Telecom services will be delivered to all district buildings. Internet Access will be delivered to all district buildings Basic Maintenance of Internal Connections will be delivered to all educational facilities. Internal connections will be delivered to two buildings which are being remodeled. This document explains further details. This document can be found on our district website at: We seek vendors with a proven track record of service to their customers. Our district is located about 5 hours from the nearest major cities. Travel time between any two schools range from.5 hours to 1.5 hours. The cost of travel must be factored into your quote either explicitly or implicitly. These projects are being bid by the COMPETITIVE SEALED BIDDING process as prescribed by R through R of the Arizona Administrative Code Section 10 at: Mrs. Carmen Norcross, Purchasing Agent should be contacted at (928) with any questions concerning bidding procedures. All Sealed Bids should be addressed to the attention of Mrs. Carmen Norcross Purchasing Agent and must be in our possession at the Chinle Unified School District Administration Purchasing Department Offices at US191 & Navajo Route #7 Chinle Arizona by 10:00 am on 03/23/2011. Each sealed bid should include two paper copies clearly numbered with the bid solicitation number (ADM ) and the 470 number (# ). Also include one electronic copy on a CD or DVD. 2 SUMMARY ALL LOCATIONS. Our district is located about 5 hours from the nearest major cities. Travel time between any two of our 11 main campuses range from one-half hour to 1.5 hours. The cost of travel must be factored into your quote either explicitly or implicitly. The following is an overview of the current network which contains 7 Schools 2 hubs and 1 administrative building. BASIC MAINTAINENANCE SERVICE PROVIDERS are to provide 12 months of maintenance for the equipment listed in Inventory 1-5. The vendor shall provide trouble ticket tracking to ensure that the district and the SLD are only charged for maintenance that is actually incurred on eligible equipment. The equipment inventoried in URL1 is broken into 5 categories: Inventory 1 CUSD ERATE YR14 - SERVER MAINTENANCE Inventory 2 CUSD ERATE YR14 - VIDEO MAINTENANCE. Inventory 3 CUSD ERATE YR14 - APC MAINTENANCE Inventory 4 CUSD ERATE YR14 - CABLING MAINTENANCE Inventory 5 CUSD ERATE YR14 - CISCO MAINTENANCE Proposals may be submitted for any combination of the areas. Inventory 1. Maintenance for FIREWALL, Web servers, DNS, DHCP, Terminal and IIS Servers, IBM AS400 web server and Exchange. Maintenance, configuration and troubleshooting services are required to keep these systems running at maximum efficiency and may include updating with recent software and firmware releases as well as configuration to keep us compatible with current ISP addressing.

3 Operating System Maintenance is required for the following Operating systems that are currently in use: 1. Citrix 2. Various Levels of Windows Servers 3. Linux 4. Ineligible desktops run Windows XP, Window 2003, Windows Vista, Window 7, and Mac Os. Network maintenance must ensure connectivity to these platforms. Inventory 2 Video equipment. The school uses BNI video carts for our Distance Learning activities. This equipment is used in our computer labs and classroom which have difficult environmental conditions due to extreme heat, cold and dust. Inventory 3 UPS Maintenance: The School uses Uninterruptable Power Supplies of several makes to protect the valuable equipment. We require maintenance, and support including battery replacement for approximately1/3 of the UPS s each year. We have a variety of Best, and APC Brands. Inventory 4 Cable and Fiber Maintenance, CAT 6 Cabling. Include repairs for the approximately 7300 copper drops and 2200 fiber drops listed in the Inventory 4 document. Also include quote for moves and changes of up to 180 copper drops and 20 fiber drops as part of routine classroom reconfiguration. Inventory 5. Cisco Base protection for switches and firewalls Maintenance and Configuration: This District is completely equipped with Cisco Devices. We need to maintain these devices. Cisco Base is our choice of a means to do this. We need to have the software renewed every year. Devices include 6500, 4506, 4507, 3550 and 3560 all inline power switches as shown in document 5. Inventory 5. Cisco Base protection for Wireless access Point Maintenance and Configuration: These devices help our mobile computer labs (laptops) with Internet access and will also serve as access points for portable IP phones and PDA's. The entirety of all campuses are provided coverage to enable staff with wireless IP phones to have service from anywhere on the property. Inventory 5. Cisco Base protection for Call Managers Maintenance and Configuration The District is served entirely by CISCO call managers and an integrated Exchange server for unified messaging. We will need recommendation and or updates to enhance this system and also expertise is required in managing these devices. The District requires upgrade to Cisco Smartnet (SNT) for all core switches, call managers, and SRST routers. INTERNAL CONNECTION SERVICE PROVIDERS should review the following information which details the equipment being purchased: Cabling for 2 schools Switches for 2 schools approximately 2000 CAT6 with (2) patch cables each and (200) MM with (2) patch cables each approximately (2) core switches each, PoE switches to accommodate (1000) drops per building

4 Cabinets, racks, UPS for 2 buildings APs and Controllers to house and power equipment in 2 buildings approximately (25) APs and (1) controller per building Servers, Routers for 2 buildings approximately (5) servers per building and (1) router per building Installation and Configuration for all of the above Also, quote any necessary legacy license renewals as part of the internal connections proposal. Internal connection vendors must provide equipment which is compatible with our current inventory of equipment which can be found in URL1. In particular, our district has a large inventor of Cisco and Dell equipment so proposed equipment should be of comparable quality (equivalent) to the models shown in the inventory and must be from nationally recognized manufacturers. Telecommunications vendors should quote the following services. Cellular High Bandwidth High Bandwidth Local and Long Distance approximately 26 cellular/portable electronic devices 2 PRIs with 1000 DIDs with long distance, (7) T1 lines, (3) DSL Metro Ethernet (1) 50 Mb/s, (2) 20 Mb/s approximately 11 business lines, approximately 33 trunks, (1) 2 wire VG Ckt, (1) H S I, (2) 800 numbers Inside Wiring Maintenance fiber, CAT6 and CAT3 cabling Quotes should include all pertinent one time charges and licensing fees. INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDERS should quote the following services.
