The PulsePro Transcription module provides a method of creating and storing patient transcription documents within the PulsePro database. The Transcription Filter screen allows the user to display a list of selected documents that meet specific criteria. To begin, it is assumed that you are logged in the PulsePro application with the appropriate security and permissions to complete this task. Click the Reports/Forms group button in the Navigation Pane. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 2 of 39

The Transcription window is displayed consisting of a toolbar, a series of criteria fields, a list pane and a preview pane. Add criteria to one or more of the fields provided, then click the filter button on the toolbar to locate the transcription documents which meet the specified criteria. To quickly select a patient, enter the patients account or chart number in the fields provided. Otherwise locate the patient by clicking the lookup button on the Patient field. This list pane is now populated with records for each transcription document meeting the specified criteria. Let s explore some of the additional criteria fields provided. Use the Lookup buttons on the Dictated by or Transcribed by fields to select documents dictated by a particular physician or transcribed by a particular transcriptionist, respectively. Copyright 2012 Pulse Systems, Inc. Page 14 of 39
