Firmware Dwnlad Anybus X-gateway Mdbus-TCP 4 Step-by-Step Guide This guide will prvide the necessary infrmatin needed t update the firmware in the Anybus X-gateway Mdbus-TCP, presented in a step-by-step frmat. Prir t setup, please cntact HMS supprt t btain the apprpriate firmware upgrade package fr yur prduct. 1) Dwnlad and install the Firmware Dwnlad TP tl. It is available fr dwnlad at www.anybus.cm. T find the latest versin, click Supprt. Then chse Supprt tls and Firmware upgrade tls. 2) Cnnect and pwer up the X-gateway. 3) Start the prgram. The first time the prgram is started, the interface (prduct family) may need t be specified. In the list, chse Anybus X-gateway Mdbus-TCP. The main windw f the Firmware Dwnlad TP tl lks like belw: 4) Chse Firmware under Prgram Mde. 5) Select the Settings Inf menu tab. This tab shws the current settings f the Firmware Dwnlad TP. These settings will be remembered by the tl between sessins. The screensht abve shws the crrect settings fr the Anybus X-gateway Mdbus-TCP. If the settings are crrect, prceed t step 8. If nt, cntinue with step 6. 6) Click n menu item Settings and chse Change Interface. Select Anybus X-gateway Mdbus- TCP in the list. HMS Industrial Netwrks AB Page 3 (5)
Firmware Dwnlad Anybus X-gateway Mdbus-TCP 7) Click n menu item Settings and chse Change Path. In the windw that appears, click Create. Select menu tab Serial. Highlight ptin COM-Prt Transprt Prvider. Click Ok. Name the path (fr example, Mdbus-TCP path ). Select the COM-Prt number. (If the COM-Prt number is nt knwn, fllw the instructins belw). Open the Cntrl Panel and find the Device Manager. Expand the item Prts (COM & LPT) as shwn belw. Amng the expanded subitems, find the line labelled Anybus X-gateway Mdbus- TCP. The COM-Prt number will be fund t the right f the label, in brackets. Select the same number in the COM-Prt number list f the Firmware Dwnlad TP tl. A fully specified path has been cnfigured. Firmware Dwnlad Anybus X-gateway Mdbus-TCP 8) Chse the menu item File and then Lad. Find the apprpriate firmware file in the brwser and click Open (The firmware file frm HMS supprt will have file extensin.fwp ). 9) Back in the main windw, press the buttn Start. The message Waiting fr ABX t be bted will appear at the bttm f the windw. 10) Pwer cycle (turn it ff and turn it n) the X-gateway t start the dwnlad f the new firmware. 11) After the firmware dwnlad is cmplete, restart the X-gateway fr the changes t take effect. The X-gateway will finish the firmware dwnlad by executing a factry reset. When finished, the GW LED will alternate between green and red, indicating Missing cnfiguratin.
