If I start a call on the AT&T 3G MicroCell device and leave my home, does the call continue uninterrupted? How about billing?

A. Yes, calls seamlessly transfer from the AT&T 3G MicroCell device to the strongest AT&T cell tower signal. Billing will continue based on the initial connection being placed on the AT&T 3G MicroCell device. For example, if you have an Unlimited MicroCell Plan, your Unlimited MicroCell Plan rates will continue to apply. Q. Will my device work in areas of strong coverage (4 or 5 bars)? A. The AT&T 3G Microcell is intended for sale and use in areas and homes with poor wireless signal strength. Use of the device in areas with strong wireless signal strength is not recommended. A strong wireless signal may interfere with the Microcell device resulting in call set up failure or dropped call. Q. Should I use my 3G MicroCell for data instead of Wi-Fi? A. No. Whenever available, Wi-Fi should always be used for data applications like streaming video, downloading files, or surfing the web. Wi-Fi is the optimal solution for home mobile data use, and doesn't count against your mobile data usage bucket. Visit www.att.com/wifiaccess for tips on setting up and using Wi-Fi. When using 3G data services through your 3G MicroCell instead of Wi-Fi, standard data rates apply. Q. My iphone continues to display AT&T M-Cell when I'm on a call and leave the range of the MicroCell, is that OK? A. Yes, this does not affect the call and is a known limitation of the iphone. Q. When I dial a 7 digit number using the 3G MicroCell, I get a message the number cannot be completed as dialed. Does the 3G MicroCell support 7 digit dialing? A. 3G MicroCell requires 10 digit dialing for domestic calls in most areas. Back to Top Billing Q. Do I get detailed billing on calls made over my AT&T 3G MicroCell device? What if I have the AT&T Unlimited MicroCell Calling? A. If you currently have call detail billing, all calls will continue to have call detail available as usual. Q. Do I need to subscribe to an AT&T Unlimited MicroCell Calling feature? A. No. While highly recommended for maximum benefit, a subscription to AT&T Unlimited MicroCell Calling is not required. Your normal wireless from AT&T minute plan rates will apply.

Q. I have a FamilyTalk plan with four additional numbers on my account. If I buy an AT&T 3G MicroCell device, are the additional numbers automatically added to the Unlimited MicroCell Calling? A. You must subscribe to Unlimited MicroCell Calling to receive unlimited domestic calling minutes. AT&T Unlimited MicroCell Calling is available for single lines or multiple lines on an account like FamilyTalk, covering all 3G phones on your account. This is in addition to your 3G MicroCell device purchase. You must add all your lines to the Approved User List to provide access to your 3G devices. Q.
