This content can be viewed anonymously, without logging into the community. However, once the user attempts to interact with the content by liking, rating, or commenting, they will be prompted to register or log in to the community. 4 P U B L I C Release Highlights

Anonymous user access Browse public community As a user, when you search for public communities or its content on the web by using a search engine like Google, you can view the communities content without being logged into communities. Note As an anonymous user, you will not be able to view the names of content authors. If you try to interact (for example, like, comment, or rate content) with the content, you will be redirected to log in or register for Communities. Access to public groups is also limited to view only. The company administrator can configure a number of fields to display on your profile. Please refer to the Configure Registration and Upgrade Forms topic in the SAP Cloud Platform Identity Authentication Service Operation Guide for a complete list. When you register as a new user, you will be prompted to enter information for your profile. For example: First Name Last Name E-mail Password (and confirm new password) Company Job Function You will then receive an email notification from Communities, prompting you to activate your account by clicking on a link for the group's landing page. After you create a display name (and optionally upload a photo or avatar to help other users recognize you and your contributions), you can interact with the group content. Search engine optimization To enable users to find public communities content on the web, as a community administrator, you must first configure the community to be visible to search engines. In the Admin console under Product Setup Search Engine Configuration, you can set meta tags for Google, Bing, and Baidu search engines. You can also include a title and description for the community home page. For more information on Bing and Baidu configuration, please contact your SAP Jam Communities support team. Release Highlights P U BL IC 5

Self-registration for public access community Users can register themselves in a community by using their username or email and password for a selected social login account (for example, Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, if configured as a social identity provider in the SAP Cloud Platform Identity Authentication Administration console). Once they enter their email and password, a new communities account can be linked to their social login account. Once registration is complete, they will receive an email notification prompting them to activate their new communities account. To activate, they can log in to the community using their social login account. When you create a new linked account, you are prompted to enter the following information on the registration page: First Name Last name E-mail City Country State or Province Password 1.2 Pre-Authentication and landing page When anonymous access is disabled, as a Communities administrator, you can set a landing page to display before the user logs in. Pre-authentication and landing page Pre-authentication redirect As a community administrator, when you disable anonymous access, users who are not logged in are automatically redirected to the SAP Jam authentication system when they try to access a private community. In the SAP Jam Admin console Branding Web page, under the Pre-authentication redirect section, you can enter a URL for a landing page that displays before the users are logged in. The landing page should include links to the log in page for the community. 6 P U B L I C Release Highlights

1.3 Content syndication By connecting a SAP Jam Communities group to many communities and their groups through content syndication, knowledge base articles can be shared beyond a single organization for wider consumption. Please refer to the Content syndication topic in the SAP Jam Communities Administration Guide for more information. Content syndication for knowledge base articles Enable external content publishing from SAP Jam Collaboration As a company administrator, in the SAP Jam Admin console Product Setup s page, you can select the External Content Publishing option to give all SAP Jam group administrators the capability to allow content syndication of their group's knowledge base articles (and any attachments) to groups in SAP Jam Communities. When the External Content Publishing option is enabled, as a group administrator, under the Group Admin settings Edit Group General tab, you can select the Publish group content to external communities option to allow publishing of knowledge base articles to external communities. Any changes to the content (for example, edits and deletions) will also be propagated to the syndicated articles in external community groups. Enable content syndication from SAP Jam Collaboration group to SAP Jam Communities group As a group administrator, under the Group Admin settings Edit Group Setup tab, you can select the SAP Jam Collaboration group that you want to connect to your Communities group. Note As a group administrator for your community, you can only select from a list of SAP Jam Collaboration groups where you also have group admin access and have enabled content syndication. The SAP Jam Collaboration group that you add will display under the group header dropdown menu, below the Content category. Once the group is selected, the list of syndicated knowledge base articles appears under the list of knowledge base articles for the Communities group. Release Highlights P U BL IC 7

Knowledge base articles and syndication Once a group administrator connects a SAP Jam Collaboration group to a SAP Jam Communities group, knowledge base articles can be syndicated. For example: When a knowledge base author creates a new article or updates an existing article in the SAP Jam Collaboration group, the same article is automatically created or updated in the SAP Jam Communities group. When a group member deletes the knowledge base article in SAP Jam Collaboration, the article is also deleted in the SAP Jam Communities group. If there are knowledge base articles that already exist in the SAP Jam Collaboration group, once content syndication is enabled and the group is connected to a SAP Jam Communities group, those knowledge base articles will automatically sync over to the Communities group. You can disable or enable the automatic content syndication in the SAP Jam Admin console Integrations Content Syndication page. If the automatic syndication is disabled, you can go to the More menu for the knowledge base article and choose Sync to manually obtain the latest version. By default, the content will sync automatically. A status message on the progress of the sync action displays above the meta data for the article. Manage external groups In the SAP Jam Collaboration Admin console Integrations Content Syndication page, as a company administrator, you can view a list of all SAP Jam Communities groups linked to your company. You can test the link connections for each community group. You can edit the push notification subscription settings for each group. Disable content syndication to communities As a content owner or group administrator, you can now choose to publish a knowledge base article directly to a community, or remove the content item. If you choose to disable syndication, the knowledge base articles will no longer be syndicated from SAP Jam Collaboration. If you decide later on to allow content syndication, you can choose to re-enable. Exceptions At this time, syndicated knowledge base articles: cannot be syndicated if they are created from custom knowledge base templates. cannot be mirrored within the community. do not display the source group of the content syndication from SAP Jam Collaboration. do not display the author (or any other contributor) name or their avatar for the knowledge base article in the community. do not include syndication of hashtags, content ratings, categories, and feed items from the SAP Jam Collaboration group. Embedded images and attachments support As a knowledge base author, if you publish an article with embedded images and attachments, the syndicated article will also display the embedded images and attachments in SAP Jam Communities. 8 P U B L I C Release Highlights
