Huawei Universal Transport Solution for Urban Rail Transit
Urban Rail Transit: Fast, Convenient, Secure, and Environment-Friendly Urban rail transit is an important part of urban public transport systems. It is fast, convenient, secure, and environment-friendly. Urban rail transit requires a dedicated communication system for daily operation management, maintenance, and vehicle dispatch. The communication system also provides information services for passengers. Challenge 1: Fast Growth in Video/Data Services Requires 20G to 30G Bandwidth Video surveillance is becoming increasingly recognized in rail transport, providing comprehensive security and protection. Single HD camera: 6 8 Mbit/s 4 times the bandwidth of a SD camera Protection for tunnels and viaducts New video surveillance requirements More IT-based services are being applied. Real-time monitoring to maintain safety and stability Dense surveillance camera deployment at railway stations Video service backup and disaster recovery Burst traffic requirements Public system services are rapidly increasing. Refined maintenance system Improving operation quality Subway Wi-Fi for better passenger experience Shift video conference Higher work efficiency Fast 4G services, improving passenger satisfaction Private bank and store service, adding value to subway commercial services Challenge 2: Different Interfaces for Both and IP Services Dispatching E1 CCTV Telephone FXO/FXS/E1 PIS SCADA TETRA RS232/V.24/E1 E1 service Unified bearer IP service Video conference OA 2G base station N*E1 AFC Challenge 3: High Security and Reliability Requirements Dispatching Telephone CBTC Tube Tube Tube Radio Signaling system Ticketing Office computer Bank ATM information network Production service systems, such as the dispatching system, provide high reliability. The protection switching time is less than 50 ms. CBTC requires the transport network to provide independent end-to-end physical channels and support dual-feed and selective receiving. Sensitive ticketing information, office computer network, and bank ATM should be reliably isolated, and the information interference should be low. Different service systems should not affect each other.
Huawei Universal Transport Solution for Urban Rail Transit Huawei universal transport solution for urban rail transit combines MSTP and MPLS-TP packet technologies to provide both and packet services on one device. The solution also provides E2E IEEE 1588v2 time synchronization for the evolution to LTE train-ground wireless communication. The solution uses a unified switching architecture at its core to ensure the security and reliability of urban rail transit and support the evolution to packet-only networks. MPLS-TP ring protection ensures reliable and efficient transmission of PIS multicast services. PIS server Daisy chain + ring protection Broadcast services Blocking point Service blocking points are created on ring networks to prevent broadcast storms. Link Fault Node Fault PIS server Unblocking point fault Daisy chain + ring protection PIS server Unblocking point Daisy chain + ring protection fault Broadcast services Broadcast services Prevention of broadcast storm Broadcast storm is prevented through service blocking points on the ring network. Simple and efficient forwarding Multicast/Broadcast packets require the same bandwidth as unicast packets, saving bandwidth. Hardware line rate and MAC address forwarding ensure the lossless transmission of PIS live streaming. Prevention of multiple types of failure The failover time is less than 50 ms to protect services from faults on links or nodes on ring networks.
