1 Getting started. 1.1 From either the Harper College website or HIP, search ONLINE TEMPLATES. 1.2 Follow links to view available templates. 1.3 Set up a new account using your Harper College email or sign in as a returning customer.
1.4 New customer registration. 1.5 Returning customers login.
2 Start a NEW Design Template Project Example: Postcard Template 2.1 Select a category. 2.2 Select a size. 2.3 Select a style.
2.4 Name Project. 2.5 Save Project. 2.6 Project Saved appears after saving a new Project. To start a new Project, click on Templates. To access saved Projects, click My Projects. 2.7 From the My Projects screen, click on a Project Name to make additional edits. Return to the Project to download a PDF. 2.8 From the My Projects screen, click on Duplicate to design a new Design Template Project based on a current or previous Project. 2.9 Projects can be accessed for one year from last saved date.
3 Click to Customize 3.1 Most text and Images can be customized, depending on the specific Design Template used.
4 Text Edits 4.1 Select FORMAT from top bar to access the FRAME and TEXT menus located on the right. 4.2 Use FRAME menu to edit the actual text box. Use TEXT menu to edit the copy and font, size styles, etc. ADD TEXT if needed. Click DONE when finished with text edits. 4.3 Additional changes can still be made.
5 Image Edits 5.1 Select FORMAT from top bar to access the IMAGE menu. 5.2 To change the current image, select current image. Click CHANGE IMAGE in FORMAT menu on right side. Use the Upload drop down menu on left to UPLOAD YOUR IMAGE. Click DONE when finished with image edits. 5.3 Additional changes can still be made.
6 Multiple Pages in Template 6.1 Click PAGES to customize or add additional pages/sides of the template. 6.2 Copy does not flow from one page to the next.
7 PREVIEW 7.1 PREVIEW Project anytime. 7.2 After making edits, click FINISHED to return to the SAVE screen. 7.3 Clicking YES, DONE or FINISHED does not Save Project nor prevent additional edits. 7.4 Edits can always be made at anytime.
8 SAVE 8.1 Always SAVE after making any changes. 8.2 Projects can be accessed for one year from last saved date.
9 Download PDF 9.1 Click View PDF Proof to download PDF for uploading to Publishing Services, printing to local printer or attach and distribute by email. 9.2 To download PDF, hover cursor until downloading button appears. Click and PDF will be saved to your specified download location on your computer. 9.3 After downloading PDF, click X in top corner to return to previous screen.
10 Start a NEW Form Field Template Project Example: Harper Business Card 10.1 Select a category. 10.2 Select a card. 10.3 Select a campus/area.
10.4 Select a campus/area. 10.5 Fill in fields. 10.6 Select a back if needed.
11 SAVE 11.1 Project Saved appears after saving a new Project. To start a new Project, click on Templates. To access saved Projects, click My Projects. 11.2 From the My Projects screen, click on a Project Name to make additional edits. Return to the Project to download a PDF. 11.3 From the My Projects screen, click on Duplicate to design a new Form Field Template Project based on a current or previous Project. 11.4 Projects can be accessed for one year from last saved date.
