MACOMB COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF ROADS TRAFFIC OPERATIONS CENTER To provide and maintain a reliable real-time traffic operations system, in coordination with county stakeholders, that enables a safe, efficient, and informative travel experience. PERFORMANCE MEASURES FEBRUARY 2014 69% 0 100 RELIABILITY: DEVICE AVAILABILITY Percentage of intersections along major county corridors which have active communications to the Traffic Operations Center. 0 19 40 0 28 40 SAFETY: ROADWAY UPGRADES EFFICIENCY: F/C REVIEWS Number of projects in Macomb County in which new hardware was installed, geometric configurations were implemented, and timings were optimized along a corridor. Number of times the Traffic Operations Center staff reviewed an intersection based on a service request. Reviews occurred in the field (F) or at a console (C) through the network. INFORMATIVE: SUCCESS STORIES A citizen s email to the Macomb County Department of Roads was received by the Traffic Operations Center this past month. The citizen had expressed concern with the operation of the traffic light at 11 Mile Road (I-696 Service Drive) and Dequindre Road, primarily the fact that the timing was not correct and was causing motorists to become impatient. The concern was addressed by MCDR shortly after the service request was verified. The citizen emailed back and expressed gratitude for correcting the issue in such a prompt manner. INFORMATIVE: SERVICE REQUESTS There were 106 Service Requests this month. This is an increase in the amount of service requests from the previous month by 32. Service Requests are requests from the public or other agencies regarding troubleshooting a potential issue with intersection operations.
