Active Sync Configuration: Activation Procedures 1. Review the security policies that will automatically be applied to your device including: A 6 character password is required to use your device exception is incoming phone calls and Emergency (911) calls If device is lost or stolen, a poison pill will be deployed. All data on your device, including personal items (pictures, music, etc), will be wiped from your device. 2. If you choose to synchronize your calendar and contacts, any existing calendar and contact information on your device will be replaced with data from your OWA/Outlook account. If you wish to keep the calendar and contact information that is already on your device, synchronize your Mail only. 3. Follow instructions to configure active sync for your device. If you need assistance, please contact LiveOffice at 1 800 251 3863 Security Policy The following security policies will automatically be applied to your device: Requires manual synch when roaming Allows Desktop sync Device Settings Allow SMS (Text Messaging) for non business related/personal communication only Password Required must meet the following criteria: At least 6 characters Security timeout after 30 minutes Maximum password attempts: 10 After 10 failed attempts, your device will automatically be wiped out [refer to procedures for lost/stolen device] New password required every 90 days Allow MMS (Instant Messaging) for non business related/personal communication only Allow public services: Yahoo, Google, etc DO NOT allow unsigned applications DO NOT allow unsigned installation packages Allow Pop/IMAP Email BB Encryption Settings Misc DO NOT allow Storage Card Device Encryption Enabled Allow camera Allow WIFI Allow HTML email Allow browser Allow consumer email Allow remote desktop Allow internet sharing Allow bluetooth - 3 -

Then select Next Enter your Exchange account information 5 Verifying information: Your device will now try to locate your Exchange Server using Microsoft's Autodiscovery service. This can take up to 5 minutes on slow networks or if autodiscovery is not supported on device Header will show a status of Verifying - 7 -

Once the validation and configuration process is complete, your screen will show Exchange at the header again.» Server field should now be populated with exchange.liveoffice.com» Domain field is optional: Leave blank. If required, type exchhosting.com» Click the Next button Header will now show Exchange again Click the Next button Auto populated with exchange.liveoffe.com 7 Your Exchange Account page will appear. By default, the ipad will synchronize all three data types (Mail, Contacts, and Calendars). You can turn off any one of these.» Click the Save button Click the Save button - 8 -

Click the Next button Header will now show Exchange again. Click the Next button 8 A password is required for the device the following message will appear.» Click the Continue button to change your password now New Passcode Required. The Account johndoe@domain.com will start receiving new data again when a new passcode has been set. Press Continue to change your Passcode now 9 Create your password: Must be a minimum of 6 characters - 9 -

Active Sync Configuration: iphone 1 From the home screen of your iphone, select Settings icon 2 Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars 3 Tap Add Account 4 Tap Exchange 5 Enter your Exchange account information. Then click the Next button at the top. Email Type your email address [jsmith@jhnetwork.com] Domain Leave blank Username Type the Log In ID that is used to access your email account Password Type the password that is used to access your email account Description This defaults to your email address you can change this. - 11 -

Otherwise, go to 8» Tap Accept when you see a screen the following screen» Enter exchange 7 The following screen is displayed» Enter exchange.liveoffice.com in the Server field» Tap Next 8 If successful, you will see Exchange account verified and will be prompted for which data to synchronize. By default, the device will synchronize all three data types (Mail, Contacts, and Calendars).» Set the items you want synchronized to ON» Select Save Warning! Any existing calendar and contact information on the iphone will be replaced with data from the Exchange server if you choose to synchronize your calendar and contacts. If you wish to keep the calendar and contact information that is already on your iphone, synchronize your Mail only. 9 Press Sync» By default, only three days' worth of email is synchronized - 12 -

Secure Connectivity: You may see one or several of these options in your display make sure the following options are checked off: Secure Connection Encrypted SSL connection (see example below) Accept All SSL certificates 3. Active Sync Configuration: Procedures for Lost/Stolen Device Procedures for Lost or Stolen Device* If your wireless device is lost or stolen, it is important that you call your local Help Desk (1 800 544 9969) as soon as possible to start the notification process. The following actions will be taken:» JHFN Compliance and LiveOffice will be notified» Upon notification of lost or stolen devices, a remote deletion, also known as poison pill, allows a command to be sent to a specific Active Sync device, deleting all information (including personal data such as pictures, music, etc) stored on the device. *It is recommended that you back up your device on a regular basis 20

Active Sync Configuration: FAQs FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: Will my calendar entries from OWA/Outlook migrate to my wireless device? A: Yes Q: Will all my emails be synchronized to my wireless device? A: By default, only three days' worth of email is synchronized. To synchronize more, go into Settings, then Mail, Contacts, Calendars, select your Exchange account, and tap on Mail days to sync. Q: Will there be any changes in procedures/policies? A: The procedures for BlackBerry devices will also be applied to Active Sync devices. Password protection requirement: a 6 character password must be entered if no activity within 30 minutes Instant Messaging limited to personal/non business communication Procedures for lost/stolen device: a poison pill deploy will automatically wipe out all data on your device Q: Will the password policy apply to my JHFN information only? A: No, the password requirement is set at the device level.
