The McAfee Stack upgrade of Postgres version is upgraded to 9.3.19.17240 that contains fix for vulnerabilities CVE-2016-5423 and CVE-2016-5424. The McAfee Stack upgrade of CSE version is upgraded to 4.8.9011.0. (1217273) On-demand scan fails to start due to the failure of folder list to get populated. (1191373) On-demand scan status shows as incomplete even though the scan is complete. To use this hotfix, you must have McAfee Security for Microsoft SharePoint 3.5 with HF1134987 installed on the computer you intend to update. This hotfix does not work with any earlier versions of the software. Uninstallation of this hotfix is not supported. To remove this hotfix and revert to the original setup, you must reinstall the McAfee Security for Microsoft SharePoint 3.5 software followed with HF1134987 installation. s Install the hotfix on standalone systems on page 3 Install the hotfix on standalone servers. Install the hotfix using McAfee epo on page 3 Install the hotfix on managed servers using McAfee epo. Verify the installation on page 3 After installation, verify whether the hotfix is applied correctly. 2
Install the hotfix on standalone systems Install the hotfix on standalone servers. Before you begin Close all McAfee Security for Microsoft SharePoint administration consoles running on the server or on any management console. 1 Log on to the system as an administrator. 2 Extract the files from the hotfix package MSMS35HF1217273.ZIP to a temporary directory. 3 Extract MSMS35HF1217273.EXE from the MSMS35HF1217273_for_Standalone.ZIP package. 4 Run MSMS35HF1217273.EXE. The hotfix displays a wizard and generates a SUPERDAT.LOG file (located in the folder where the hotfix has been executed from), where it lists all actions taken. Install the hotfix using McAfee epo Install the hotfix on managed servers using McAfee epo. 1 Extract MSMS35HF1217273_for_EPO.ZIP from the hotfix package to the C:\Temp directory of your McAfee epo computer. 2 Log on to the McAfee epo server as an administrator. 3 Select Menu Software Master Repository. 4 Select Actions Check In Package, then add the hotfix package. 5 Click Next. The Package Options page appears with the package information, then click Save. 6 Create a task to schedule an immediate update using the Product Update option from the New Client Assignment tab. 7 Select McAfee Security for Microsoft SharePoint HF1217273 3.5.0 under Patches and Service packs, then run the wake-up agent. During the installation, if some files are locked, system reboot is required. If.1 extension files are available under <MSMS install directory>\bin folder, reboot the system. Verify the installation After installation, verify whether the hotfix is applied correctly. 3
