Data Feeds Traffic Setup Instructions In this document we ll first cover data feeds and traffic, then we ll cover actual setup. Data feeds are simple to find and simple to setup. They are also often less expensive than solo ads. The main 2 reasons that people tend to use solo ads over data feeds are 1- Solo ads are convenient and require no interaction on the buyers part whereas data feeds require that you upload your own leads into your autoresponder. 2- Most new internet marketers have either never heard of data feeds, they don t understand them, or they were misinformed about them. As long as you select a reputable data provider your lead quality will usually at a minimum be just as good as solo ad leads, and most often much better. You want to always go with real-time buyers leads because obviously they are going to be the hottest most active leads. At no time should you ever buy leads over 7 days old.
The data sellers often offer amazing pricing and volume on older leads They do this because those leads are from the most part, garbage (in other words they are about as good as the average solo ad). Don t be afraid of the price per lead on real-time buyers leads It s a matter of conditioning and little else. I ll give you an example. It s common to pay $0.40 per click to buy a decent solo ad. And if your landing page is good you ll land about a 50% conversion ratio, which means that 50% of the people who land on your page will opt-in. That means that your actual initial cost per lead is $0.80 each. Now add in the fact that at least 50% of the people who opt-in will use fake email addresses, route your email direct to spam, or otherwise never see any of your future marketing messages, so the real minimum cost per lead when buying solo ads is $1.00+ per lead (and that s the minimum If you really break it down you ll find that you are usually actually paying around $2-$3 lead from a solo ad buy. With a high quality data feed your actual valid lead acquisition cost is well below that. Do you see? People feel like they are paying less because it is presented to them from solo ad sellers as pennies per click but in reality, you are paying dollars (plural) per lead when you buy leads using solo ads. So let s cover the complex series of steps involved in finding a high quality data feed
Step one: Open up Google in your browser. Step two: Type in your target audience keyword plus the phrase data feed. Example, when I target people for my Internet marketing products I will use biz op as my keyword, so my search looks like this: biz op data feed If I am working in the diet niche, it would be: diet fitness data feed If I m working the car loan industry, my search would be: auto loan data feed It doesn t matter what your niche is there is a high quality real-time data feed there for you already. Sorry about teasing you earlier about it being complex As you can see, it s a simple search in your favorite search engine. Nothing complex or hard about it. Traffic The traffic that you use in your upload/subscribe script is important. You can t just go buy a package of junk proxy traffic Doing that will raise all sorts of red flags on your autoresponder account. Fortunately, the traffic you need to use is cheap and abundant. You ll want to stick exclusively with traffic that is sold as adsense safe. The seller will of course claim that it s real and valid traffic The seller is lying to you much like solo ad sellers lie to you when they say buyers included. They don t sell a product, they only sell solo ads so they actually in most cases do not have any buyers in their list that is related to the products you promote. Their buyers are mostly other solo ad sellers who are building their lists to sell clicks. But that s ok because it does exactly what we need it to do. Basically so called adsense safe traffic is really junk invisible traffic that no human being actually ever sees (again, the seller will of course lie about that). But this traffic does have the single unique characteristic that is vital for our upload/subscribe campaigns. This type of traffic passes google analytics validation. In other words, Google (or any other tracking program) views it as real and valid traffic. The seller will usually tell you that the traffic is coming from expired domains where the visitor directly typed in the domain name.
That s another lie, but again it s good for us because it works like the ultimate proxy without ever needing any proxies. In all stat counters it shows up as a direct browser type-in which is exactly what an average real opt-in form receives from legitimate visitors. So this makes it 100% safe and invisible to the autoresponder company. You can pick this traffic up in any of the fiverr types of sites, as well as doing a simple google search for adsense safe traffic. Click Here To Do A Quick Traffic Search The prices are low, the quality is high (for our needs), and the volume available is staggering. There is also a very positive side effect to using this sort of traffic. Some of it hits so fast that it doesn t have time to trigger your subscribe process! What!... I know you re sitting there thinking I just paid for this traffic and I want every bit of it to work. Well No. No you don t. If it did, it would cause your autoresponder form to show a 100% opt-in rate, which just screams I m CHEATING!. Actually what you want is for it to be random, and that s what this traffic does. Some of it triggers your script (the subscribe process) and some of it doesn t.
