NOTES: Codes 018, 131 and 447 are now retroactive advanced credentials. Industry-Based Credentials (IBC): Choosing the Highest Level Attained for the Career Endorsement in STS * Color-coding of Information Technology (IT) certs (CIW) indicates grouping by specialty IT-area. The attainment of all the color-coded Basic certs in the group lead to the advanced in the group. ** Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) Credentials are denoted as the following: Associates (Associate Degree); Technical Diploma (TD); Certificate of Technical Studies (CTS); Technical Competency Area (TCA) *** Graduation Endorsements that identify the highest level of IBC/Credential attained should be added to the records of graduates in the Student Transcript System (STS). STS CTE Endorsement Codes: J1 -Statewide Basic; J2 Regional (1 Core + 2 Complementary); J3 - Statewide Advanced; J4 -Alternate Credential (Act 833 Only); (Safety*) Complementary Credential: Students may apply two Safety Complementary Credentials towards their Jump Start graduation requirements. Please see the Jump Start Policy Regarding Credentials (on the All Things Jump Start website) for additional details. Jump Start policy is flexible in recognizing all legitimate First Aid programs. Currently-approved First Aid for Student Certifications include American Red Cross, American Heart Association and the National Safety Council. If a district or charter school wants to use a different First Aid certification, they must provide Jump Start with evidence that their intended First Aid certification includes all required components as well as a practical certification. Successful completion of First Aid certification requirements in Regional and Integrated pathways may include First Aid only, or may include a more comprehensive combination of First Aid, CPR and/or AED. ***** All Historical BESE approved IBCs have eithered expired or have reverted to a Regional Core, Regional Complementary, Statewide Basic or Statewide Advanced as noted in Matrix. According to Bulletin 111, Associates Degree is worth 160 Accountaility Points.
