1. INTRODUCTION TO SAFILONET Safilonet is an internet tool used by the Sàfilo Group which offers an advanced service for sales organisation and our optical clients. Safilonet implements regular commercial activities without altering the strong operational habits established between Sàfilo and its customers. In addition, Safilonet offers: Service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week An always up-to-date catalogue Focus on our Best-Sellers and new products The latest Sàfilo News An advanced Search Engine The possibility to download catalogues and price lists A record of your orders placed A help-desk service available Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 17.30. 3

1.1 HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE The Safilonet website (including the various files of which it consists) can be traced back to a web server, this is a computer which provides centralised services for other computers (clients). Access to the site is activated through connecting your computer to the web server via the internet, therefore there is no need for the client to install any programs. To enter Safilonet and browse the site, it is necessary to observe the following criteria: Type of computer: PC or Mac (you can also access the site from an iphone) Operating system: At least Windows 98 Browser: Internet Explorer (at least the latest version, best from version 8 and above); for other browsers (e.g. Firefox) it should work with all versions. 1.2 USERNAME AND PASSWORD Your username and password will be sent by Sàfilo to an email address which you must provide to us. You must keep your username and password private as you are responsible for all activites carried out under your username. Once you have logged in for the first time with the password given to you in the e-mail, you will be taken to a page where you will be prompted to create your own password. The system will automatically ask you to change your password every 365 days. Your password can be made up of letters, numbers or a combination of both. It must contain maximum eight characters and all letters must be in lower case. Your username should always be written in upper case. 1.3 ADVICE ON USING THE SITE Up-to-date pages: The collections present in the online catalogue and the status of orders placed are regularly updated through an exchange of data between Safilo s internal system and the web server. As a result, it is of great importance that you always consult the most recent information available. For this reason, it is paramount that you regularly clear your browsing history relating to temporary files and cache. When the user connects to a site that they have already visited, the browser checks in its cache memory if the elements it must download are already there. If they are already present in the cache memory, it will read the informaton from the cache memory instead of downloading it from the internet. This speeds up the time taken to load the page, but with the risk that the information displayed will not be up to date. The time it takes to load a page depends on a variety of factors, it is important to know: The speed of your internet, and the speed available in your area. The internet service provider (ISP) being used, its settings and the quality of service it offers. Your browser settings. As previously stated, the cache memory will speed up the time it takes to load a page yet it does not guarantee that you will see the most up-to-date information. 4

1.4 CONTENT VISIBILITY The visibility of content on the site depends on the web status which is set for the customer on the Safilo customer database system There are two types of visualisation: 1. Catalogues and orders 2. Catalogues only The web status needed to visualise only the catalogues does not forsee the use of services related to placing orders. To request to change your web status you can contact Sàfilo via the e-m@il button on the website or by phoning our Customer Contact Centre. 1.5 SERVICES INCLUDED E-commerce: Catalogue of products and prices, order management, information about the status of orders and shipments. Marketing and Communications: News on current collections, plus technical and commercial information regarding Sàfilo products. Advanced search engine: Numerous search filters to find the desired product. 5
