This bulletin helps t bring frward issues that have been identified with CPWS running n Windws Vista Business editin perating systems (n ther editins were tested). Running a Substandard System? Testing was als cnducted n a substandard system installed with Windws Vista Business editin. Althugh there were n issues identified with peratin, delays f 2 t 10 minutes were experienced when attempting t perfrm a Resting ECG r Exercise ECG Test. This can give the indicatin f being lcked up when it is nt. Issues: Installatin Imprtant: Prir t installatin the user MUST be lgged in as an Administratr f the system. Nte: Prir t installatin f CPWS r additin f add-ns Welch Allyn recmmends turning UAC ff. If security is a cncern UAC may be turned n after installatin, cnfiguratin and system testing is cmplete. Cautin: When chsing t turn UAC n, after installatin, cnfiguratin and testing, this may prevent any further changes withut having Administratr rights and UAC turned ff. T turn UAC ff: Access the Cntrl Panel Access User Accunts Click Turn User Accunt Cntrl n r ff Clear the check bx (see belw) Click OK A message will be received t restart the cmputer fr the changes t take affect. CPWS When attempting t install CPWS a screen stating Windws XP SP2 must be installed. If this message appears, click OK and the installatin will cmplete successfully. SPIROMETRY Installatin f the Spir USB adapter was fund t install withut any issues. ABPM The installatin f the Keyspan adapter frm the CD included with the prduct is adequate fr sme 32 bit perating systems. If issues are encuntered dwnlad the latest driver fr the USA-19HS frm the Keyspan website at this link: http://www.keyspan.cm:16080/dwnlads/ FileLink T have a successful installatin f FileLink UAC must be turned ff prir t installatin. Installing with UAC n will give n indicatin smething went wrng, until attempting t print using FileLink. The images belw represent the errr messages that will be received. Installing with UAC turned ff will present tw driver installatin errrs. Hwever, the installatin will cmplete successfully by clicking OK n each f these messages and FileLink will functin withut errrs. Hwever, when perating the ECG preview screen in minimized mde (small screen) the HR will nly display the last digit, t see all digits the screen must run in maximized mde (full screen). HIPAA If HIPAA is being used in the Administratr Tl it has been nted that in sme cases the Annymus Lgin may allw a user t enter int the sftware. General In the CPWS infrmatin screen Windws Vista was reprted as Unknwn Windws Versin 6.0.6000 On ccasin, typically right after bt up and first pening the prgram, an infrmatin bx titled Welch Allyn CardiPerfect that has n message may be bserved. This windw may stay fr several secnds befre presenting the next screen. On ccasin the new test dialg bxes may nt appear giving the prgram an indicatin f pssibly being lcked up. Hwever, the dialg bx may in fact be behind the CPWS screen, t verify click Welch Allyn CardiPerfect in the taskbar area t bring t the frnt. If Windws Vista is set as the theme (default setting) and the tl bars, at the tp f the screen, are attempted t be mved. The tl bar will seem t disappear as sn as it is started t be mved. Once installatin, cnfiguratin and testing f the prgram and/r add-ns is cmplete the UAC cntrl may be turned back n. The steps belw will guide yu thrugh this setting.
