1. How to Read the Manual Symbols used in the Manuals The symbols used in this manual have the following meanings. Important Indicates an explanation containing important points to pay attention to, when operating the software, software services, products & restrictions or other information. Be sure to read the explanation. Notes Indicates an explanation containing information that is useful to know, i.e. a supplementary operating procedure, or other information. Reference Indicates where you can find further relevant information on other pages in the user manual. Notes The content of this manual is subject to change without notice. There may be some differences between the illustrations and explanations in this manual and your product, due to improvements or changes to the product and the services. 2. Welcome Note DICOM Director provides a gateway for sharing DICOM studies between Doctors or PACS systems, allowing seamless communication and collaboration. Below are some of the features of DICOM Director Gateway, Share and Transfer DICOM images with others in minute(s). Collaborate with Radiologists/Doctors without geographical restrictions. Eliminate Redundant Data Capture and reduce error-prone manual tasks through digital process automation Extract DICOM images from multiple sources by integrating with multiple PACS Servers, DICOM Folders, DICOM Files and DICOM ZIP Archive files. DICOM Director is a complete business solution on a subscription model. It delivers unique PACS solutions that are fully scalable and can seamlessly support DICOM standards. Important DICOM Director is NOT a medical condition diagnosis product. DICOM Director is not been approved by FDA or CE and is not intended to be used for any diagnostics purposes. 3. System Requirements Software requirements Below are the minimal software requirements Windows OS Microsoft Windows 7 Professional or higher. Microsoft.NET Framework 4.5.1 (x86 and x64) Hardware requirements Below are the minimal hardware requirements, CPU: Single Core 1 GHz (Dual Core 1.8 GHz or higher recommended) RAM: 4 GB (8 GB recommended) HD: 64 GB, database and image storage sized appropriately Bandwidth: High Speed Internet Version 1.0 Page 5 of 29

4. DICOM Director Gateway What is DICOM Director Gateway? DICOM Director Gateway is an application which allows multiple PACS sources to connect and enable the view, share and transfer of hundreds of thousands of studies in quick succession time. DICOM Director is renowned for its reliability and flexibility in various clinical environments. How DICOM Director Gateway works? Figure 1 How DICOM Director Gateway works Version 1.0 Page 6 of 29

5. Installing DICOM Director How to Install DICOM Director Gateway? Please follow below steps to install a DICOM Director Gateway: Step 1: Click on below link or copy this link and paste into your browser to download Gateway: http://www.dicomdirector.com/install/ Step 2: Find and click on [Install] button Figure 2: Download Gateway Exe or Launch Application Notes To avoid Installation issues, please ensure that your system meets the software and hardware requirements listed in the beginning of this document. Step 3: Click on the downloaded file to run the installer. Below are the ways you can find the downloaded file, In the bottom of the browser in the left hand corner of the screen Or in browsers download Figure 3: Browser Download Figure 4: Browser internal Downloads Or My Computer >> Downloads Version 1.0 Page 8 of 29

Step 4: Once DICOM Director Gateway installation has completed, login to the Gateway. If you have registered, use your credentials to Sign In to Gateway. If you have not registered, please use the left hand side of the screen to Sign Up and complete registration. Sign Up section: First Name: Enter your first name. Last Name: Enter your last name. User Name: Enter your Email ID. Your Email is your user name, so please enter a valid Email ID. Upon Successful registration, the registered User will receive Login credentials via the email ID (User Name) which was entered above. Sign In section: User Name: Your Email ID is your user name. Enter the Email ID that was used in registration. Password: Enter the associated password to login into DICOM Director Gateway. Notes If you do not remember your password, you can receive a temporary password by clicking on the FORGOT PASSWORD? link. Version 1.0 Page 9 of 29

Notes After installation has completed, the application should be active and running. If the application is not running, then click on the Gateway shortcut on your computer desktop to run the application. Important Make sure you read the DICOM Director Terms before using DD Gateway or accepting the DICOM Director terms during registration. Version 1.0 Page 10 of 29

6. DICOM Director Activities How to Configure PACS Server /Manage PACS Server(s) DICOM Director Gateway is a flexible gateway which provides an option to connect to multiple PACS servers using credentials. Please refer to the below steps to manage and configure the PACS server: Step 1: Begin DICOM Director Gateway and login to the application. Step 2: Click on Search Studies from PACS Server button ( ) available on toolbar. Step 3: Upon Clicking the Search studies from PACS button ( Search studies screen. ), the application opens the Version 1.0 Page 11 of 29

