Windows 7 or earlier 1. Locate the Remote Desktop Application by typing Remote in the Start Menu search bar. 2. Expand the Remote Desktop Connection options (details next page).
3. Enter ASAP s new computer address, accounting.businessasap.com, followed by your respective itx\asap-username. 4. Adjust the RDC display settings to fit your preference.
5. Ensure your local printer, clipboard, and drives (optional) are mapped by selecting the appropriate options below.
6. From the Advanced tab, select Connect and don t warn me from the drop down list. Select Settings to configure the RD gateway. 7. Enter the appropriate server name, logon method, as well as check the corresponding boxes as below.
8. Select Save As to save your RDC settings and icon to your desktop (recommended for ease of access).
9. Once you ve accessed the remote desktop interface, launch your version of QuickBooks and follow steps a.- d. to restore your company file. b. a. c. Z:\\ASAP- Client d.

1. Select from the images below to download and install the newest release of Microsoft Remote Desktop for the Mac or ipad operating system. *Please NOTE that downloads require a valid Apple ID/Account* Mac OS ipad
2. Launch the Remote Desktop, then select Preferences from the main menu. 3. Select + to add a new gateway ( Add Remote Desktop ipad). Designate a name for the gateway, then enter the server address (accounting.businessasap.com) and your itx\asap-username and password. 4. Once you have entered your settings, you may exit by closing the Preferences window. (Remote Desktop Interface - ipad)
5. For optimal performance, select Edit from the main menu, then ensure that the general settings match those specified on the left. 6. To map your local printer, select Session from the main menu, then elect to forward local printing devices.
7. Additionally you may map local folders of your choice by selecting the Redirection option, then entering the name and path of a new or existing folder. 8. Return to main menu, select ASAP s Remote Server from My Desktops, then select Start to launch your session.

Dear ASAP QuickBooks Remote user, Please follow these step-by-step instructions to upgrade your current version of QuickBooks to either QuickBooks 2013 or 2014. *Important: Before beginning the upgrade process, you will need. - To contact ASAP for placement of your newest QuickBooks icon. - Administrator credentials for your company file. After logging into ASAP s Remote Desktop Connection, select your appropriate QuickBooks icon. From the Company File queue, choose to open or restore an existing company. Z:\\ASAP- Client Select the Computer tile on the left, then select your corresponding ASAP Client Z:\\ drive. 23
Select your company file from the within the directory. *Make sure to select the.qbw file for upgrade, not any existing backup files(.qbb) Continue with the upgrade by selecting Update Now from the following prompt. 24
a. Select Local backup then choose Next for Backup Options b. Make sure your settings reflect those in the illustration below, then select Browse to choose your directory. c. Select your client Z:// drive in the sub directory of Computer. You may expand the drive by clicking the + icon for sub folder options. 25
Upon the above prompts, select Use this Location and then Ok to continue. You may then select the client drive/folder in which to save the newly created QuickBooks backup file. Once the backup file is created, QuickBooks will alert that the file will be restored to a newer version of QuickBooks. Should you need to open your company file in a previous version, you will need to restore this newly created backup file. 26
Upon restoring your company file you may receive the below prompts regarding payroll updates. Select Ok to check for updates. If you do not use QuickBooks payroll processing, switch from multi to singleuser mode, open up your company preferences, and select No payroll. *If you share access to your company file, please remember to switch back to multiuser mode upon completion. 27
