Set up a PIN Code For added security, you can set up a PIN code for your TiO system. By default, the PIN code option is disabled on your TiO system. You can leave this disabled, or you can enable it. Once enabled, anyone who tries to connect to your TiO system for the first time will have to enter the PIN code before gaining access. Setting a PIN Code Follow these steps to set up a PIN code: Open the TiO app and navigate to system settings by clicking the gear in the upper right hand corner. In system settings click Configure PIN Lock. A pop-up will appear where you have the option to change the PIN code from the default or change the PIN code. The default PIN code can be found on a sticker on the back of the MC2. If you do not want to change this PIN code just click Activate. If you want to change the PIN code just type in a new PIN on the pop-up and click Activate. If for whatever reason you want to disable the PIN code simply click Deactivate on the pop-up. Resetting the PIN Code In the event that you forget your PIN code, it may be reset to the default by following the steps below: Press and hold the reset button on the back of the MC2 until the power LED blinks Release the button once the power LED blinks and wait for the MC2 to reboot. After the MC2 reboots, you will be prompted to enter a PIN code when you open the TiO Home App. You will enter the defaul PIN code on the back of the MC2. You must then follow the directions for setting up a new PIN code above.
