Formatting Cells You can edit specific cells in a sheet. 1. 2. Open a spreadsheet. Double click the cell you want to format a section of and highlight the content you want to change. 3. Sorting Numbers & Organizing Data 1. 2. 3. 4. Highlight the group of cells you'd like to sort. To select the entire sheet, click the top left corner of the sheet. Click Data --> Sort range. If your columns have titles, click Data has header row. Click Sort. Your range will be sorted. 6

Using Formulas & Functions 1. 2. 3. Open a spreadsheet. Type an equal sign (=) in a cell and type in the function you want to use. A function help box will be visible with the definition and an example. 7

In the "Recommendations" tab, choose a chart style. For more options, click Chart types. To edit your chart, click Customization. To create the chart, click Insert. 9

In the box that appears on the right, take an action: Add a description (optional). To protect a range, click Range. To protect a sheet, click Sheet. Click Set permissions or Change permissions. 11

Publishing & Sharing 1. 2. 3. 4. Click the File menu. Select Publish to the Web. While the entire file will be published, some file types have more publishing options: Spreadsheet: Choose to publish the entire spreadsheet or individual sheets. You can also choose a publishing format (web page,.csv,.tsv,.pdf,.xlsx,.ods). Click Publish. 12
