User manual of STYLE WiFi Connec7on and Opera7on of imos STYLE app (ios & Android version) 1
Welcome page First, make sure your phone is connected to your WiFi network The first 7me you set up a STYLE, the mobile device will show this welcome page when you open the imos STYLE app. Please touch the screen to enter into the sejng page. imos STYLE app can be downloaded from Apple Store and Google Play by searching imos STYLE. 2
WiFi connec7on ANer entering into the app, please select WiFi page on the upper right corner for WiFi connec7on. Do not enter any informa7on yet. 3
WiFi connec7on (mobile device) When entering into WiFi page make sure your mobile device is already connected to your WiFi network. Enter your WiFi password (max. 15 characters). Make sure not to press SEND before the procedure in the next page is done. 4
WiFi connec7on (light fixture) 1. Before the STYLE is connected to your WiFi, the panel will show a sta7c green light on the power indicator and a blinking blue light on WiFi indicator. 2. Sequen7ally press "1-1- 2-2- 3" on the panel. The panel will show three blinking lights on M1 to M3 indicators. The STYLE is then ready to receive the password broadcasted from the mobile device. 3. Press SEND bu\on on your mobile device to send out the password to the STYLE. 4. Once the STYLE receives the password, you will hear a beep and the STYLE will automa7cally turn off & on again. 5. When the STYLE restarts itself again, the WiFi indicator will temporarily show a blinking blue light and then change to sta7c blue light (you may need to wait 3 to 30 secs depending on the WiFi signal strength) when the STYLE is connected to the router. 5
WiFi connec7on (light fixture) As long as the STYLE receives the password (as per the previous page), press the STOP bu\on (for ios version) or CANCEL bu\on (for Android version) on the screen to stop broadcas7ng. Close the app completely and restart it again to refresh the connec7on status. * DO NOT JUST HIT THE PHONE S HOME BUTTON, ACTUALLY CLOSE DOWN THE APP COMPLETELY * Android version ios version 6
WiFi connec7on (mul7ple units) When you have more than one STYLE unit, you need to connect mul7ple units by following the procedures below: 1. Choose one of the STYLE units to be the primary master unit. This primary master unit has to be connected to the router directly. (please check the instruc7on in page 3 to page 6.) 2. Sequen7ally press 3-3- 2-2- 1 on the panel of the master unit to ac7vate the broadcas7ng of connec7on informa7on to the nearby slave units. The indicators M1 to M3 will appear blinking green lights at this status. 3. Choose one of the STYLE units as a slave unit, and sequen7ally press 3-3- 2-2- 2 to receive the connec7on informa7on from the master unit. 4. The slave unit will beep and automa7cally turn off and on again when it receives the connec7on informa7on and connects to the master unit. The WiFi indicator will then appear sta7c blue light. 5. Choose another STYLE unit as a slave unit and repeat Step. 3 to connect it to the master unit. 6. When all the slave units are connected to the master unit, make sure to unplug the power cord of the master unit and wait 5 secs to plug it again. Open the app when the master unit is connected to router (WiFi indicator appears sta7c blue light). Note 1. One major master unit can connect up to three slave units. Each slave unit can become secondary master unit to connect to another four slave units. The connec7on method is the same as Step. 2 to 4. Note 2. The whole communica7on system is like a branching structure. The primary master unit connected directly to the router is responsible to pass the signals and commands from the mobile device to the downstream slave units. Note 3. When replacing a new router, the connec7on between the slave unit to its master unit s7ll exists. The only thing you need to do is to rebuild the connec7on between the primary master unit to the new router. As long as the mobile device connects to the new router as well, you can simply program and control all units as usual. 7
Welcome page Go back into the Syle App * Make sure not to touch the screen to enter into the sejng page this 7me or you may cause the Style not to fully connect to your router. * When the WiFi setup in the previous pages is done, the mobile device will show the welcome page when you open the app. The system will refresh the connec7on status between the mobile device, light fixture(s), and router while this page is loading and then automa7cally enter into the sejngs page. When the Style and router fully connect, the app will automa7cally enter into Instant show page. 8
Instant show Choose light fixture (all units or one unit) Choose LED cluster (single or mul7ple) The icon of the LED cluster shows green when it is seleted. The light color and intensity of the cluster(s) can be edited by sliding the bars representa7ve of three channels. To preserve the sejng values of certain cluster(s) while edi7ng the other cluster(s), simply uncheck the cluster(s) before you select the other cluster(s). Channel programming Each LED cluster is composed of three channels which represent different colors or spectra. Each channel can be fine tuned from 0% to 100% to define its intensity. The light fixture will respond simutaneously when sliding the bar(s). 9
