1 The new MYOB PayDirect Mobile app lets you take care of business while you re on the go We ve taken some of the great features of AccountRight Live and made them mobile, so you can manage your accounts and cash flow on the go. Take control of your cash flow in just a few taps. The MYOB PayDirect Mobile app is the quick and easy way to invoice and manage your contacts, and see who owes you money (and the money you owe), while you re out and about. You ll save loads of time. The app does the hard work of updating your accounts in MYOB AccountRight Live # automatically. This simple guide introduces you to the MYOB PayDirect Mobile application (PayDirect Mobile app) so you can get started managing your invoices and contacts on the go. # The MYOB PayDirect app only provides invoice and contact management functionality to AccountRight Live clients. AccountRight Live clients must have a data file in the cloud to access the service.
2 PayDirect Mobile app user guide Customer support If you have any problems using MYOB PayDirect, please visit myob.com.au/paydirectsupport Downloading the MYOB PayDirect Mobile app Simple and secure log in Log in to the MYOB PayDirect Mobile app once using your MYOB account and then set your own 4 digit security pin to use as a quick login for future use. Before you re able to start, you need to install the MYOB PayDirect Mobile app onto your smartphone. A list of supported devices can be found at myob.com.au/ paydirectsupport If you have an Apple iphone: > Visit the App Store on your phone > Search the App Store by typing MYOB PayDirect in the search box > Download the MYOB PayDirect Mobile app onto your smartphone. The app is free. If you have an Android phone: > Visit the Google Play Store on your phone. If you do not have Google Play, you can download it at play.google.com > Search the Google Play Store by typing MYOB PayDirect in the search box > Download the MYOB PayDirect Mobile app onto your smartphone. The app is free.
3 Mobile Invoicing Manage how and when you get paid from your mobile. The MYOB PayDirect Mobile app lets you create, edit and send item and service invoices wherever you have mobile reception or wifi access. You can also mark invoices as paid, helping you stay on top of your cashflow. Create an invoice Create from the invoice tab > Select the Invoices button on your dashboard > Select the + icon located on the top right of the invoice list to start the invoice creation process. (Note: if you have item* invoices selected on the card, this will be the type of invoice started, all other types will revert to service) > Select a customer to add to the invoice > Fill out the details on the New Invoice screen to meet your jobs details > Once the invoice line has been saved creating the invoice, you have an opportunity to add further lines to the invoice if desired. Adding a new line repeats the previous steps without the need to select a customer. How to look up an invoice Looking up an invoice can be accessed in two ways: > Click on the Invoices button from your Dashboard to see a list of all invoices > Click on a customer from the Contacts list. From within the selected contact details, you can view invoices filtered by that contact. Note: You can t search for invoices. Invoices are sorted by date to terms on the Due tab or payment date on the Paid tab. How to edit an invoice Service and Item* invoices with an open status can be edited. Simply open to the invoice detail and select the Edit option on the invoice line you wish to amend. If you want to add a new line, select the Add New Line option on the invoice. Accepting cash and cheque payments When taking a payment, cash and cheque are available as the Payment method. Selecting either of these options will create a payment transaction of this type. Contact from the contact tab > Select the Contacts button on your dashboard > Choose the customer you wish to create the invoice for from the customer list > Select the Invoices tab > Select the + icon located on the top right of the invoice list to start the invoice creation process. (Note: if you have item* invoices selected on the card, this will be the type of invoice started, all other types will revert to service.) > Fill out the details on the New Invoice screen to meet your jobs details > Once the invoice line has been saved creating the invoice, you have an opportunity to add further lines to the invoice if desired. Adding a new line repeats the previous steps without the need to select a customer. * Item invoices are not available on the Android version. Only Service invoices can be created.
4 PayDirect Mobile app user guide Manage your contacts on the go View all your customers from your card file and see who owes you what. It s perfect for following up late payments while you re on the road. The MYOB PayDirect Mobile app also integrates with your smartphone s mapping software to give you maps and driving directions for individual contacts, which makes it easy to locate people on the go. Meeting a new customer? Add new details, and your card file automatically updates. Find a contact > You can look up a contact from the Dashboard by clicking on the Contacts tab > All contacts are separated by type (Customer/Supplier) > You can also search contacts by name. Edit a contact (not available on Android) > Within the contact details, select the Edit link at the top right of the screen > Enter the desired amendments and save > This amendment will be automatically updated on your AccountRight card list. Accessing Maps and Driving Directions > Select a contact and view contact details > If a valid address has been entered, select the address for it to open in your phone s mapping software > You will then be able to navigate from your current location to the address of the contact. Create a contact > You can create a contact from the customer list > Select the + icon located on the top right of the screen > Select the contact description and fill in the details > Once saved the contact will be automatically updated on your AccountRight card list.
5 Add mobile payments Take control of your payments on the go, offering your customers even more ways to pay with any Visa or MasterCard branded Credit, Debit or Prepaid cards. Sign up for the additional MYOB PayDirect payments service, connect the MYOB PayDirect Reader and you re ready for the faster, smarter way of doing business on the go. MYOB PayDirect lets you receive credit card payments from your customers with the funds appearing in your bank account in two business days. No longer do you need to wait 7, 14 or even 30 days to get paid.