Step 4: Click on the dropdown values for PACS Location and select Add PACS server. The next screen will display, to manage PACS Servers Step 5: Provide inputs to the required fields, to configure a new PACS server. Refer to the list of parameters below, with description: Parameter Gateway Name Host/IP Address Port My AE Remote AE Description Description Enter the Gateway Name. Enter IP Address or host name of the PACS server Enter Port number. Enter AE Name i.e. Listener AE Name. Enter Remote AE Name or title of the PACS server Enter Description. This field will get populate in PACS location dropdown of the Search studies from PACS screen. Version 1.0 Page 12 of 29

Step 6: Once you have completed the PACS server configuration, you should be able to search DICOM studies on Search Studies screen. Notes If you are not able to configure a PACS server or you have configured a PACS but are not getting search results, please write to us at support@dicomdirector.com. Step 7: You can edit the PACS server details by selecting a PACS server from the above list. Searching DICOM Study(s) Step 1: Begin the DICOM Directory Gateway application and log into it. Step 2: Click on the Search Studies from PACS button ( ) on the toolbar. Step 2: On clicking Search Studies from PACS button, DD Gateway displays Search studies screen, Version 1.0 Page 13 of 29

Search Studies parameters: Parameter PACS Location Modalities Dates Filter Description This search parameter allows you to select a specific PACS to connect to and retrieve studies. By default, all modalities are selected. You can also choose a specific modality and perform a search on it. This search parameter gives you an option to quick search the studies for a specific day or date or between the date ranges. By using this option you can search on known study attributes or a specific known item about the study. Reference 1) Please refer to the List of Modalities under the Glossary section to check modalities supported by DICOM Director Gateway. 2) Please refer to the Values for Dates Search Parameter under the Glossary section to check what kind of values are available in this dropdown list and how you can apply it. 3) Please refer to the Search on Parameters under the Glossary section. Important Before applying any search parameters to search studies, ensure that you have selected the appropriate PACS Server from the PACS Location dropdown. Displays Study ID Displays the referring physician name Performing Name Physician Display performing physician Name # Images Count of Images that are available in this study Notes If you are not able to search studies or if you have issue/questions please write us at support@dicomdirector.com Step 3: Perform search studies by providing appropriate values to parameters. Application displays search result. Step 4: Once you have the list of studies, you can download the study and view it. Version 1.0 Page 15 of 29

View DICOM Study(s) To view Study(s), DICOM Director provides a built-in viewer which is easy to use. By using the DICOM Director Viewer, a user can view and share or transmit medical images. There is also the ability to preview series thumbnails. The DICOM Director viewer is compatible with almost all modalities. You can view DICOM Image(s) by using below different types: A. View DICOM Study(s) from PACS B. View DICOM Study(s) from Folder C. View DICOM Study from File(s) D. View DICOM Study from ZIP Archive File Notes If you are not able to view any studies or list of studies in DICOM Director Viewer then please write to us at support@dicomdirector.com. View DICOM Study(s) from PACS Please refer to the below steps to view the DICOM study(s) from PACS Server: Step 1: Click on Search Studies from PACS button ( ) available on toolbar. Step 2: Search the studies by selecting an appropriate PACS server. Step 3: Select the study you wish to view and double click on it to download. Version 1.0 Page 16 of 29

View DICOM Study(s) from folder Please refer to the below steps to view the DICOM study(s) from the folder: Step 1: Click on folder ( ) from toolbar or you can use keyboards shortcut Ctrl+Shift+O. Step 2: Click on Open DICOM Folder Version 1.0 Page 17 of 29

Step 3: Find and select the folder which contains the DICOM files you want to scan, click on the OK button Step 4: The process of scanning DICOM Files will start. You can browse images of the study as soon as they begin appearing in the series preview bar. Version 1.0 Page 18 of 29

View DICOM Study from file(s) Please refer to the below steps to view the DICOM file(s): Step 1: Click on folder ( ) from toolbar or you can use keyboard shortcut Ctrl+O. Step 2: Click on Open DICOM file Step 3: Browse a DICOM file that you would like to view and click on Open button Version 1.0 Page 19 of 29

View DICOM Study from ZIP archive File Please refer to the below steps to view the DICOM file from the ZIP archive file: Step 1: Click on folder ( ) from toolbar or you can use keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+Z. Step 2: Click on Open ZIP File Step 3: Find and select a ZIP Archive file that you would like to view and click on Open button Version 1.0 Page 20 of 29