So your autoresponder company can see that you are sending a lot of traffic to your landing page, and only a percentage of people are opting in. This is the realistic effect that you are going for. You don t really have to give this any thought because it simply happens as a matter of course. I m pointing it out to you so that you understand that if you buy 5,000 (hits, clicks, whatever you want to call it) that is not going to equate into 5,000 successful subscribes into your list. I can t give you the exact percentage because it depends on where your seller is getting his traffic and how it s being delivered. It has been my experience that you ll run a 50%-85% success ratio which is stunningly perfect for our objectives. Basically what I do is just buy a few packages that send traffic all month long so that I can turn on/off/redirect my subscriber flow on demand. I don t worry about wasting the traffic. It s cheap traffic anyway and it s coming to me 24 hours per day. You will want to use a service like http://traffic.ceo for a couple of different reasons. 1- It gives you a great url to work with and provides stats for you. 2- It gives you the ability to redirect your traffic wherever you want it in real-time rather than having to try to get your seller to change your url for you. 3- You ll want to sign-up (free account is fine) you do not want to use the anonymous option.
Here is (below) an image to show you the overall flow of your setup Get it? It starts with your special traffic, the traffic flows to the upload/subscribe script, the script flows to your email address database, then goes to your pass-through url onto your actual optin form, and from the optin form to your autoresponder. Easy peasy. Now, having shown you that That isn t how you ll see it. From your perspective you ll see it as Traffic->Optin Form->Done.
Setup Instructions The image below is the first screen you see when you access your wizard. (There is a link to a video walk through on this entire process at the bottom of this section). Select which autoresponder company you are currently using. In the image below I have clicked the aweber option.
In the URL field, you want to enter a url to one of your existing opt-in pages that is already setup and functioning. In the EMAIL field you want to enter an email address where your own little enclosed system will alert you when you have used up all of the email addresses contained in your email database csv file. This makes it so that you will be notified when your email address file has been used up so that you can either add more addresses, or redirect your traffic. When you click the Go To Next Step button on that screen, you will be presented with the screen below.
On this screen you are presented with a text file to download. That single text file is your entire custom setup! Once you download this file, upload it to your server into the same directory as the url you entered earlier, and then rename this file to something meaningful and change it from.txt to.php For example, when you download this file it may be named something like: 564654eytrgdf.txt So you will rename it to something like: freegift.php The 2 images below give you a visual example
The image on the left shows that I uploaded the text file and my csv email address list file into the same directory as the existing opt-in page that I used the url for earlier. The image on the right shows that I renamed the text file from the random name to a meaningful name and changed the ext. from.txt to.php Here is a quick look at the list cleaner function
It s pretty straight forward. You simply select the list you plan to mass upload (mass subscribe) and run the cleaner. The cleaner will remove mal-formed email addresses, take out duplicates, and format your file properly to use in your system. Once it does that, it presents you with a file using a random name something like 43535erfg.csv That is your cleaned file. Now rename it to contacts.csv and upload it to the same directory as detailed earlier. Once you have done that, you re good to go. Send traffic to your file (or your traffic.ceo url if you chose that method) and all of those people in your list will begin being mass uploaded as subscribers into your mailing list with no confirmation required.
*** If the url to the opt-in page/form you provided earlier is setup to require confirmation, you MUST change that to single opt-in (no confirmation required) in your autoresponder account. Click Here to see a video to show you how to do all of this
Vital Information For Success The existing squeeze/landing page url that you put into the wizard The form on that page MUST be html, it cannot be javascript. ONE - If you currently have your form set up using javascript, you ll want to go back to your aweber/getresponse account and navigate to that form, and then select the html version of that form to paste into your existing landing page rather than the javascript that you are currently using. The wizard can only work with html forms There is no way for it to extract the correct data from javascript (even Google can t read javascript). TWO Single opt-in Your form on aweber/getresponse must be set to single opt-in. Otherwise all of those people you are uploading will be required to confirm, and that defeats the purpose of the entire system. For example, in aweber you would go to the form you are using, then click the list options tab, then click the List Settings option, then click the confirmed opt in option. Scroll down the page, change to single opt-in, and then save. THREE If you do not know how to upload files Try doing a youtube search. For example, if you are with hostgater, do a search on youtube for how to upload on hostgater. (you really should be using DecentWebhosting.com for grown-up hosting.)
