If you need to take a course that is not on this list, please contact visiting@hpu.edu. Our introductory courses start at level 1000. Course difficulty increases with higher codes. If you do not have a background in the field, please consider taking lower level courses. Undergraduate students cannot enroll in graduate courses and vice versa- students cannot mix levels. IMPORTANT NOTE: Visiting students cannot take courses on a military base instead, students may take courses at the Downtown and Hawaii Loa campuses. If you plan to receive government funding or your home university has specific course requirements, it is your responsibility to make sure the courses you select at HPU will be approved. Actual availability of courses may change. Since there are sometimes several schedule options for one course, you must make sure your course schedule fulfills any relevant requirements. INTERNATIONAL STUDENT GUIDELINES International students must take courses that last for the entire semester. No part-term (8A or 8B) courses will be approved All international students are required by U.S. visa regulations to be enrolled full-time: Bachelor (or undergraduate ) level minimum: 12 credits Master (or graduate ) level minimum: 9 credits International undergraduate students enrolled in 12 credits (9 credits for graduate) may take only one online course per semester Norwegian students: Lånekassen will typically not approve online or 1000 level courses, you must be enrolled in a full course load of 15 credits. 11-SEP-18 HAWAII PACIFIC UNIVERSITY P A G E 2