Share DICOM Study(s) or DICOM file(s) Please refer to the below steps to share the study(s) or DICOM file(s), Step 1: Begin DICOM Director Gateway application and Log In. Step 2: Click on Search Studies from PACS Server button ( ) available on toolbar. Step 3: Perform search studies by selecting an appropriate PACS Server. Step 4: After getting the search result from the PACS Server, select the study and double click on it to view it in the DICOM viewer (You can also upload the DICOM Studies or DICOM Files in DICOM Viewer by using Folder ( ) option available on toolbar). Step 5: Click on the Share ( or DICOM File(s). ) button available on toolbar to share the DICOM Study Version 1.0 Page 21 of 29

Important If you are not able to see the Share ( ) button on DICOM Viewer Screen or not able to share the study, please write to us on support@dicomdirector.com. Step 6: Enter values in required parameters carefully. Below are the parameters and its definition: Parameter Dr. Name to share Dr. Email ID Mobile # Information Anonymize Image(s) Description Enter the name of the Radiologist or Doctor (the target) to whom you are sharing the medical image(s) or study. This is a required field Enter the valid Email ID of the Radiologist or Doctor (the target) to whom you are sharing the medical image(s) or study. It is important to enter a valid Email ID, as the Doctor with whom you are sharing will receive an email with a link to view the shared medical image(s) or study in the DICOM Director viewer. This is a required field. Enter the phone number of the Radiologist or Doctor (the target) to whom you are sharing the medical image(s) or study. It is important to enter a valid phone number, as the Doctor with whom you are sharing will get a One Time Password (OTP) on their cell phone to view the shared medical image(s) or study. This is required field. Default PIN is set to 9999 for beta testing. You can additional info. Select this checkbox if you do NOT want to share patient information. Version 1.0 Page 22 of 29

Allow Image to Download Select this checkbox if you do NOT want the intended target to download the shared DICOM file(s) or Study. Step 4: Once you have entered values in all required fields, click on share button. DICOM Director will begin the process to share the selected file(s) or study with the target doctor. How to View a Shared Study Please refer to the below steps to view the shared study: Step 1: Once a Study has been shared with a target radiologist/doctor, the target radiologist/doctor receives an email and PIN on their phone to view the file. Step 2: The target radiologist/doctor must view the email that has been sent from DICOM Director Services. Step 3: Click on viewer.dicomdirector.com link from the email. Upon clicking this link, the login screen for the DICOM Director viewer will open in the browser. Version 1.0 Page 23 of 29

The target radiologist/doctor must enter their valid Email ID and the PIN that was sent to them in order to view the shared images or Study. Email ID: Enter the Email ID of the target radiologist/doctor PIN: Enter the PIN that the target radiologist/doctor received on his/her phone. Step 4: Click on Submit button after entering a valid Email ID and PIN. Step 5: On Successful authentication, the target radiologist/doctor is able to view the study that has been shared with him/her. Version 1.0 Page 24 of 29

Transfer DICOM Study(s) /File(s) Please refer to the below steps to transfer a study from one PACS server to another PACS Server, Step 1: Begin the DICOM Director Gateway application and Log In. Step 2: Click on Search Studies from PACS Server button ( ) available on toolbar. Step 3: Perform search studies by selecting appropriate PACS Server. Step 4: After getting a search result from the PACS Server, select the study and double click on it to view in the DICOM viewer (You can also upload the DICOM Studies or DICOM Files in DICOM Viewer by using Folder ( ) option available on toolbar). Step 3: Click on the Transfer ( DICOM File(s) or DICOM Study(s). ) button available on the toolbar to transfer the Version 1.0 Page 25 of 29

Parameter PACS Location None option button Prefix option button Postfix option button Anonymize Image(s) Description Click on the dropdown option to select a PACS sever (target PACS) where you want to transfer the selected medical image or whole study. If you want to transfer a Study as it is then select the None option button. This is the default option. If you want to transfer a study with an added prefix identification, then use this option button. If chosen, you can add a prefix to the Patient ID and Patient Name fields. If you want to transfer a Study with an added Postfix identification, then use this option button. If chosen, you can add a Postfix to the Patient ID and Patient Name fields. Select this checkbox if you do NOT want to Transfer patient information. Step 4: Click on the Transfer button to begin the Transfer process. Version 1.0 Page 26 of 29

Notes If the intended target PACS server is not listed in the PACS Location dropdown, you can add the PACS server by selecting Add PACS server value from the dropdown. Notes The Transfer from and to PACS Servers cannot be the same values. You can NOT transfer a selected study from within the same PACS server. Step 5: On successful transfer you will get an email notification from the DICOM Director Gateway. Important If you are not able to see the [ ] button on DICOM Viewer or not able to transfer a study, please write to us at support@dicomdirector.com Version 1.0 Page 27 of 29
