Section Listing: 1) General Information 2) Scope of Proposal 3) Technical Specifications 4) Mandatory Requirements 5) Schedule of Events 6) Site Listing 7) Proposal Evaluation Criteria 1. General Information This request is issued to facilitate the upgrade and expansion of the network at each of the GPSB school sites for the purpose of accessing the internet and the district s network. The proposed solution will not replace our current network infrastructure, but merely supplement it. The Grant Parish School Board hereby solicits proposals from qualified proposers to provide for the design, configuration, installation, and implementation of a preferred turnkey system to deliver: 1) An upgraded & expanded connection to the network/internet. 2) Support services on all relevant systems. DATA COMPONENT Currently, the data transport backbone is shared across the 9 sites. Data converges into a 1G aggregation to the internet at the Central Office. Each facility has an MDF location branched to several IDFs. Switches in these closets are Ubiquiti Unify and Edge switches. Wireless a ccess is provided by Ubiquiti branded controllers and access points distributed throughout the facilities. Network routing and inter-site communications converge at Central Office and are managed by a combination of GPSB owned and operated Ubiquiti Edge switches and a vendor owned and operated Cisco router. NETWORK MANAGEMENT AND MONITORING The network and all of its components are actively monitored 24-7 for alarms and general activity logging. At the present time, wireless is available within each of our existing schools. RFP-GPSB CAT 2 2019 2
