Sharp Remote Device Manager SIMPLE, CENTRALISED MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT Productivity starts with simplicity /This is Why we re making our MFPs easier to manage.
Optimise your device management We know you rely on MFPs /This is Why you can depend on Sharp. Your printers, copiers and Multi-Functional Printers (MFPs) are in use all day, every day. No other office equipment is more widely shared. So any downtime is disproportionately expensive and inconvenient. The simple fact is that empty paper drawers, toner shortages, paper jams, mis-feeds and other service interruptions all destroy workgroup productivity. That means you need a strategy for keeping everything moving as smoothly as possible. And that s where we come in. We have drawn on decades of experience to develop Sharp Remote Device Manager (SRDM) - one of our suite of Optimised Software Solutions - which makes managing your MFPs as easy and efficient as possible. Manage the entire fleet from your desk Whether you have just one of our MFPs or a fleet of hundreds, SRDM will give you total control, right from your desktop. The benefits are clear and immediate; interruptions are avoided, downtime is minimised and productivity is increased across every workgroup in your company. And because you get all the information you need to keep things running at optimum efficiency, your business will benefit from reduced support overheads and a superior return on investment. MANAGE MFPs EASILY AND EFFICIENTLY 2

And they ll also have real-time control over your entire fleet of SNMP-compliant MFPs - even those which weren t made by Sharp*. Web page-enabled device management A web page gives all users everything they need to monitor, manage and control their preferred MFPs. Advanced status reports and email alerts As well as getting reports on the operational status of every MFP, you can opt to receive email alerts when a machine requires human intervention. INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY: GET TOTAL MFP CONTROL DIRECTLY FROM YOUR DESKTOP *Some non-sharp MFPs may have restricted functionality 3
Sharp Remote Device Manager Technology should never get in your way /This is Why we make everything easier. Sharp Remote Device Manager speeds up the installation and configuration of Sharp MFPs and helps you to keep them running smoothly. Simply install it on your file server for complete, real-time control of your MFP fleet through a standard web browser. Error-reporting, technical support, driver installation, printer configuration - everything is easier and more accessible. Effortless device management SRDM makes it quick and easy to deploy Sharp MFPs. Simply set up the first one, clone its system and web settings and then transfer the configuration to each additional machine. For extra convenience, you can edit the settings before transferring them. Flexible viewing options let you see exactly the information you want, by individual machines or custom-defined groups; including model, location, configuration settings, operational status, and more. DEVICE CLONING ENSURES CONVENIENCE AND SIMPLICITY FLEXIBLE VIEWING ALLOWS YOU TO SEE THE INFORMATION YOU WANT 4
Remote Access Control & Web Page Interruptions cost money /This is Why we help you stay productive. Even the finest printers and MFPs need looking after. Toner and paper need topping up from time to time. They need routine servicing. Overuse can lead to reliability problems. Remote Access Control The Remote Access Control feature saves time and effort while minimising downtime by letting your support staff remotely view and control the MFP s control panel. The technician simply opens a web browser and either fixes the problem directly or gives step-by-step guidance to the user. Web page-enabled device management Simply load the home page from your web browser, anywhere on the network, for immediate access to everything you need to manage your printers and MFPs. You ll get an at-a-glance view of the status of each machine, and its location, and you ll be able to review and respond to status alert messages. Plus, you can control scanning destinations and configure network cards, access rights and passwords: all through an intuitive, password-protected interface. SRDM also records a wide range of useful information about each machine, such as its name, model, location, IP and MAC address, and usage statistics, making it easy to work out which MFPs are being under-or over-used. REMOTE ACCESS CONTROL CONTROL AND CONFIGURE YOUR MFPs FROM YOUR WEB PAGE 5
Status Reports, Email Alerts & Printer Status Monitor We know you re busy /This is Why we help you work quickly. Advanced status reports and email alerts As well as getting regular reports about the operational status of each of your printers and MFPs, you or a designated team member can opt to receive email alerts when a particular action is required, such as topping up the paper or toner. These alerts are great for maintenance and servicing, too, because you can have them transmitted directly to your service provider, together with a detailed history that describes each event in terms of date, type, paper size and job mode. Sharp Printer Status Monitor Sharp Printer Status Monitor lets users check the status of their preferred MFPs without leaving the desk before they start a job, eliminating uncertainty and delays. Machine availability, the level of toner in each cartridge, the available quantities and sizes of paper - it s all there. You can even look at the configuration details to find out which finishing options have been installed. In many cases, the engineer will be able to diagnose the fault even before he visits your site. SEND OR RECEIVE AUTOMATIC STATUS REPORTS AND EMAIL ALERTS VIEW THE STATUS OF YOUR MFP WITHOUT LEAVING YOUR DESK 6
