information text entry box. 35. Click the Proceed button. The message box providing you a set of instructions to be followed with respect to the selling or renting of your property displayed. 24
Click Close 36 36. Read the instructions carefully and then click the Close button. The order for the new model will be sent. 3.4 Navigating to Model Records To navigate to model records, follow the steps given below. 1. Navigate to the Models section. The Models page will be displayed. 25

From here, you can navigate to required model record and view its details, address or map or view 3D, VR or VPE versions of the model. 3.5 Viewing Model Details To view the model details, follow the steps given below. 1. 3.6 Viewing Map Address To view the address of a model and the related map, follow the steps given below. 1. Navigate to the Models section. The Models page will be displayed. 2. Click the Address link in the row of the model record for which you wish to view the map. The address of the property model will be displayed on the map. 28

3.7 Toggling between Map and Satellite Views While viewing the map version of the model, you can toggle between Map and Satellite views. 1. To view the model in map format, click the Map button in the map section of the model. 30

3.8 Zooming In and Out on Locations To zoom in and out on location, follow the steps given below. 1. On the Model tab, to zoom in, click the Zoom In ( ) button. The model map will be zoomed in. Click Zoom In 2. To zoom out, click the Zoom Out ( ) button. The model map will be zoomed out. 32
Click Zoom Out Note: You can also use the mouse scroll options to zoom in and zoom out on the map locations. Scroll up the mouse scroll button to zoom in and scroll down the mouse scroll button to zoom out. 3.9 Viewing Location Details on Map View/Satellite View You can view the details of a specific location based on map view. 1. On the Model tab, simply click the address ( ) icon on the Location either in Map or Satellite view. The selected location details will be displayed on a pop up screen. Location Details in Satellite View 3.10 Viewing 3D Model of a Property To view the 3D model of a property, follow the steps given below. 1. Navigate to the Models section. The Models page will be displayed. 34

3.11 Using 3D Model Controls To use the 3D model controls follow the steps given below. 1. Navigate to the Models section. The Models page will be displayed. 36

Click View Inside 3. To view inside the property model, click the View Inside ( ) button. The inside view of the model will be displayed. 38
Viewing Inside the Property Model Click View Dollhouse 4. To view the dollhouse, click the View Dollhouse ( ) button. The dollhouse view of the model will be displayed. 39
Viewing Dollhouse Model Click View Floor Plan 5. To view the floor plan, click the View Floor Plan ( ) button. The floor plan view of the model will be displayed. 40
Viewing Floor Plan Click Up 6. To zoom in the property model, scroll up the mouse or click the upper arrow. The property model will be zoomed in. 41
Click Down 7. To zoom out the property model, scroll down the mouse or click the down arrow. The property model will be zoomed out. 42
8. To view the left side of the property model, click the Left ( ) button. The left side of the property model will be displayed. 43

Click Full Screen 10. You can view the model in full screen by clicking the Full Screen ( ) button in the top right corner of the model or the Full Screen ( ) button below the model. The property model will be displayed in full screen. 45

The background screen of the model will be displayed. 3.12 Viewing Virtual Reality (VR) Model of a Property To view the VR model of a property, follow the steps given below. 1. Navigate to the Models section. The Models page will be displayed. 47

For more information, refer to the following section. Downloading Unity Web Player Once the player is downloaded, you can run the virtual reality model. 3.13 Installing the Virtual Presence Experience (VPX) Environment 48
In preparation for viewing of a property in the Virtual Presence Experience (VPX), you will need to ensure that you have the following hardware and software necessary for the VPX environment: Oculus Rift Development Kit 2 (DK2) Hardware (Head Mount Display) VPX Windows Software Environment (Microsoft.NET Framework) Oculus Rift Development Kit 2 (DK2) Drivers VPX Model of the Property (.vpx) To install the VPX Windows Runtime software that will allow the VPX Model to be viewed in the Oculus Rift DK2: 1. Navigate to the Models Screen (note: your present screen may have the links already) The Models page will be displayed. 1 Click 2. Select the VPX Windows Installer link to install the VPX Windows Software Environment which includes the proper version of the Microsoft.NET Framework (v4.5) 49

6. You can stop the play by clicking the Stop ( ) button. The model will be stopped. 3.16 Viewing Model History and Status To view the model history and status, follow the steps given below. 1. Navigate to the Models section. The Models page will be displayed. 2. Click the Details link in the row of the record for which you wish to view the history and status. 56
The details of the selected record will be displayed. 3. Below the User Data section, you can view the history and status related to the property model. Like audit trail, it shows the log details of model activities such as the status of the model, comments, date, user and duration. Field Description Example Value Status Comments Date User Duration Shows the status of the model. It can be played, model approved by modeler, processing, model approved by technician, scanning or requesting. Refers to the notes or details specific to the type of modeling run or shared by the user. Refers to the date and time stamps at which the model is played or run. 3.17 Sharing Model To share the model, follow the steps given below. 1. Navigate to the Models section. The Models page will be displayed. 2. Click the Details link in the row of the model record that you wish to share. Click Share 3. Click the Share button. 58

3.18 Manage Billing To manage billing, follow the steps given below. 1. Navigate to the username in the top right corner of the page and select the Billing from the drop down list. Click Billing The Billing page will be displayed. 60
