IPAD SET UP
Set Passcode You will be prompted to set a passcode. Set your passcode. You can go back later and change the passcode by going to Settings>General>Passcode Lock>Change Passcode
Set Up Wi-Fi Always choose WCSD (not WCSD Guest). Go to Settings, click on WIFI, click on the WCSD option. Enter the Student proxy Username=student\firstname.lastname Password=student ID (lunch #) Accept the Verification, a check mark will appear next to WCSD.
Go to Settings then click on "icloud" on the lefthand side of the screen. Sign in using your Apple ID. Log Into icloud
Turn On Find My ipad
Turn On icloud Backup Click on "Storage & Backup" at the bottom-right of the screen. Turn on icloud backup, and click OK. icloud uses the same Apple ID that you use for downloading apps. If you have not setup your Apple ID on the ipad, you will be prompted to do so at this point. Backups will occur daily when the ipad is plugged into power and is on a wireless network.
Turn on icloud for Pages Go to Settings. Scroll down on the left and tap Pages. Turn on Use icloud.
Restoring Notability Open Notability. Click on the gear icon. Select icloud and turn that option on. Make sure on Auto-Back up that Google Drive is chosen (or Dropbox if that is what you backed up to)

Set Up School Email Go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Select Gmail. OR add account > Google Name: First and Last Name Email: firstname.lastname@student.walton.k12.ga.us Password: Student ID Number (lunch number) Description: School Email or LHS Email Press Next, then Save. Remember you can only email students and staff within the county, not outside the county.
Reminders DO NOT erase or reset your device. If you have issues or problems with your ipad, please take it to your school's media center for assistance. DO NOT remove any profiles from your device. This will result in administrative actions. DO NOT attempt to get around the web filtering on the ipad. DO NOT install VPN or other similar apps that will bypass the filtering. This will result in administrative actions. DO NOT try to reset the Apple ID password attached to the school's Apple ID (ie, lhsconfig@gmail.com) - apps attached to these IDs will be updated by the school.
Create Lock Screen Change your lock screen image to include your name. You may use any image, picture, etc. as long as it is not offensive and includes your name. You should NOT put your student ID on this screen. Set up home screen with name maybe school (use Keynote, Notablity, PPT, screen shot, take a picture, etc.).

Choose Create Presentation. Go to the ipad Photos, and open up the photo of the screen shot you just took in Keynote. In the bottom left-hand corner of the screen, there is an icon that looks like a box with an arrow pointing up. Tap on that icon. Tap any of the first three presentations themes. Tap the Double-tap to edit box. Next tap on the Use As Wallpaper icon. Edit the photo by placing your finger or stylus on the photo and panning it or zooming it in/out. The keyboard will appear. Type in your first and last name. You can edit the text by clicking on the paintbrush in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Once you have your slide ready, click on the play icon. In the bottom right-hand corner, select Set Lock Screen. If you want to add a photo with your name on the lock screen: Save a picture to your ipad camera roll. Open Keynote. Open up the presentation you did for your lock screen. In the upper right-hand corner, click on the + sign. Choose the picture you want for your presentation. Take a screen shot of the slide.

How to Add Apps Back Onto the ipad Go to the Apple Store. At the bottom of the screen, tap on the Purchased icon. See on top not on this ipad Choose the apps you want to download on the ipad. Download the Google Drive App since your old files from Notability should be backed up.

If you want to move the files from Google Drive to Notability, tap and open the file. Once the file is open, you will see dots in the upper righthad corner. Click on those dots. You will see an Actions box, click Open In... Choose Notability.
