Browser Requirements Smart Data requires certain web browsers in order to work properly. To help ensure the protection of your data, your browser must have 128-bit encryption in order to log in to Smart Data. This is the highest level of encryption commercially available. Smart Data supports the following web browsers on Windows operating systems: Operating System Supported Browsers Windows 7 Internet Explorer 8 Internet Explorer 9 Internet Explorer 10 Firefox 24 ESR Windows 8 Internet Explorer 10 Firefox 24 ESR NOTE While other browsers and browser versions are not blocked from accessing Smart Data, only the above are officially supported. The use of unsupported browsers may result in issues that will not be resolved by MasterCard. Page 3
1. Login 1.1 First-time Login Step 1: In your browser s address field, enter without www sdg2.mastercard.com and the login page will open (hint bookmark this page to your Favourites). Step 2: Click on the Cardholder Self-Registration link and enter your Account Number (your full 16-digit card number) and your Company Registration Code (your Company Program Administrator [CPA] will be able to provide this to you). Click Next. Page 4

2. Transaction Review 2.1 Reviewing & coding transactions Step 1: From the Home Page, either: Click on More in the Review Required box or click on Transaction Summary in the Account Activity menu. OR Page 7
Step 2: Select the date range and click Search. Hint Filter by Reporting Cycle to ensure the correct beginning and end dates of the statement cycle are captured. Step 3: Click on the Accounting Detail icon to expand the line of transaction to display the coding field(s), or click on Expand All to expand all lines of transactions. This padlock confirms that the transaction has been reviewed & coded. No changes can be Page 8
Step 4: Enter the Expense Description and apply the appropriate codes to the transaction by selecting from the drop down box where applicable. Step 5: To attach a receipt to a transaction, click on the Add Receipt icon the file name of the receipt. and select Page 9
2.2 Splitting transactions Step 1: To split a transaction, click on the Split Transaction icon. Step 2: Choose if you d like to split the transaction by Amount or Percent. Page 10
Step 3: Choose how you would like to split the balance to Total Transaction Amount or Net Transaction Amount. Step 4: Enter the number of splits you require and click Add. Step 5: Confirm that the splits total to the full amount and click Save. Page 11
Step 6: For each split, click on the Accounting Detail icon Accounting Codes. to expand and click on Edit Once coding is complete for the splits, click on Save to confirm the splits Page 12
3. Submit for Approval 3.1 Submitting transactions for approval Step 1: Click on the Reviewed box for each line of transaction you have reviewed and coded, then click Save. The icon will appear next to the transaction once it is saved. You are now ready to notify your approver. Step 2: Click on the button to notify your approver. Step 3: Enter the email address and optional email message. Tip: If you tick the Save for future use box, the email subject and body will be saved the next time you click on Send Email. Page 13
4. Reports 4.1 Running Reports Step 1: Select Account Activity > Schedule Report Step 2: Click on Account Statement (or the appropriate report for your organisation) NOTE: The types of reports you will have access to on this screen will be determined by your CPA. Your view of the page (as shown by the screenshot on the left) may differ. Page 14
Step 3: Enter the required details and click on Next. TIP: If your CPA has enabled this option, you can choose to have your report delivered to you via email as a PDF attachment. Step 4: Select the frequency and click Save. The report is now scheduled. It will take approximately a few minutes before the report runs. Page 15
4.2 Download a completed report Step 1: Once the report has completed, it will appear in the Reports & Data Files on the Homepage. If you have selected the option to also send the completed report via email, you will receive this at the email address you have provided during your registration process. Page 16
5. Email Reminders For information only An email reminder may be sent to cardholders when review and coding is required (subject to configuration by your CPA). Follow up email reminders will be delivered to those who have not yet completed coding within the required timeframe. Page 17
6. Smart Data for Mobile 6.1 Logging in NOTE: You must, firstly, register your card account on the Smart Data desktop site before you can log on to the mobile website. Once registered, follow these steps: Step 1: Open the browser on your mobile phone then, in the address field, enter m.sdg2.mastercard.com Step 2: Select preferred language (if required) Step 3: Enter User ID and password (use the same credentials as your desktop site) Step 4: Tap Login Tap Most Recent Transactions to view those transactions. NOTE: The mobile site only allows you to take pictures of receipts and upload them to Smart Data. It does not allow coding of transactions. This functionality is expected to be available in the future. Page 18
6.2 Uploading a receipt To attach a receipt to a transaction, click on the receipt icon ( follow the on-screen prompts. ) next to the transaction and Once logged into the desktop version, simply click on the mobile icon ( transaction and select the receipt from the drop down list. ) next to the 6.3 Log Out To logout, tap on the menu in the right corner and select Logout.
