2012 is integrated with myshare, the university online collaboration tool. The integration can enhance your collaboration experience with additional tools and functionality for automated daily processes and provides quick access to team workspaces in myshare. The myshare integration works on the PC 2012 desktop client only. There is no integration with web access or the client for MACS. Getting Started 1. When you log in to, you will see a Novell Vibe icon in your email menu (myshare is the university implementation of the Novell product Vibe). 2. When you click on the Novell Vibe icon you will see 3 menu options: Personal Folder, My Teams and Favorites. May 2013 Page 1 of 9
3. When you select your Personal Folder it will expand and display all of the options you have installed in your myshare Personal Workspace including any custom folders / workspaces you have you created. 4. When you select My Teams it will display all of the Team Workspaces you are the creator and member of in MyShare. May 2013 Page 2 of 9
5. You can select individual Team Workspaces and see the options that are part of that particular workspace. 6. Selecting Favorites will display any workspace you have selected as your Favorite in MyShare. By default everyone will have the myshare Self Help set as a favorite as a quick way to find guides and training manuals. May 2013 Page 3 of 9
7. When you select any of the folders in the workspaces if you have not logged into myshare either through or myshare web access, you will be prompted to log in. If you are not active in myshare (either using or myshare web access at myshare.macewan.ca) within 30 minutes, it will ask you to log in again. May 2013 Page 4 of 9
Working with Files 1. In the following example there are no entries in the Blog folder in the Personal Workspace: 2. If you want to go back to your email to find a file or email to move into the myshare folder, you will notice that it appears that your email has disappeared. 3. To get your email and cabinets to display again, click on the Mailbox menu button on the toolbar: May 2013 Page 5 of 9
4. To move an attachment that has been emailed to you into a myshare folder or workspace: First open the email that contains the attachment. Click on the attachment and drag it to the myshare folder in your menu that you would like to copy the attachment to. For this example I am putting a copy of an attachment into the Blog folder in my Personal Workspace. NOTE: this copies the file from your email; it does not remove it from your inbox / folder. 5. The file is now in the Blog folder in the Personal Workspace. May 2013 Page 6 of 9
6. If you need to edit the file, you can click on the file entry in the Novell Vibe folder display. It will open up the myshare menu options including Modify and Delete. 7. You can also move emails into a myshare folder. This is handy to keep an email trail for a project or team workspace. Go back to your email display by clicking the Mailbox menu button. 8. Find the email you would like to copy into myshare. Click and drag the email into the applicable myshare folder. For this example I am placing a copy of an email into the Blog folder in the Personal Workspace. NOTE: this copies the email; it does not remove it from your inbox / folder. May 2013 Page 7 of 9