Load Save Display Update Call Light sejng In Light sejng page, there are several func7onal bu\ons and two subpages for detailed sejngs: Call: Press to call the light (in the middle of screen). The light will blink to respond your call. Program sejng Effect sejng Program sejng: Under this subpage, you can press the cluster(s) to change the program number. Hold the cluster icon to enter into program sejng page. Effect sejng: Under this subpage, you can program shining cloud and lightning effects. Save: Press to save the light sejngs to your mobile device. Load: Press to load the sejngs previously saved in the mobile device. Update: Press to send the sejngs from the mobile device to all the light fixtures connected. Display: Press to view your current 24 hour ligh7ng cycle in a quick 30 second preview 10
Light sejng (name the fixture) Holding the fixture icon shown in the middle of screen allows you to name the fixture. 11
Light sejng (save and load) Press save or load bu\ons to enter into the pages below: In this page, the file will be saved to the mobile device under the fixture name in first priority. Users can also save as another file name by entering a different name. To delete the file, press the cross icon on the right. In this page, the files previously saved in the mobile device can be found in the list. Users can choose the file and press Load to apply the sejngs to the fixture. To delete the file, press the cross icon on the right. 12
Light sejng (shining clouds) Press Effect sejng bu\on to enter into this page. (1) Define moving direc7on There are four moving direc7ons. Press one of the arrows to define the moving direc7on. Press the cloud icon on the len to instantly check the effect prior to saving. 1 2 3 (2) Define sequence When there are mul7ple units, you can define the sequence of each unit for execu7ng the shining cloud effect. You can choose a number for the unit shown in the middle and let the units run the effect one aner the other according to the sequence you assign. You can also assign the same sequence number to mul7ple units to make them a group so these units with the same sequence number will run the effect at the same 7me. When the sejngs are done and saved, make sure to press Update bu\on on the upper right corner to apply the sejngs to the light fixture(s). 13
Light sejng (lightning) Press Effect sejng bu\on to enter into this page. Define the frequency Lightning can appear randomly within the day. You can decide the frequency by sliding to Low, Med, and High or simply choose None to stop execu7ng this effect within the program. When the op7on is decided, press Update bu\on on the upper right corner to apply the sejng to the light fixture. 14
Program sejng Load Start Save In Program sejng page, there are several func7onal bu\ons and two subpages for detailed sejngs: Display Program number: Press to change the number of the program you want to edit. There are totally 6 programs (P1 to P6) for op7on. Program number Auto scheduling Time sejng: Under this subpage, you can edit the 7me as well as the light changing model of the 7me ball selected. Channel sejng: Under this subpage, you can edit the intensity of each channel. Time sejng Channel sejng Auto scheduling: Press to automa7cally arrange the sequence of the 7me balls according to the 7me assigned to each ball. Save: Press to save the light sejngs to your mobile device. Load: Press to load the sejngs previously saved in the mobile device. Display: Press to promptly check the light change within a day of the program selected in a short period of 7me. 15
Program sejng (7me sejng) Choose a 7me ball to enlarge for detailed sejngs. Press Time sejng bu\on to enter into this page (1) Define 7me Each 7me ball is mainly composed of three func7onal sejngs: (1) 7me, (2) light changing model, (3) channel intensity. Under this subpage, you can first define the 7me to execute the sejngs of the ball selected. Hr. Min. Sec. Light changing model (2) Define light changing model ANer defining the 7me, you can press the bu\on on the right of Sec. to change the light phasing style. When it shows, this means the light will change seamlessly to the spectrum of the next 7me ball. When it shows, it means the light will change abruptly to the status of the next 7me ball. Think of these as slow natural dimming to a more step down dimming cycle. 16
Program sejng (channel sejng) Choose a 7me ball to enlarge for detailed sejngs. Press Channel sejng bu\on to enter into this page Define channel intensity Each 7me ball can have its own ligh7ng status. A ligh7ng status is composed of lights from three channels. In each channel bar, the intensity can be edited from 0% to 100% by sliding the balls A, B and C to certain posi7ons. The light fixture responds simutaneously when you slide the balls. This allows you to know dis7nctly what the light looks like under that sejng value(s). A program is always composed of 12 7me balls. You need to thoroughly edit 12 7me balls to complete the whole program sejng. When the sejngs are completed, press save the sejngs to the mobile device. Then press bu\on to bu\on in Light sejng page to update the sejngs to the light fixture(s). 17

Users can also save as another file name by entering a different name. To delete the file, press the cross icon on the right.
