Getting Around the Member Pages This document provides guidance on how to use the Member Pages on the Assistance League of Minneapolis/St. Paul website. Getting Around the Member Pages LOGGING IN 1. Go to the chapter website: msp.assistanceleague.org 2. Click on the Member Login link in the upper right corner of the screen. 3. The ALMSP Member Login screen will appear. 4. First time ever logging in? Go to the Forgot Your Password section. Enter your email address and your password. We are now using email address, not User Name. Your password is the same one you used on the old website. Click on the Log In button. p. 2

NAVIGATING THE MEMBER PAGES 5. You will see the Chapter Calendar page. In the upper right corner are three links: Member Pages This link takes you to the first of the Member Pages, the Chapter Calendar page. My Profile This link takes you to a screen where you can edit your personal information. Logout Click on this link to log out of the Member Pages section. The Chapter Calendar displays events that require sign-up (such as a Thrift Shop shift) as well as those that simply require a show-up (such as a chapter meeting). You can click on the My Events link to show a list of event you have signed up for. And you can click on the Print link to print the calendar page(s) you see displayed on the screen. To see the Calendar instructions document, click on the Training link on the upper left corner of this page, then click on the Calendar Instructions button.. April 13 19, 2014 6. On the left are links to each page in the Members Pages section. There is also another link you can use to log out. These instructions cover only the first link: Chapter Calendar. The other links are more straightforward. The Chapter Calendar displays events that require sign-up (such as a Thrift Shop shift) as well as those that simply require a show-up (such as a chapter meeting). You can click on the My Events link to show a list of event you have signed up for. And you can click on the Print link to print the calendar page(s) you see displayed on the screen. To see the Calendar instructions document, click on the Training link on the upper left corner of this page, then click on the Calendar Instructions button.. p. 3

7. Click on the links in the middle of the screen to: Choose either a Monthly view or a Weekly view. When you first open the Chapter Calendar page, you are in Weekly view. Move back to the previous week/month or forward to the next week/month. The Chapter Calendar displays events that require sign-up (such as a Thrift Shop shift) as well as those that simply require a show-up (such as a chapter meeting). You can click on the My Events link to show a list of event you have signed up for. And you can click on the Print link to print the calendar page(s) you see displayed on the screen. To see the Calendar instructions document, click on the Training link on the upper left corner of this page, then click on the Calendar Instructions button.. April 13 19, 2014 8. The links on the gray bar to the right of the AL logo take you to the main Chapter website (or to the National website). The Member Pages link will still be visible at this point, and you can click on this link to return to the Member Pages. Exception: If you are on the National site, you will need to click on the Back arrow at the top left of your screen to return to the Member Pages. You can click on the My Events link to show a list of event you have signed up for. And you can click on the Print link to print the calendar page(s) you see displayed on the screen. SIGNING UP FOR EVENTS 9. Events in all categories are visible when you first come to this page. The Chapter Calendar displays events that require sign-up (such as a Thrift Shop shift) as well as those that simply require a show-up (such as a chapter meeting). You can click on the My Events link to show a list of event you have signed up for. And you can click on the Print link to print the calendar page(s) you see displayed on the screen. To see the Calendar instructions document, click on the Training link on the upper left corner of this page, then click on the Calendar Instructions button.. April 13 19, 2014 10. To see events in a specific category, click on the Select a Category dropdown box. 11. Move the cursor to the event you want to view and click on the event. p. 5

12. You will see details about the event: Others who have signed up, if any. Event date, time, location, and cost, if any. Your name and email are already filled in. To sign up for an event: Enter your phone number. Click on the Submit button at the bottom of the screen. p. 6

13. You will see the Verify Registration screen. Click on the Confirm Registration button. You must confirm your registration, or it will not be recorded. 14. You will see the Registration Overview screen. This screens shows that your registration is confirmed. It states that a confirmation email has been sent to you. VIEWING/PRINTING YOUR EVENTS 15. You can click the My Events > link to get a list of all the events you have signed up for. p. 7

16. You will see a list of all of your events. To print this list, click on the Print button at the bottom of the screen. Note: Print buttons and links may not function properly just yet. We're working on it! Print 17. You can click the on Print > link to print out a month's worth of events. 18. After you click the on Print > link, the month's calendar will appear. If you are viewing a week in April - or if you are viewing the entire month of April - the entire month will display. p. 8

19. To print the calendar, click on the Print button at the bottom of the screen. Note: Print buttons and links may not function properly just yet. We're working on it! Print 20. The month's calendar will appear, minus any colored shading. Click on the print button to print the calendar. CANCELLING EVENT REGISTRATION 21. To cancel your registration, click on My Events. 22. You will see a list of all your events. Click on the checkbox of any event you want to cancel. Click the Cancel Registration button. To cancel all of your event registrations at once, click the Check All checkbox, then click the Cancel Registration button. p. 9

23. You will be asked if you are sure. To confirm your cancellation, click the OK button. If you don't want to cancel after all, click the Cancel button. 24. If you clicked OK, the My Events screen will reappear. You will see that the cancelled event no longer displays. Please remember to call the chair if you are cancelling within two weeks of the event. Please call the chair if cancelling within two weeks of event. YOUR PROFILE 25. Your Profile stores your name, address, phone and similar information, as well as your password. Click on the My Profile link. p. 10

26. The Profile screen will appear. To edit your Profile, click on the Edit My Information link at the bottom of the screen. 27. Your Profile will appear. Correct, update or add any information you wish, then click on the Update Profile button at the bottom of the screen. p. 11

28. You will see the message: Your information was updated! YOUR PASSWORD 29. To change your password, click on the My Profile link to go to the Profile screen. 30. Click on the Change Password link. 31. You will see the Change Password screen. Enter your new password twice, then click on the Update Password button. 32. You will see that your password was successfully changed. p. 12

FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD? 33. If you have forgotten your password, click on the Click here to reset link. 34. To reset your password, enter your email address, then click on the Reset Password button. 35. You will see that: Your password was reset. You will receive an email with a new random password. 36. This is an example of the email you will receive after you reset your password. To log in with this new password: Click on the Member Login link in the upper right corner of the screen. Enter your email address, then enter the password you see in the email. Here's a tip: This new password is hard to type correctly. Copy the password from your email, and paste it into the Login screen. p. 13

LOGGING OUT 37. To log out from the Member Pages, click on the Log Out link. 38. You will return to the Chapter home page. I'M LOST! 39. Are you all tangled up and don't know how to find your way? To return to the Chapter Calendar page: - Click on the Chapter Calendar link on the left side of the screen. or - Click on the Member Pages link on the top right of the screen. To return to the Chapter home page: - Click on the Home link next to the Assistance League logo. or - Click on the Logout link on the top right of the screen.
